With its smooth ride, spacious interior, cavernous 510-litre boot and terrific towing ability, the Volkswagen Jetta has always been a great car in which to ‘jet’ away, and now it offers better value than ever, thanks to the introduction of the Jetta Limited Edition.
Based on the popular Jetta SE, the Jetta Limited Edition packs in £2,900-worth of extra equipment for a premium of just £160. Only 450 of these models are available, and they are in Volkswagen Retailers now at a price of £20,750 RRP OTR.
Every Jetta Limited Edition comes with a super-frugal 1.6-litre 105 PS TDI engine with BlueMotion Technology and a five-speed gearbox, returning 67.3 mpg on the combined cycle and emitting just 105 g/km of CO2, meaning it qualifies for free first-year VED, and just £20 per annum thereafter.
But while it might be miserly at the pumps, the Jetta Limited Edition doesn’t skimp on the luxuries. Standard SE features include a leather-trimmed handbrake, gear knob and multifunction steering wheel, DAB digital radio, Bluetooth telephone connectivity, USB and iPod audio connections and cruise control.
On top of these, the Jetta Limited Edition adds Volkswagen’s RNS 315 touchscreen satellite navigation system, front fog lights, front and rear parking sensors, rear tinted glass, 16-inch ‘Perth’ alloys and a Convenience Pack consisting of an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, electrically foldable door mirrors with puddle lights, and automatic headlights and windscreen wipers.
The Jetta Limited Edition comes in three colours: Deep Black Pearl, or Reflex Silver or Platinum Grey Metallic.
My thoughts on all things motoring, press releases, reviews & techie stuff, from around the world. Please note that the pictures of vehicles within this blog are used as examples of the specific press releases, on occasions, due to the lack of available official pictures, examples are re-produced. ANY AND ALL PROFANITIES WILL BE REMOVED AND THE PERSON/S RESPONSIBLE WILL BE BANNED, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Purpose
I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.
