Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

BRABUS detailing, rear parking sensors and the Premium equipment line are all standard. The Premium equipment line includes smart media package; height-adjustable steering wheel and driver’s seat; and electrically-adjustable exterior mirrors.
The special editions are inspired by smart’s collaboration with Disturbing London, the 360 entertainment company founded by Dumi Oburota and Tinie Tempah. The company designed its own unique BRABUS fortwo coupé and fortwo cabriolet which will be unveiled at an exclusive event on 12 July.
The smart and Disturbing London collaboration was launched in 2015 with a series of short online documentaries. This latest collaboration brings the Disturbing London brand and its spirit of independent, disruptive entrepreneurialism to smart’s environmentally aware, metropolitan audience.
Krishan Bodhani, Head of smart UK, said: “The two cars that are the culmination of our collaboration with Disturbing London look incredible. I am delighted we have been able to build on this already successful partnership: it’s a testament to the authenticity and credibility of our relationship that we are able to offer a limited production run of smart Disturbing London special edition models that we know will appeal to our smart audience.”

New Kia Soul Mixx and Maxx editions add high spec and practicality to range.

  • Soul Mixx and Maxx available to buy in the UK
  • Infinitytm Premium sound system, urban styling pack and 18” wheels come as standard
  • Soul Mixx priced from £18,150, Soul Maxx priced from £19,950
Kia’s stylish all-new Soul range has been expanded with the arrival of two high specification models – the Soul ‘Mixx’ and ‘Maxx’ – which are now available in dealer showrooms. These models create an impressive presence on the road and are differentiated from the three launch models by their 18 inch alloy wheels, urban styling pack and LED daytime running lights.
The original Soul launched in 2008, proved that Kia could design and build excellent cars, whilst keeping the focus on practicality and value for money. It became a market leader in the United States and China and became a top five car in its class. The 2014 second-generation version of the Kia Soul takes advantage of the boom in the compact crossover market, with global annual sales forecast to rise to more than 600,000 by 2015.

The all-new Soul is stylish in design and takes on an SUV-like appearance. All versions are front-wheel-drive, five-door crossovers – Kia research showed that whilst customers want the looks, semi – elevated driving position and perceived safety advantages of a 4x4, they do not want the taxation and higher fuel consumption that four-wheel drives entail.
Standard equipment on both models includes a premium Infinitytm sound system, eight inch touchscreen satellite navigation, leather upholstery, heated front seats and automatic air-conditioning. The Mixx comes with contrasting body and roof colours, roof coloured door mirrors and a reversing camera. Additionally the Soul Maxx includes a smart key entry system with engine stop/start button, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, front and rear parking sensors and panoramic sunroof.
The Soul Mixx is available in 1.6 CRDi six-speed manual and automatic versions as well as a 1.6 GDi manual – with prices starting from £18,150. The Soul Maxx starts from £19,950 and is available in six-speed manual 1.6 GDi and 1.6 CRDi options.

New edition added to Audi's successful A1 range

Bright contrasting colour schemes and extra equipment for new A1 version positioned between S line and Black Edition

  • New addition to the ‘A1 Editions’ range positioned between S line and Black Edition models – OTR prices from £18,125 to £20,605
  • Around £2,200-worth of additional design and technology-oriented equipment including metallic paint and xenon headlamps for a premium of £950
  • Available in conjunction with 1.2 TFSI 86PS, 1.4 TFSI 122PS and 1.6 TDI 105 PS engines

A colourful new complement to the S line specification for Audi A1 and A1 Sportback models has just become available in conjunction with selected petrol and TDI engines. The A1 S line Style Editions with their striking exterior and interior additions will sit midway between the S line and more overt Black Edition options already offered for the A1, and will include around £2,200-worth of design and technology-oriented options for a premium of £950 above the equivalent S line model. Prices will range from £18,125 OTR to £20,605.

The new S line Style Edition upgrade includes metallic or pearl-effect paint finishes in a choice of Ice Silver, Phantom Black, Misano Red or Glacier White colour schemes. These are complemented by a gloss black finish for the contrasting roof line in three-door versions, and a fully gloss black contrasting roof in Sportback models, both of which also feature gloss black door mirror housings. An additional black styling package also brings a gloss finish for the single frame front grille surround and a matt black finish for the grille, fog light surrounds and number plate holder.

S line versions of the A1 are already marked out by exclusive S line exterior styling treatments for the grille, side sills and bumpers, and in S line Style Edition versions the more purposeful stance these create is further enhanced by xenon headlamps with distinctive LED daytime running lights and 17-inch ‘five V-spoke’ alloy wheels with a bi-colour finish, which replace the standard 17-inch ‘five twin-spoke’ S line wheels. A bi-colour ‘five-arm’ design is also available as a no-cost option.

Inside the A1 S line Style Edition, the sleeves for the striking propeller-style air vents that are a focal point of the attractively sculpted A1 dashboard are finished in either Misano Red or Glacier White when these exterior colours are chosen, or in gloss black in conjunction with the Ice Silver and Phantom Black exterior options. These elements further emphasise the sporting tone set by the part-leather sports seats and three-spoke S line sports steering wheel. The S line equipment list also includes powered windows and mirrors, a split/folding rear seat, air conditioning, a Concert CD audio system incorporating an SD card reader linked to a 6.5-inch retractable display screen, a Bluetooth mobile phone interface and a Driver’s Information System.

This attractive new specification is available in conjunction with three highly efficient engines from the A1 range – the 1.2 TFSI with 86PS, the 1.4 TFSI with 122PS and the 1.6 TDI with 105PS – all of which operate with the fuel-sparing benefit of engine start-stop and recuperation systems. The A1 1.6 TDI S line Style Edition arguably provides the ultimate combination of sporting style, keen performance and exceptional efficiency, with up to 74.3mpg possible according to the official combined cycle test, which equates to CO2 emissions of just 99g/km.

The new Style Edition specification is the second in the A1 range to be based on the popular S line trim level. Range-topping Black Edition models, including upgrades such as 18-inch titanium finish alloy wheels, the 180-watt Audi sound system, privacy glass and electronic climate control, also build on the S line foundation, and are available in conjunction with two 1.4-litre TFSI engines – the 140PS version with Cylinder-on-Demand technology and the supercharged and turbocharged 185PS option – plus the 2.0-litre TDI with 143PS.

Audi A1 in a new style – New Audi A1 S line Style Editions have just become available featuring around £2,200-worth of design and technology-oriented upgrades for a premium of £950 above the equivalent S line model. Prices will range from £18,125 OTR to £20,605.
