WHAT CAR AWARDS - Rolls-Royce takes the £100,000 category best buy with the Ghost Series II, again.

The annual What Car? Awards have affirmed Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ status as creator of the world’s finest luxury motor cars, with Ghost Series II Extended Wheelbase claiming the award for ‘Best Buy’ in the £100,000+ category.

This marks a decade of dominance for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in this prestigious class within the What Car? Awards, and the second win in succession for Ghost Series II.

On conferring the award, the What Car? judging panel made particular reference to the Ghost’s dynamics, declaring: “The light steering is accurate and lets you guide the nose precisely at most speeds, the pedal responses are easy to modulate, and the twin-turbocharged V12 is as silken in its delivery and refinement as an engine gets.”
Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, added, “Since its launch in 2009 the Ghost has propelled Rolls-Royce Motor Cars to new heights.
It attracts a very special breed of some of the most discerning and successful entrepreneurs in the world, seduced by this special car’s thoroughly modern interpretation of Rolls-Royce luxury.
The Ghost Series II model combines significant advances in technology with a considered update to the car’s alluring exterior. Customer response continues to be overwhelmingly positive and I am absolutely delighted that experts from the world’s media agree.”
The What Car? honour follows the announcement of growth for the brand in the UK in 2015, with Ghost firmly establishing its position as the super-luxury motor car of choice for a new breed of successful British entrepreneurs.
This year will see the opening of Rolls-Royce Motor Car’s seventh UK dealer at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol and the first customer deliveries of Dawn, the world’s most social and beautiful super-luxury Drophead Coupé.
Globally, the success of Ghost Series II contributed significantly to the marque’s dominance of the 200,000 Euro + super-luxury sector.
