This rare 1972 Lamborghini Jarama GT, one of just 127 built from 1970-1973, sports a mere 40,380 miles on the odometer and has undergone a recent mechanical service. In 1972, the Lamborghini model line-up consisted of four models; the Espada, the Miura S, the Jarama GT and the P250 Uracco. Each of the cars had a distinct personality.

The Jarama GT was the Grand Touring Lamborghini. Like its predecessor 350/400 GT and the Islero GT, it was of front engine – rear wheel drive design and powered by a glorious 3.9 liter V12 rated at 350 horsepower. Power was transmitted through a 5-speed manual transmission. This was the car that provided high speed touring capability in a comfortable 2+2 package and is best described as a gentleman’s Lamborghini.
In fact, Ferruccio Lamborghini himself chose a Jarama for his personal car. The styling was bold with a large expanse of glass area giving it a panoramic effect from the driver and front passenger perspective. The belt line was low and the front wheel arches were extremely tall–almost touching the top of the front fender line–giving it a masculine and purposeful look.
The wheels were sourced right off the Miura each with five air vents and a knock off hub assembly. A total of 328 cars were built–172 from the first generation Jarama GT and 156 from the second generation Jarama GTS. The Jarama would prove to be the very last of the Lamborghini front engine V12 GT 2+2 road cars.
There has been a recent upswing both in the appreciation and value of the classic Lamborghini GT 2+2 cars such as the 400 GT, Islero and Jarama. This is the perfect opportunity to buy the very last rendition of the front engine V-12 powered Grand Touring 2+2 car produced by Lamborghini: the Jarama GT.
