MEXICO SALES JANUARY - FCA see's it's thirteenth month of continued growth with most brands showing gains.

  • FCA México reported its 13th consecutive month of sales gains with 8,375 units sold
  • Dodge sales improved 39 percent versus prior year
  • Ram sales were up 55 percent compared to January 2015; best January since 2011
  • Fiat Uno sales improved 35 percent versus January 2015
  • Jeep® Wrangler reported its best January ever
FCA México today reported its 13th consecutive month of sales gains with 8,375 units sold, up 3 percent versus prior year. “We are proud of the continued innovation and growth of our product portfolio," said Bruno Cattori, President & CEO of FCA México. 

"In January, we launched the new Fiat 500X in Mexico, the first crossover of the FIAT brand, raising the bar of the segment with unprecedented equipment, performance and functionality. 



Also, last month, the Alfa Romeo 4C arrived at our dealerships, growing the lineup of the Alfa Romeo brand. Both the positive sales results and record sales for the Ram 700, which maintains its ranking as the top leader of the segment, are a result of hard work and the commitment we have to our customers.”  

Alfa Romeo


Alfa Romeo reported sales of 23 units. Alfa Romeo MiTo and Alfa Romeo Giulietta maintain a positive sales trend thanks to their unique design and performance. Last month, the first Alfa Romeo 4C vehicles arrived at dealerships. This vehicle offers race-inspired performance, advanced technologies and groundbreaking Italian design.

Chrysler


Chrysler brand reported sales of 214 units.
Last month during the North American International Auto Show, the all-new Chrysler Pacifica was unveiled as the ultimate family vehicle, exceeding the wants and needs of the modern parent. The Pacifica provides unparalleled versatility, innovative entertainment and technology features, and unsurpassed safety features. Chrysler Pacifica redefines the minivan segment, after FCA US LLC created it more than 30 years ago.

Dodge


Dodge brand reported sales of 2,495 units; up 39 percent versus previous year. Dodge Attitude significantly contributed to the Dodge brand sales with 1,190 units sold; best January since 2009. The Dodge Charger turned in its best January sales since 2009. Sales of the Dodge Durango were up 7 percent; best January since 2009. Another Dodge vehicle with positive results was the Dodge Journey, which reported sales of 713 units. Dodge Vision continued to report positive sales results, posting 301 units sold.

FIAT


FIAT brand recorded sales of 733 units.


In January 2016, the FIAT brand continued to expand with the introduction of the all-new Fiat 500X to the Mexican market. This is the first crossover of the brand and is loaded with up to 70 advanced safety and security features. Fiat Uno sales improved 35 percent; while Fiat Palio sales improved 87 percent versus January 2015.
Jeep®

Jeep sales were 1,579 units. Jeep Wrangler sales increased 13 percent versus January 2015; its best January ever. Jeep Grand Cherokee continued its strong momentum, posting sales of 528 units; up 8 percent versus January 2015. Jeep Cherokee achieved sales of 300 units.
Mitsubishi Motors

Mitsubishi Motors Mexico posted sales of 1,423 units. Mitsubishi Outlander 2016, which offers more than 100 new features, has received great acceptance in the Mexican market. Last month, it posted sales of 217 units, an increase of 115 percent versus 2015.
Mitsubishi Mirage extended its history of success in the market with sales of 488 units while the Mitsubishi L200 recorded sales of 384 units.
  
Ram

Sales for the Ram brand in January were 1,908 units; a 55 percent improvement and best January since 2011. Ram 700 logged sales of 936 units. Last month, Four Wheeler magazine named 2016 Ram 1500 its “Pickup Truck of the Year”.
