USA SALES APRIL - NISSAN/INFINITI - Nissan dips on the month with a small increase at Infinti

Nissan Group today announced total U.S. sales for April 2017 of 121,998 units, a decrease of 1.5 percent over the prior year, with Infiniti taking a small increase, it is not enough to make up for the losses at Nissan, albeit just around 2,000 lost sales, there are a few jewles amongst the brands that did help to keep the sales from loosing further ground.

Sentra, Maxima and LEAF are the car models that increased sales with the crossovers Titan, Pathfinder, Rogue and Armada all moving ahead with sales, the commercial arm, also dipped on the month, giving an overall monthly decrease, however, the year to date sales are both still running ahead at both Nissan and Infiniti.

Nissan highlights:

• Nissan Division finished April with 111,201 sales, down 2 percent.
• Overall sales of Nissan crossovers, trucks and SUVs set an April record, up 11 percent.
• Sales of the Rogue crossover set an April record with sales 27,386, up 18 percent.
• Nissan Titan sales increased 299 percent to 4,033.
• Nissan Armada sales climbed to 2,007, up 135 percent.
