USA - Jaguar at the Los Angeles Auto Show, new cars, more tech, more growl.

  • The 2016 model year Jaguar F-TYPE sports car receives new powertrain and driveline options
  • A six-speed manual transmission option will be available in rear-wheel drive V6 models

Jaguar will debut its 2015 model year line up at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show and showcase the 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE.

2016 Jaguar F-TYPE

The Jaguar F-TYPE will receive new powertrain and driveline options for the 2016 model year. New options include a manual transmission option, All-Wheel Drive, and a new 550hp "R" Convertible.  The fundamentals continue to remain true to core DNA of Jaguar vehicles: lightweight construction, refined power, perfect proportions and outstanding design.

The six-speed manual transmission in the F-TYPE has been designed to for enthusiasts and purists. The combination of the free-revving supercharged V6 and a precise, perfectly-weighted shift delivers motoring brilliance. 

Jaguar has integrated a highly efficient six-speed ZF® transmission into the lightweight aluminum body structure of the F-TYPE. This manual transmission is matched exclusively to the rear-wheel drive 340hp and 380hp V6 powertrains.

The 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE will also have the addition of Instinctive All Wheel Drive® (AWD) as standard equipment on R models and an option on S models.


2015 Jaguar XK

The Jaguar XK Coupe and Convertible models have entered their final year for 2015, and Jaguar is commemorating the end of production with the XK Final Fifty limited edition. For the rest of the 2015 XK line, Jaguar has streamlined model choices, augmented standard equipment and reconfigured options to make personalizing a 2015 XK model easier. 

The 2015 XK Final Fifty limited edition will be the last 50 XKR models produced for the U.S. market, including 25 Coupes and 25 Convertibles. The 2015 XK Final Fifty limited edition commemorates the evolution of Jaguar coupes and convertibles that emerged after the E-Type, starting with the XJS in the 1970s and then the XK8 in the 1990s. 

All have combined distinctive 2+2 style and luxury with high power and polished performance. Pricing begins at $85,4251 for the XK Coupe.

2015 Jaguar XJ Sedan

The Jaguar XJ delivers the quintessence of British luxury, combining supercharged performance and cutting-edge construction technology with a nearly bespoke-level of interior craftsmanship. The 2015 XJ range offers two wheelbase lengths, three supercharged engines, and Jaguar Instinctive All Wheel Drive®. 

The All Wheel Drive™ system is teamed exclusively with the 340hp 3-liter supercharged V6 engine. An active torque-management system, Instinctive All Wheel Drive™ offers a performance-oriented rear-drive bias and can shift power to the front wheels to either pre-empt or counter wheel slip2. The range-topping XJR, available in both wheelbase lengths, exclusively features a 550hp supercharged V8. Pricing begins at $74,2001.

2015 Jaguar XF Sedan

Following a model year that added major powertrain updates, the Jaguar XF enters 2015 with expanded standard equipment and realigned pricing for an even greater competitive advantage. 

New Portfolio and Sport versions, each available with rear-wheel drive or Instinctive All Wheel Drive™, join the XF line with distinct luxury and performance personalities. By raising the standard spec on 2015 XF models, Jaguar has enhanced value at all trim and performance levels. 

The line now begins with the XF 2.0T Premium, which adds the equipment formerly in the Premium Pack option and other features -- all at a significant cost advantage to customers. Pricing begins at $51,1751.

2016 Jaguar XE

A true driver's car, the Jaguar XE redefines the concept of the sports sedan thanks to its advanced lightweight construction, streamlined styling, luxurious interior, and outstanding ride and handling. The XE goes on sale in 2015 in the UK and in 2016 in the U.S. The high-performance S model will be at the top of the line-up.

The Jaguar XE S provides responsiveness and refinement from a supercharged 3.0-liter V6. Generating 340hp and 332 lb-ft of torque, this engine is linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shift controls. Accelerating to   0-60 mph in just 4.9 seconds, the XE S has an electronically-limited top speed of 155 mph3.

Jaguar Land Rover has announced the launch of justDrive, an industry-leading app technology that integrates multiple smartphone apps into a single, voice-activated in-car experience.

Developed by Silicon Valley-based CloudCar, Jaguar Land Rover has optimized justDrive for its InControl™ platform for Apple iOS8 users. 'justDrive for Jaguar Land Rover' integrates popular apps and services, services, such as Spotify, Twitter and Yelp, to give Jaguar and Land Rover drivers an unprecedented level of integration with navigation, media, social interaction, voice search and information services while minimizing driver distraction.

 Free to download, justDrive is also available on Android from early 2015 and offers drivers continuously updated apps and services throughout their vehicle ownership.
