A family-owned dealership is celebrating after being nominated for a prestigious Car Dealer Magazine award. John Stuart & Warrington MG, which is based on Offord Lane, Warrington, has reached the final of the Used Car Award 2016, for a used car dealership with over 100 cars.
The awards ceremony, which will be held in London on 28 November, is the highlight of the used car calendar and celebrates excellent dealerships nationwide. 

Sponsored by motor finance specialist Black Horse, the Used Car Dealership of the Year award is set to be hotly contested, with six dealers vying for the prize.
John Stuart & Warrington MG has a reputation built on excellent customer service and aftersales provisions. One lucky motorist is set to win £2,500 to make their Christmas wish come true, as MG embarks on a nationwide roadshow. Kicking off on Saturday 12th November at the INTU Merry Hill Shopping Centre in Brierley Hill, MG’s Christmas Wish Tour will visit 23 towns and cities across the UK, holding 30 tour events in just 36 days.
Alongside entering the Christmas Wish prize draw, motorists can get into the party spirit with festive photos, which will see the best selfies promoted on social media.

MG is looking to beat all previous months with a big September sales push, the GS will help make this possible.

Building on the launch of its all-new SUV – the MG GS – and ‘End of Summer Madness’ seasonal campaign success, MG Motor UK is gearing up for what is expected to be another record-breaking quarter.
According to figures released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders (SMMT) earlier this month, the iconic British marque increased its sales by 130% compared to the same month last year. 
In addition, it reported the 4th highest percentage increase in registrations across the market, with year-to-date figures up 17.95% compared to 2015.
With three months of the year still to run, this means that MG has already sold more cars than in any full year previously, up to 2015.

MG’s latest registration figures reflect an industry-wide trend, with the market growing by 3.3% overall against the same month last year. A total of 81,640 new cars were registered in August 2016, with year-to-date performance remaining positive, up 2.8% to 1.68 million units.

MG grows as the market stagnates, thanks to the supermini MG3 and the All-New GS SUV.

MG Motor UK has hit the 2,000 sales mark for 2016 despite new car demand levelling in July.
Since the MG GS launched in June, customers have been flocking to dealerships and snapping up the latest addition even before the new registration plate in September. 

The sales of this affordable SUV have helped boost MG’s overall sales up by 15% from last year (year-to-date). The super-fun supermini MG3 has also continued to make a contribution.

Trade association, The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), described 2016 as having a healthy start but the market is now showing signs of cooling. Despite this, MG Motor sold 305 units in July – which is a 28% increase on last year. The industry average for this month was 0.06% and MG’s year-to-date figure was five times more than the industry average of 2.82%.
Interest in the brand, an affordable line-up, and great deals are all contributing to the continued success of MG. The quarter three deals currently running are as follows*:
MG GS
  • MG is offering an £850 deposit contribution on all MG GS models
  • The SUV is available on 0% APR representative finance. This is available up to five years with a minimum 20% deposit
  • The MG GS comes, as standard, with a five year or 80,000 mile (which occurs first) manufacturer parts and labour warranty
MG3
  • A £900 deposit contribution is available on all MG3 models
  • The MG3 is available on 0% APR representative finance. This is available up to five years with minimum 20% deposit
