Jaguar Land Rover Canada reports sales for July 2014.

  • Jaguar Land Rover Canada sales increased by 39 percent in July compared with same time period last year for best July ever
  • Land Rover brand marked its best July ever with an increase of 55 percent year over year
  • Jaguar has increased calendar year-to-date sales by 21 percent
Jaguar Land Rover Canada today reported July sales for both brands of 648 units, a 39 percent increase from July 2013 and the fourth best sales month in history.

Jaguar sales were 117units, down six percent from July 2013 and up 21 percent in year-to-date sales. Land Rover sales were 531 units, up 55 percent from July 2013 for its best July ever.



“As we pass the half-way point of the summer, it is very encouraging to see the continued growth of both our brands,” said Barbara Barrett, National Communications and Public Affairs Manager for Jaguar Land Rover Canada. “July marks another best sales month ever and as new and exciting product continues to be announced, we expect the momentum to continue.”

BRAND HIGHLIGHTS:

Jaguar
Total Jaguar sales reached 117 units, with top sales performers being the XJ with a 19 percent increase compared with the same period last year and the Jaguar XF with a ten percent increase year over year. 
The 2014 Jaguar line-up features four models: The Jaguar XJ luxury sedan, powered by a 340-hp supercharged V6 all-wheel-drive, a 470-hp supercharged V8 or a 550-hp supercharged V8 in the XJR model. 

The Jaguar XF sports sedan powered by a 240-hp turbocharged four cylinder, a 340-hp supercharged V6 in all-wheel-drive, a 510-hp Supercharged V8 in the XFR, and a 550-hp Supercharged V8 in the XFR-S. The XK coupe and convertible grand touring cars are powered by either a 385-hp V8 or a 510-hp supercharged V8 in the XKR. Jaguar also offers its highest performance models ever, the 2014 Jaguar XKR-S coupe and convertible with a 550-hp supercharged V8.

The 2015 model year Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe arrived in showrooms in May and is headlined by the F-TYPE R Coupe, with a 550hp 5-litre supercharged V8 engine, enabling acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, and a top speed of 300 km/h. The convertible version comes in three variants, 340-hp F-TYPE, 380-hp F-TYPE S and 495-hp F-TYPE V8 S. The new F-TYPE Coupe model line-up is headlined by the F-TYPE R Coupe, with a 550hp 5-litre supercharged V8 engine, enabling acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 4.2 seconds, and a top speed of 300 km/h (limited).

Land Rover

In July, Land Rover brand sales reached 531 units making it the best July ever and fourth best sales month ever. Range Rover was the volume leader with a 271 percent increase year-over-year and Range Rover Sport had a strong month with a 114 percent increase year-over-year.

Land Rover's 2014 model year line-up features five models: The 240-hp 2.0 litre powered LR2 and Range Rover Evoque; the updated LR4 now powered by a supercharged 340-hp V6; the Range Rover Sport and Range Rover, both available with the 340-hp V6 and 510-hp supercharged 5.0 litre V8 powertrains.
