SKODA's growth continues with a 22,000 rise in sales from Jan-June, June saw growth too, but far only just.

ŠKODA registered continued growth throughout the first half of the year. Between January and June, deliveries to customers worldwide rose by 4.2% to 544 300 vehicles (first half 2014: 522,500), representing a new sales record for the manufacturer in the first six months of the year. In June, the ŠKODA brand delivered 94,600 vehicles to customers (+ 0.1% compared with June 2014). 
The new generation of the Skoda Fabia and the Skoda Superb have started excellently: in the first six months of 2015, deliveries of the Fabia in Western Europe grew by 24.3%, while the Superb have increased by 30 , 6%.

"It was a challenging first half but successful year for ŠKODA," says Werner Eichhorn, responsible for Sales and Marketing of the Board of ŠKODA. "In June, we were able to maintain the same high level we reached just a year ago. This result demonstrates the lack of uniformity of developments in some markets. On balance, the positive trends in Western and Central Europe have offset the weaker state Russian, Ukrainian and Chinese markets. "
The ŠKODA brand is in top form in Europe Occidenta l. In June, deliveries to customers of the company increased by 9.3% to 42,700 vehicles (June 2014: 39,100). In the first half of the year, ŠKODA grew by 3.5% to 225,500 vehicles (January-June 2014: 217,900). In Germany, the strongest European market for ŠKODA brand deliveries in June rose 13.5% to 17,000 units, a growth that in the first six months of the year was 5.6% with 80,900 deliveries. 
This has strengthened the position of ŠKODA as the best import brand in this market.ŠKODA also recorded double-digit growth in the first half of the year in Spain (12,300 vehicles; + 25.0%), Italy (9,200 cars; + 18.5%), Sweden (7,600 vehicles; + 14.9%), Switzerland (10,200 vehicles; + 11.5%), Ireland (5,200 vehicles; + 16.3%) and Portugal (1,800 vehicles; + 26.3%).
In Eastern Europe , including Russia, ŠKODA delivered 7,300 vehicles in June (June 2014: 11,100) and 44,000 vehicles in the first six months of 2015 (January-June 2014: 58,700). The market share of Skoda in Eastern Europe has grown to 4.6% at the end of June (June 2014: 4.2%). In the Russian market , ŠKODA sold 4,400 vehicles in June, after 7,900 in the same month last year (minus 43.9%). 
Between January and June, deliveries of the brand in Russia stood at 28,000 units (January-June 2014: 42,000, minus 33.3%).ŠKODA recorded a double digit growth during the first half of 2015 in Romania (4,200 vehicles; + 25.9%), Serbia (3,000 vehicles; + 10.7%), Bulgaria (1,300 vehicles; + 32.7%) and in the Baltics (3,100 vehicles; + 20.0%).
ŠKODA again achieved strong growth in Central Europe . Deliveries to customers rose by 14.9% to 15,300 vehicles in June (June 2014: 13,300) and 13.2% in the first six months of the year, with 88,900 vehicles (January-June 2014 : 78,600). The market share of ŠKODA in Central Europe reached 21.3% at the end of June (2014: 20.3%). 
In the local market of the brand, Czech Republic, deliveries in June rose 24.3% to 7,600 vehicles (June 2014: 6,200), while in the first half of the year, ŠKODA deliveries increased 22.9% to 42,800 units (January-June 2014: 34,800). In the first half of 2015, the manufacturer also recorded double-digit growth in Hungary (5,200 vehicles; + 20.3%) and Slovenia (3,000 vehicles; + 15.8%).
In China , ŠKODA deliveries recorded an increase of 5.8% in the first half of the year with 138,300 vehicles (first half 2014: 130,700). In June, the brand delivered 20,000 vehicles to customers (June 2014: 23,600, minus 15.2%). ŠKODA also grew up in India, where deliveries increased in June by 39.0% to 1,300 units (June 2014: 1,000), and in the first half of the year rose 4.3% to reach 8,000 deliveries (first half of 2014: 7,700). 
ŠKODA increased more than doubled its deliveries in Turkey (11,700 vehicles; + 112.0%) and Egypt (5,400 vehicles; + 106.5%). The brand recorded double-digit growth in Israel (10,100 vehicles; + 23.0%), Australia (2,400 cars; + 30.2%), Taiwan (1,400 vehicles; + 41.4%) and New Zealand (600 vehicles ; + 30.1%).
