Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

Renault Group continues to grow month after month, beating 2012 figures already.

As of 17th July, Renault Group sales in the UK have overtaken the 2012 total figure of 55,685 units in just over six months.  The milestone in sales volume is more than three months ahead of the same point in 2013 reflecting the continued accelerated momentum of the Group in the UK.
The Renault Group’s growth in the UK, including Renault and Dacia brands, has outpaced the market growth for an unprecedented 14 consecutive months, making the UK the second fastest growing country in the world for the Renault Group.
In the total car market to date this year, Renault has the fastest growing share increasing 0.8 percentage points with Dacia the second fastest growing increasing 0.4 points.
Dacia market share is up a staggering 86% on last year’s figures, thanks to the success of “no-nonsense” models like Sandero, Stepway, Duster and Logan MCV, while Renault cars and vans are up an equally impressive 61% with still more new vehicles arriving in showrooms for September – the All-New Twingo and All-New Trafic.  These impressive sales results means the UK is now the seventh most important market for the Renault Group globally.
Darren Payne, Renault UK Sales Director, said: “These figures reflect the considered effort, care and attention that Renault UK and our dealer network have put into achieving such rapid growth in the UK.  This journey is by no means over, however, and we aim to continue on this momentum by offering a comprehensive range of vehicles people want to drive, combined with excellent value and customer service.”

The market share for Renault cars is currently at 2.5% year-to-date, while Renault vans, the long standing market leader in Europe, stand at 5.8% share.  Dacia, still a relative newcomer to the UK, has now reached 1.0% share of the car market.
“Dacia has been a revelation since arriving in the UK in 2013, and its success story I’m sure has many more chapters. Today is a great day for the Renault Group, and another step closer to achieving our ambitions in the UK market”, said Payne.
Contributing to the success of the Renault Group is the long-line of industry and consumer awards.  A hat-trick of triumphs at May’s Fleet World Honours for the iconic Clio, Kangoo Van Z.E. and the innovative marque’s all-new 1.6-litre twin-turbo engine followed another three category victories at the What Car? awards, which added to an already over-spilling trophy cabinet.  Dacia has also been getting in on the act, with Sandero collecting Small Hatchback of the Year at the Honest John awards most recently.
Customer service improvements are also paying off for the Renault Group.  In January, Renault had commissioned global market research experts J.D. Power to measure the performance of its dealers as part of its bid to climb into the top 10 vehicle manufacturer list of independent UK quality surveys by 2017.  The launch of the J.D. Power Dealer of Excellence Award Programme, the first of its kind in Europe, was designed to give high-performing dealers enhanced status compared to competitors, and demonstrate a commitment to customer servicing satisfaction irrespective of their brand.  The first group of seven dealers were recognised in June and named a ‘Dealer of Excellence’.
It was the most significant move made by the French marque when it comes to listening to consumer feedback, and is helping to shape the future of its business and comprehensive range, including the Captur crossover and all-electric ZOE and Twizy.
Now is the perfect time to join the revolution, as Renault has just launched its sizzling hot Renault Summer Season.  This includes a wide range of new vehicle offers including and accessory packs offers with tow bars and bike racks, and 20% off car accessories for the duration of the promotion.
All Renault Selections personal contract purchase offers also include the French brand’s award-winning after sales care package 4+, worth at least £1,000, offering a four year/100,000 miles warranty and roadside assistance together with four years/48,000miles free servicing.
Dacia, Europe’s fastest-growing car brand, is the most successful UK retail car launch in history. Its “pay for what you value” ethos, offering British buyers exactly what they need, nothing more, nothing less, is clearly striking a chord.
