SEPTEMBER SALES - JEEP - The Iconic US brand continues to watch sales soar.

Jeep’s continued popularity in the UK is illustrated in today’s new car registrations figures, which shows the best September for the legendary 4x4 manufacturer in the UK since 2007.
The iconic brand registered 762 sales last month, the 13th consecutive increase comparing year-on-year, and up 134 per cent when compared with the same period last year. Market share was 0.18 per cent compared with 0.08 per cent in 2013.
Meanwhile, the year-to-date figure of 2844 means the 4x4 brand is up 95 per cent when compared with the 1458 units it had sold year-to-date in 2013.

The largest model in the current Jeep range, Grand Cherokee, performed exceptionally well again, registering 244 sales – an increase of 88 per cent over September 2013, according to figures supplied by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
“The sales figures are fantastic news, not only for Grand Cherokee, but for the Jeep brand as a whole,” says Damien Dally, head of brand, Jeep UK. “We are delighted that more and more people are now turning to Jeep for their new car, and are doing it just as the brand really starts to ramp up its activities in the UK again.
“We know that there is still work to be done of course, but with Grand Cherokee’s continuing success, new Jeep Cherokee’s successful launch here, and the new, small Jeep Renegade being readied for introduction early next year, we’re confident that these sales figures will continue to climb.”
