USA - Chevy displays second concept at SEMA, The Realtree® - The Bone Collector™.

Outdoors-inspired, camo-covered concept illustrates personalization possibilities
Leveraging the strength, versatility and personalization possibilities of the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Chevrolet teamed up with camo hunting gear company Realtree® and Michael Waddell – the star of Outdoor Channel’s The Bone Collector™ to collaborate on an ultimate outdoor adventure vehicle.

The Realtree® Bone Collector™ concept was introduced today at the SEMA Show, where it joined other personalized Chevy truck concepts designed to showcase the depth and breadth of the brand’s three-truck lineup.
“The capability of Chevy trucks has always enabled customers to go where they want to go and that inspiration is the foundation for these exciting concept vehicles,” said Sandor Piszar, director of Chevrolet Truck Marketing. “They demonstrate what’s possible through personalization, inspiration and the assurance of the industry’s most-dependable, longest-lasting full-size trucks.”
The Realtree Bone Collector concept is based on the Silverado 1500 High Country crew cab with 4WD, which features a bold new front-end design for 2016 along with new technologies such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. It wears larger, aggressive off-road tires, mounted on black Chevrolet Accessories 22-inch black aluminum wheels, while incorporating Chevrolet Accessories’ new off-road package, which includes a front push bar, assist steps and sport bar.
Additionally, an LED off-road light bar available from Chevrolet Accessories is mounted to the sport bar to help illuminate the trail at night. There’s also a unique drawer system in the cargo bed for safe, secure stowage of outdoor gear, and a cooler mounted just behind the cab.
An eye-catching camo theme complements the Realtree Bone Collector green graphics, which incorporates Michael Waddell’s signature. The color extends to the six-piston disc brake calipers, part of a concept upgrade package from Chevrolet Performance that also includes 16.1-inch-diameter (410mm) disc rotors. The green theme extends to tie-down rings and bungee cords in the bed, used to secure camping gear.
“This Silverado concept is the perfect outdoor lifestyle vehicle, offering the capability to take you deep into the woods and mountains, with the specialty gear to make the excursion more successful,” said Waddell. “The Realtree camo graphics really distinguish it, too, adding functional personalization.”
Inside, the Silverado Realtree Bone Collector features a unique instrument cluster display with a Bone Collector green-tinted lens, matching stitching accents on the leather-trimmed bucket seats, steering wheel, console and more – including custom-embroidered front-seat headrests. The camo pattern carries over to interior trim components across the instrument panel, while Chevrolet Accessories’ floor liners protect the carpet beneath them.
Additional interior elements from Chevrolet Accessories include Silverado-logo door sill plates, an ambient lighting package and an under-seat storage system.
Along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, the concept vehicle stays connected to the outside world via OnStar 4G LTE with a Wi-Fi hotspot.
And like all 2016 Silverado 1500 models, the Realtree Bone Collector concept brings the underlying strength of high-strength steel construction, while its powerful V-8 engine features a best-in-class 420 horsepower and is an integral to its capability. The 6.2L V-8 enables up to a 12,000-pound max trailering rating, when properly equipped.
As with other concepts displayed at the SEMA Show, Chevrolet will evaluate responses and opinions to the truck to help determine production possibilities for additional accessories, performance parts and even special-edition models.
