The Jaguar F-Pace Sports Utility Vehicle takes the Supreme award in the 2016 Woman's Car Of The Year Awards.

The Jaguar F-PACE has been named ‘Supreme Winner’ at the 2016 Women’s World Car of the Year Awards. As well as collecting the top accolade, the car was also named as Women’s World SUV/Crossover of the Year.

These awards are the latest in a line of major industry honours for the F-PACE since its launch in April, including being named Auto Express ‘Car of the Year’ and ‘Best Premium SUV’ by Telegraph Cars.

Women’s World Car of the Year judges submit their personal shortlists and this year 294 cars were nominated by 17 judges from 14 countries. A master list was compiled and judges picked six category winners from the 32 cars that made the grade. They voted once more to make the Jaguar F-PACE the Supreme Winner from the six category winners.

The Honda Jazz and Honda Civic are both winners in the 2016 Woman's Car Of The Year Awards Ceremony.

Honda has scooped two awards at the 2016 Women’s World Car of the Year. The company was the only brand to win twice, with the Honda Jazz and Civic both scooping prizes in their respective segments.

Women’s World Car of the Year is the only car award voted for entirely by women. This year, 17 judges from 14 countries nominated almost 300 cars for recognition. Each of the judges is a professional motoring writer and is considered an expert in the field.

The award was created to reflect the different buying criteria many women have when purchasing a car. Jury members submit their own short list; from this a list of the top five cars in each category are decided.

Judges then vote by awarding points under five criteria - engineering, appearance, comfort, storage and value for money.

Sandy Myhre, Managing Director of Women’s World Car of the Year, congratulated Honda: “From the early lists the judges send in there were some strong contenders in one or two categories but mostly only a few percentage points separate the top three cars in each segment,” she said. “Honda must be congratulated for winning two prizes.”

Rare, mega low mileage 30th anniversary Mini's going under the hammer,

A pair of low mileage Mini 30 special editions will be the star cars at Anglia Car Auctions’ forthcoming Classic Car Sale on Saturday 4^th April. The cars, from a production run totalling just 3000, have been in storage for 25 years. One has just 18 miles from new, while the other has covered 137 miles.

The Mini 30 was a celebration of the Mini’s thirtieth anniversary with 2,000 cars produced in Cherry Red Pearlescent, and a further 1,000 in black. 

The cars, from the same source, were registered with the same sequence of digits and have been stored in a heated garage since 1989. Both cars are completely original, retaining their original alloy wheels and unique Mini 30 trim.  Both cars still have their handbooks, brochures, and commemorative books by Rob Golding as originally provided by Austin Rover.

The black 18-mile car has an estimate of £11-15,000, while the Cherry Red 137-mile example has an estimate of £10-15,000. As neither have been driven since 1989, neither have ever been MoT’d.

A Mini 35 special edition is also available. One of only 200, the car was recently imported from Japan and is completely rust free. The guide price for this example is £4-5,000.

Anglia Car Auctions’ proprietor Lyn George said “These cars are bound to attract Mini collectors from all over, especially being such low mileage Mini 30s in pristine condition. Our April sale is historically very popular so we’re bringing in more catering, opening a second gate to make entrance for the public much easier and even have a block of Portaloos on order.”

Two new Suzuki bikes launched with pricing and specs.

Suzuki has confirmed pricing for its new Address 110 and Inazuma 250F models, with the economical commuter-targeted machines priced at £1,799 and £3,999 respectively.

The Address 110 defines urban practicality, with its impressive 145MPG* figure, a kerb mass of just 97kg, and over 20 litres of under-seat storage. The stylish new scooter also boasts cutaway footboards, making it easy to stop around town, a rear brake locking system for use when parked, and an ignition cover which aids in security.

Performance comes from a new fuel injection system and redesigned piston skirts, while cast aluminium wheels with hollow cores boost handling capabilities.

The new scooter comes with an RRP of £1,799 while a number of optional accessories are also available, including a top box, hand guards, and tall windscreen.

The Inazuma 250F joins Suzuki's on-road range for 2015, following the success of the naked Inazuma 250 launched at Motorcycle Live 2012.

The new F variant adds a fairing and screen for improved weather protection on longer journeys, all wrapped around an economical 248cc parallel twin capable of 85MPG* while also delivering enough punch for a spirited ride out of town.

The Inazuma 250F is available with an RRP of £3,999. Both the Address 110 and Inazuma 250F are expected in dealers in March.
