Nissan announces sales for Europe for July, with growth in all major markets, including Russia.

Nissan announced sales results for the European market for the month of July: 55,954 units (Nissan and Datsun), equal to 3.9% of the market. With a number of key markets showing significant gains in the period, it has to be mentioned that Russia, which has seen most other brands taking significant hits, and plant closures, has had little effect on the Nissan and Datsun, which has seen a small growth there.

• UK: in January-July, Nissan sales to individuals were up 12% year on year, rising to 99,357 units.
• Germany: in July, the market share of Nissan rose 0.5% over the same period last year, rising to 2.2%. With this result, Nissan is the Japanese brand with the best performance of the month and extend the leading position on the solar year.
• France: sales stood at 5,516 units in July, representing 3.5% of the market. Two-thirds of the units sold were crossover.
• Spain: in July, the market share of Nissan has grown by 0.5 percentage points over the same period last year, rising to 4.8%. With 5,310 units sold, Nissan is in eighth place among the most commercially successful car brands and ranks first among Asian brands in Spain.
• Italy: with 5,293 units sold in July 2015, Nissan has grown by 17% over the same month last year. For the period January-July the growth was 23%, amounting to 40,807 units sold.
• Russia: the market share of Nissan-Datsun has grown by 0.6 percentage points year on year, rising to 5.7%. Datsun sales in the country totaled 2,288 units.
