Dacia has announced UK pricing and specification for its updated vehicle range, which was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in September.
Available to order now, New Sandero is priced from £5,995, New Sandero Stepway from £8,795 and New Logan MCV from £6,995. Even after all these upgrades, the New Sandero and New Logan MCV remain the most affordable new car and new estate car, respectively, available in the UK.
Efficiency gains of up to 10 per cent from new SCe 75 1.0-litre
The updates encompass changes to the interior, exterior and equipment levels, while these also see the introduction of a new SCe 75 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine for the New Sandero and New Logan MCV.

This engine produces the same power as the outgoing 1.2-litre 16V 75, yet is up to 10 per cent more efficient. The well-proven TCe 90 petrol and dCi 90 diesel engines continue to be available across the revised range.
Offering customers more comfort, convenience and driving enjoyment, the enhancements ensure the Dacia range presents an even more tempting proposition to car buyers and are certain to build on the brand’s multi-award winning status. Since its launch in the UK in 2013, Dacia’s numerous awards include What Car?’s ‘Best Small Car under £12,000’ for four consecutive years for the Sandero and the brand has also been in the top five, out of 35 manufacturers, in the Auto Express Driver Power customer satisfaction survey for three consecutive years.  Dacia was named one of the ‘Most satisfying car brands of 2016’ by Which?, finishing third out of all manufacturers – just behind Tesla and Porsche.
Additionally, the upgrades and more focused UK equipment levels, which have been finely honed following UK customer feedback, have contributed to New Sandero, New Sandero Stepway and New Logan MCV benefiting from significantly increased residual values. In the November 2016 edition of the CAP Gold Book, the latest versions offer average RV improvements of as much as 5.8 per cent and nearly £600 after the first year on New Sandero.
Distinctive new front end design showcases Dacia’s new lighting signature
Of the comprehensive changes the most obvious is a brand new front end design that showcases Dacia’s new lighting signature. All three models receive new double optic front headlights, as on the Duster, and there are also LED Daytime Running Lights as standard across the range – a first for Dacia – which feature a pattern of four stacked rectangles. A brand new grille with a honeycomb design – edged in chrome on the Sandero Stepway and with a chrome centre line on the Sandero and Logan MCV – together with a sharper, more chiselled bumper that has more prominent fog lights complete the more dynamic, contemporary look.
The purposeful new style continues at the back. The rear lighting signature is based on four illuminated squares in the Sandero and Sandero Stepway, while the bumper designs have been reworked to emphasise the cars’ stance. The Sandero Stepway also benefits from a chromed exhaust tailpipe that highlights its tough, ready-for-action character.
Completing the exterior are fresh wheel designs for all three models. The available paint shades have also been extended to include the new Mink colour and the Chestnut colour that was previously unique to the Ambiance Prime trim level.
Contemporary interiors with a quality feel
The interior upgrades include a more elegant and more contemporary satin-effect chrome finish for the air vent surrounds, trim strip and centre console fascia, while a new four-spoke steering wheel design has the horn push in the centre, moving it from its previous position on the indicator stalk. The new steering wheel also offers improved integration of the cruise control and speed limiter buttons for Lauréate versions, an exclusive Soft Feel finish for high-end trim levels and, on the Sandero Stepway, a ‘Stepway’ logo on the chrome surround.
Additionally, the New Sandero Stepway boasts interior door releases that are now chrome plated and upholstery that features a 3D weave for a greater sensation of depth, enhanced by top-stitching. There are new upholstery fabrics, textures and patterns for the New Sandero and New Logan MCV too, which convey a fresher feel and a greater impression of comfort and quality.
For more convenience and in line with customer comments, the front electric window switches have been moved from the centre console to a panel by the door handles. There is the addition of a 12-volt power socket, which allows rear passengers to charge mobile devices, and numerous stowage spaces, including a front mobile phone cubby hole and a tray on the side of the console to accommodate small items. The new centre console design incorporates a bottle holder at the rear.
