Jeep Cherokee Territory tour comes to the UK.

A series of special off-road tracks, designed to demonstrate the remarkable capability of the new Jeep Cherokee, are being brought for the first time to the UK.
The tracks, which include steep climbs, descents, ramps and axle twists, will be made available to the public in London, which has been chosen as one of four major European cities to be visited by the Jeep® Cherokee Territory European Tour throughout June and July.
The tour will allow enthusiasts, 4x4 lovers and potential customers to try Jeep Jamboree off-road adventure-style driving without having to leave town.
Jamborees in the United States are weekends dedicated to 4x4 driving in which customers tackle extreme off-road adventures in their Jeeps. Since the 1950s, when the first Jamboree was organised on the legendary Rubicon Trail in the Sierra Nevada mountains, these events have been an important part of the brand's heritage, and an opportunity to test Jeep’s extraordinary off-road capabilities.

The special off-road tracks have been set to appear in high-profile locations in Alessandria (Italy), Paris (France), London (UK) and Hamburg (Germany). The Queen Elizabeth II Olympic Park is the venue for the UK leg, on 11-13 July.
Around 750 test drives will be organised in the four cities of the tour to challenge visitors on a special course packed with snares and tricky crossings. It will be the opportunity to get to know the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, the ‘off-road’ specialist of the Cherokee range, fitted with a 3.2-litre petrol engine delivering 272 horsepower and paired to the new nine-speed automatic transmission.
“Nothing beats the pleasure of driving a Jeep off-road in the wilds, but not everyone has the opportunity to do that,” says Damien Dally, head of brand, Jeep UK. “The Jeep Cherokee Territory European Tour, however, will allow Jeep fans, friends and customers to try the car on a number of tough tests without having to leave London. It’s a fantastic opportunity and will, I am sure, create a great spectacle too.”
Introduced to the UK in June, the Jeep Cherokee range has evolved into a completely new vehicle delivering to customers a fresh interpretation of the "Go anywhere, do anything" attitude that distinguishes every model belonging to the legendary American brand.
The new Cherokee line-up is marketed in the UK in Longitude, Longitude+ and Limited trim levels, equipped with the new 2.0-litre MultiJet II turbo diesel and in Trailhawk powered by with the 3.2-litre Pentastar petrol engine. The efficient 2.0-litre turbo diesel delivers 170 horsepower and is coupled with the new nine-speed automatic. A 140 horsepower version of the 2.0-litre engine is also fitted on the new Jeep Cherokee in combination with a six-speed manual gearbox.
The range starts at £25,495 for the Cherokee 2.0 Longitude 140 6 Speed Manual FWD, rising to £35,695 for the Cherokee 2.0 Limited 170 9 Speed Automatic 4X4.
