US SALES 2015 - AUDI - The VW Scandal has yet to hurt Audi's sales, finishing the year higher than 2014.

  • December 2015 marks the 60th consecutive month of record sales for Audi in the U.S.
  • The most recent month stands as the best-ever U.S. sales month and the first time monthly sales have exceeded 20,000 vehicles
  • All-time record sales year for Audi Certified pre-owned vehicles
Audi reported that its U.S. sales in 2015 increased 11.1% from the previous annual record in 2014 to 202,202 vehicles sold. December 2015 sales increased 6.0% to 20,399 vehicles.

December 2015 represented the best-ever December U.S. sales results in Audi history, as well as the 60th consecutive month of record sales for Audi in the U.S. The previous December record was set in 2014 with sales of 19,238 vehicles. 2015 marks the sixth consecutive year of record sales for Audi in the U.S. and the first time the brand has achieved annual sales of more than 200,000 vehicles.

“The power of the Audi brand is shown by passing 200,000 in U.S. sales five years ahead of schedule,” said Scott Keogh, President, Audi of America. “But we will not rest. We have more growth, more leading-edge technologies and exciting additions to our product line-up in sight.”

Sales of Audi SUV models remained robust through the end of the sales year. The Audi Q3 and Q5 both achieved all-time record sales in the month of December, with the Q3 posting a 66.6% increase over December 2014 and the Q5 posting a 33.1% increase over December 2014. Year-to-date sales for the Audi luxury SUVs were strong, with an overall increase of 30.4% for the Audi Q3, Q5 and Q7 models combined.

The Audi A3 family also continued to perform well, with a 20.9% sales increase for the month of December and a 61.7% increase for the year.

Audi Certified pre-owned vehicles also increased to record levels for the year. December resulted in 4,286 CPO vehicles sold, which brought the annual CPO sales for 2015 to an all-time high of 48,608 vehicles, a 3.4% increase over the previous year.

Audi holds the longest running monthly record sales streak in the premium car market according to a competitive sales report from MotorIntelligence.com.