Equipment upgrades include Air Conditioning standard from Ambiance trim
Standard equipment has been strengthened with the additions of DAB radio on all three models (except for Access trim) – meaning that every Dacia model now benefits from DAB radio.  Air conditioning is now standard on Ambiance versions and above – meaning the Sandero Ambiance is the most affordable car with this feature as standard on sale in the UK.
Top-of-the-range Lauréate versions now include the MediaNav navigation system, incorporating a 7-inch touchscreen, AUX input, radio and USB and Bluetooth connectivity, and rear parking sensors as standard. Manoeuvring is further simplified with the availability of a reversing camera and Hill Start Assist.
The New Sandero, New Sandero Stepway and New Logan MCV continue to be available in a choice of trim levels that will be familiar to many existing Dacia owners. Sandero and Logan MCV can be ordered in Access, Ambiance and Lauréate specification, while the Sandero Stepway is available in Ambiance or Lauréate trim.
Specification by trim level – New Sandero & New Logan MCV
Accessversions provide such standard features as black cloth upholstery, LED daytime running lights, double optic headlights with chrome surrounds, tinted windows, ESC (Electronic Stability Control) with ASR (Traction control) and Hill Start Assist (HSA), Anti-lock braking system (ABS) and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), driver’s airbag, passenger airbag with deactivation function, front side airbags, ISOFIX points for child seats in both outer rear seats, 15-inch Tarkine wheel trims and 60/40 split folding rear seat.
On the New Sandero and New Logan MCV, Ambiance adds equipment that includes manual air conditioning, electric front windows (with driver’s one touch), AUX and USB input, DAB/FM/AM radio with fingertip controls and two front and two rear speakers, Bluetooth, remote central locking, ECO mode (TCe 90 and dCi 90 versions only), Stop and Start (TCe 90 and dCi 90 versions only), anti-intruder automatic door-locking system and Satin Chrome central console surround and instrument dial surrounds.  A new option for 2017 on the Ambiance trim is a Height Adjustment Pack (£50) that includes driver’s seat, steering wheel and front seatbelt height adjustment.
Over Ambiance, Lauréateincludes some new features for 2017 – MediaNav Evolution 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system including satellite navigation and rear parking sensors.  This is in addition to cruise control, speed limiter, front fog lights, heated and electrically-adjustable door mirrors, height-adjustable driver's seat and steering wheel, leather gearknob and a seven-function on-board computer. Sandero versions receive Dark Carbon Indite cloth upholstery and the Logan MCV Black Indite cloth upholstery.
Specification – New Sandero Stepway
All New Sandero Stepway models boast a generous standard specification, which incorporates 16" ‘Stepway’ alloy-look wheels, 40mm raised ride height in comparison to the Sandero, Metal Grey roof bars, skid plates in Satin Chrome, tinted windows and Dark carbon ‘Stepway’ cloth.
New Sandero Stepway is available in Ambiance and Lauréate versions.  Compared to New Sandero and New Logan MCV, New Sandero Stepway also adds 16-inch wheels, front fog lights and the Height Adjustment Pack to Ambiance.  New Sandero Stepway adds electric rear windows and soft feel steering wheel to Lauréate.
Duster EDC: the most affordable automatic crossover in the UK
The New Sandero, New Sandero Stepway and New Logan MCV sit alongside the acclaimed Duster SUV, which was recently enhanced with the availability of the automatic six-speed EDC (Efficient Dual Clutch) transmission. The most affordable automatic crossover in the UK, the Duster EDC combines the comfort and smoothness of a dual-clutch automatic gearbox with fuel economy and low CO2 emissions that are similar to those of a manual gearbox.
Available on Lauréate and flagship Prestige 4x2 Duster variants, the automatic EDC gearbox is mated to the popular 1.5 dCi 110 turbodiesel engine. Perfectly complementing each other, the pairing returns fuel economy of 62.8mpg (NEDC Combined) and CO2 emissions of 116g/km.
Since relaunching to continental Europe in 2004, more than four million Dacias have been sold globally. In the UK, over 90,000 Dacia models have been sold since its launch in the country in January 2013.
