It has been identified that due to the incorrect assembly of the driver airbag inflator. If the vehicle is involved in a collision and the air bag is required to deploy, then the gas flow path may have been blocked increasing the internal pressure within the inflator. As a result, the driver airbag inflator casing may crack and fragment.

Remedial Action :

Recall all affected vehicle to inspect and where necessary replace driver airbag with a quality assured item.
