Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

Bentley has triple win in Daily telegraph public poll.

  • Bentley Mulsanne named ‘Best Luxury Car’ at national awards
  • Bentley Continental GT and Flying Spur take runner-up spot
  • Winners decided by British public via Telegraph Motoring online poll
Bentley’s pinnacle flagship, the Mulsanne, is honoured with the title ‘Best Luxury Car’ at the prestigious Telegraph Motoring Awards. Meanwhile, the iconic Bentley Continental GT and Flying Spur luxury sedan are runners-up, in a luxury category dominated by Bentley.
The results, which were announced at a gala event in central London today, were decided by members of the public who voted for their favourite cars via the Telegraph’s Motoring website.

Kevin Rose, Bentley Member of the Board for Sales, Marketing and Aftersales commented:
“Bentley is the most successful luxury car brand in the world, and our sales have been growing fast both in the UK and globally. It is particularly rewarding to be honoured by the British public in our home market, so it is with real pride that we accept this award.
“Every Bentley is handcrafted by our skilled and dedicated team in Crewe, which makes each car a true luxury possession. On behalf of Bentley Motors and our 3,700 colleagues, I would like to say a big thank you to everyone that voted for us.”
Launched to public and media acclaim in 2009, the Bentley Mulsanne is the British company’s flagship model.  The four door luxury sedan is named after the famous corner at the Le Mans 24 hour race, where the company achieved an impressive six wins.  Powered by Bentley’s legendary 6.75 litre twin turbo V8, the 505 bhp Mulsanne can complete the 0-60 mph sprint in just 5.1 seconds, and go on to a top speed of 184 mph.

In addition, the Mulsanne offers driver and passengers alike a uniquely stylish, refined and luxurious interior space.  Striking wood veneers are paired with the finest hand-stitched leather, meaning each Mulsanne interior takes Bentley’s craftsmen and women over 120 hours to complete.  To enhance the cabin experience even further, Mulsanne owners can specify their car with a refrigerated bottle cooler behind the rear armrest – complete with bespoke designed crystal champagne flutes – luxurious deep pile lambswool carpets, or with a comprehensive rear seat entertainment suite, which features a Wifi hotspot and iPads integrated within the picnic tables.
Bentley is marking its 95th anniversary in the UK by unveiling the ‘Mulsanne 95’, a striking special edition of this pinnacle sedan. Only 15 examples will be hand crafted by Bentley’s Mulliner division in Crewe and all are reserved for customers in the United Kingdom. Their British-inspired colours, as well as a unique wood veneer and range of design cues, all emphasise the exclusive nature of the Mulsanne.
The Bentley Continental GT was first unveiled in 2002 to great public and media acclaim, and since has sold more than 75,000 examples.  The Continental range – now encompassing the consummate GT V8, the new sports-enhanced GT V8 S, the signature GT W12 and performance flagship GT Speed models, all available in coupe and convertible body styles – offers customers an unrivalled blend of performance and luxury.
The Bentley Flying Spur is the fastest road-going luxury sedan in the world, delivering supercar performance with an exquisitely refined interior ambience.  Powered by Bentley’s iconic 6.0 litre W12 engine producing 616 bhp, the car is capable of covering the 0-60 mph sprint in just 4.3 seconds, and reaching a top speed of 200 mph.  Now, for the first time, customers can also specify their Flying Spur with Bentley’s powerful and efficient 4.0 litre V8, which offers a range of over 500 miles on a single tank.
