Peugeot enhances already stunning 308 range with two new models.

With excitement building following the debut of the performance-oriented 308 GT at the Paris Motor Show, PEUGEOT has announced full details of two new models that will further enhance the range’s appeal.
The 308 GT Line capitalises on the sporting character of the GT and is available on a wide range of PureTech, HDi and BlueHDi powertrains. Meanwhile, the 308 Sportium is a new special edition model for retail customers and features PEUGEOT’s ultra-efficient three-cylinder petrol engine. Both models will bring new buyers to the versatile and practical 308, the reigning European Car of the Year 2014.
PEUGEOT 308 GT Line
Introduced in both hatchback and SW body style, the GT Line offers customers the sporting character of the 308 GT matched to one of five powertrain options. In the range it sits between Allure and GT and builds on the Allure’s strong standard specification list. Additional exterior equipment includes 18-inch ‘Diamant’ alloy wheels, twin exhausts with black laquered rear diffusor and tinted rear side windows.

Inside, the 308 GT Line features half-Alcantara sports seats with red stitching, plus a driver and front passenger lumbar adjustment with massage function. A ‘GT style’ leather steering wheel with red stitching and ‘GT style’ carpet mats are also included, along with aluminium style pedals and door sill protectors.
Within the 308 range, the GT Line replaces Feline trim which will be deleted. Prices start at £21,345 on the road.
PEUGEOT 308 Sportium
Introduced as a retail special edition and positioned between the 308 Access and Active trim levels, the PEUGEOT 308 Sportium is about promoting the benefits of the Brand’s 1.2-litre PureTech three-cylinder petrol engine.
With emissions as low as 105g/km thanks to exceptional efficiency and advanced stop/start engine technology, the PureTech unit is available in either 110hp or 130hp power outputs. State-of-the-art refinement means it’s a smooth-running performer that’s equally at home on city streets or motorways.
Sportium models are based on Access trim, so already come with a high level of specification including DAB digital radio, air-conditioning and cruise control with a speed limiter. In addition, standard kit includes 16-inch ‘Diamond’ alloy wheels, driver’s lumbar support, rear parking sensors, leather steering wheel, leather gearstick gaiter, plus automatic headlamps and wipers.
Sportium is only available on the 308 hatchback, and with a choice of five-speed or six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmissions. Prices begin at £17,345 on the road.
