USA SALES SEPT - Jaguar Land Rover continues to grow in the US with a significant 21% jump in sales, the highest since 2003.

  • Best JLR U.S. September sales month since 2003, up 21% from September, 2015
  • Jaguar XE sports sedan, XF luxury sedan and F-PACE SUV drive Jaguar U.S. sales up 168 percent for best September sales month since 2003
  • Land Rover Discovery Sport continues to grow, up 5 percent from 2015 September sales
  • Land Rover U.S. sales hit second highest September total ever
Jaguar Land Rover today reported September 2016 U.S. sales: Jaguar sales were 2,662 units, a 168 percent increase from 995 units in September 2015; Land Rover sales reached 5,637 units, the 2nd highest September ever and down 4 percent from record sales of 5,855 units in September 2015; Jaguar Land Rover September U.S. sales for both brands hit 8,299 units, a 21 percent increase from 6,850 units in September 2015; making it the best JLR September sales month since 2003.
Year-to-date, Jaguar Land Rover U.S. sales reached 74,740, up 25 percent from 59,619 units in 2015. 

“Jaguar Land Rover continues to increase its U.S. presence with a 21 percent increase this month and 25 percent for the year,” said Joe Eberhardt, President and CEO, Jaguar Land Rover, North America, LLC. “We are thrilled that Jaguar is tracking to be the fastest growing brand in the U.S. and that Land Rover is up for the year and just missed another record this month.”
U.S. BRAND HIGHLIGHTS
Land Rover
For the month of September, Land Rover sales hit 5,637 units sold, the second highest September ever for the brand, and 218 sales off the 5,855 record sales achieved in September, 2015. For the month of September, the Range Rover Sport was the volume leader hitting 1,532 units sold.
Sales of the Discovery Sport hit 1,201 units, up 5 percent from 1,140 in 2015; making it the best September sales month for the two year old model. The Discovery family will be expanded in 2017 with the introduction of the new 2017 Land Rover Discovery.
In the U.S., year to date through September, Land Rover is continuing to grow its record levels with sales up 12 percent to 54,391 units sold versus 48,403 in 2015.  Diesel powered versions of Range Rover and Range Rover Sport continue to play an important role in the lineup with a 16.5 percent take rate year to date
The 2016 Land Rover model line-up features five models: The Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque, both powered by 240-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter engines; the LR4, powered by a 340-hp supercharged V6 engine; and the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport available with five powertrain options – a 340-hp supercharged V6 petrol, a 380-hp supercharged V6 petrol, a 510-hp supercharged V8 petrol, a 550-hp supercharged V8 petrol and a new 254-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 diesel.

For the month of September, Jaguar sales were 2,662 units, a 168 percent increase from 995 units in September 2015; making it the best Jaguar September sales month since 2003.
September marked the fourth full sales month of Jaguar’s two new entry luxury vehicles: the 2017 XE compact luxury sedan, starting at $34,900(1), and the 2017 F-PACE compact luxury SUV, starting at $40,990(1). The Jaguar XE hit 829 units sold making it the brand’s volume leader for the month, and the F-PACE hit 809 units sold.  Sales of the all-new, redesigned Jaguar XF hit 415 units, up 56 percent from 266 in 2015.
In the U.S., year to date through September, Jaguar is continuing to grow with sales up 81 percent to 20,349 units sold versus 11,216 in 2015.  
Receiving its mid-cycle refresh for 2016, the full-size Jaguar XJ sedan, available with three powertrain options – a 340-HP supercharged V6, a 470-hp supercharged V8 and a 550-hp supercharged V8 – is offered in both standard and long wheelbase lengths in both rear- and all-wheel drive configurations. Completely redesigned for the 2016 model year, the mid-size Jaguar XF sedan is offered with two supercharged V6 powertrains producing 340- and 380-hp and is available with rear- or all-wheel drive. The 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE is newly available with options of all-wheel drive and a manual transmission. Available powertrains include two supercharged V6 engines producing 340- and 380-hp and a 550-hp supercharged V8 all available in both in coupe and convertible body styles across four trim levels. 
Starting with 2016 model year vehicles, the Jaguar model line-up features an improved competitive value position via steps such as increased standard equipment or new lower MSRP choices by model. Also starting in model year 2016, all Jaguar models come standard with Jaguar EliteCare, an ownership package with class-leading five-years or 60,000-mile warranty, complimentary scheduled maintenance coverage, roadside assistance and Jaguar InControl® Protect & RemoteTM2.
