A 2009 Ford Focus RS with just 45 miles on the clock to go under auction at the upcoming CCA Event in Birmingham.

• A ‘brand new’ 2009 Ford Focus RS, with just 45 miles on the clock, will be auctioned at Classic Car Auctions’ (CCA) next sale.
• The car has been kept in storage since new.
• The car joins a host of other highly collectible Fast Fords for sale at the two-day auction.

A 2009 Ford Focus RS, with just 45 miles on the clock, is ready to be sold at Classic Car Auctions’ (CCA) two-day auction at the Practical Classics Classic Car and Restoration Show, taking place at the NEC, Birmingham.

The delivery mileage car is essentially brand new having been kept in storage for the last seven years. One family owned from new, the car has had just two registered keepers, a pair of husband and wife Ford fanatics.

The Performance Blue car has had one service, carried out in October 2016, and was MoT'd in 2015 and 2016 with the current MoT valid until October 2017. It is estimated at between £32,000 and £36,000 when it goes under the hammer next month.

“The MK2 Focus RS has all the makings of a future classic and indeed are proving popular at auction. Back in February our sister company Silverstone Auctions offered an Ultimate Green example with just 1,800 miles which sold for an amazing £41,063 including buyer’s premium,” comments Guy Lees-Milne, general manager and classic car specialist at CCA.

“With the launch of a new Focus RS to much fanfare and continued demand for all things Fast Ford we expect a similar amount of interest with this amazingly low mileage example,” added Guy.

At CCA’s biggest ever sale, there’s a huge selection of other Fast Fords on offer with everything from a Fiesta XR2 to Escort RS Turbos and Capris.

Highlights include a low mileage 1992 Ford Sierra Sapphire 4x4 Cosworth, estimated at between £20,000 and £25,000. The ex-Ford demonstrator example was restored by RS Classic Cars and Service last year, after being professionally stored from 2005 to 2016.

A 1983 Ford Escort 1600i in concours condition is estimated at between £18,000 and £22,000. Also restored by RS Classic Cars and Service in 2016, the car is totally standard and even includes the original radio. It comes with the original handbook and service book with nine stamps, plus full restoration invoices.

“Our biggest ever CCA auction is a perfect opportunity for Ford fans to purchase their dream classic and so I’d encourage potential buyers to come and visit us at the NEC”, concluded Guy.

A special pre-war Fiat 500 Topolino with a fascinating history will be auctioned by Classic Car Auctions (CCA) on Saturday 19^th March at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre.

This particular example, with silver paintwork and a blue leather interior, was ordered new by one of the wealthiest men in the world at the time, the second Duke of Westminster, Hugh Grosvenor, way back on 14th September 1939. It was registered to the Westminster ancestral country estate, Eaton Hall, in Cheshire.

Now for sale seven decades after it was bought by its first owner, this Topolino will be offered at auction with an estimate of between £12,000 and £15,000.

The Topolino, which translates as ‘Little Mouse’, was one of the smallest cars in the world at the time of its production, and was the predecessor to the iconic Nuova 500 of the 1950s and 60s, as well as today’s popular model.

The Duke ordered his car with a 569L straight four side valve engine, with a manual gear box and in right-hand drive. Amazingly, the car has covered a total of just 1,593 miles in 77 years.

During World War II, the Topolino was transferred to the Duke’s Dublin estate while Eaton Hall was used as a hospital, as well as a temporary facility for the Britannia Royal Naval College. It was then shipped to back to Eaton Hall after the war. Upon the Duke's death in 1953, the car was transferred to the Dowager Duchess and remained part of the family until 1986 when the current vendor came across it.

“This is a remarkable little car with a fascinating past”, comments Guy Lees-Milne, general manager of Classic Car Auction. “Not only does it have ducal provenance, it has an extremely low mileage for a car of its age, making it a very rare find indeed.”

Having been with its current owner for 30 years, this special little car has benefitted from a lengthy and careful restoration, including a rebuild of the engine and a new leather interior.

“It’s amazing that one of the world’s wealthiest men would order such a modest little vehicle and a car of the people,” continues Guy Lees-Milne. “With its amazing story, and just two owners from new, we’re bound to have plenty of interest in its sale.”

A rare 1966 Lotus Elan S2 once owned by icon Peter Sellers, will be auctioned on the 14th November.

A rare 1966 Lotus Elan S2 once owned by famous comedian, actor, photographer, singer and all round icon Peter Sellers, will be auctioned at the Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show on Saturday 14^th November by Silverstone Auctions, estimated at between £45,000 and £50,000.

The car was delivered to Peter Sellers’ Haymarket home on 22^nd June 1966 and driven by him, with wife Britt Ekland in the passenger seat, until 29^th February 1969. 'SAR 57D' then went through two other owners before being purchased by the current vendor. 

The car is offered for sale having been part of an extensive private classic car collection for over a decade. It is in fantastically original condition and has been in dry storage off the road since August 2005. The Elan has covered 65,611 miles from new with the bodywork in good condition and ripe for a light restoration to return it to its former glory. Meanwhile the car is mechanically ‘on the button’, ready to go and be enjoyed by its next owner.

The extensive history file contains the original V5 with Peter Sellers’ signature, as well as MoT Certificates from July 1977 until 2005 and the car will have a new MoT issued before the sale.

First owned by Peter Sellers, who needs no introduction, this Lotus Elan has sat in a private classic car collection for more than a decade and will now be sold for the first time in many years.

“The car is sure to gather a huge amount of attention and we expect that it will appeal to fans of Peter Sellers as well as Lotus enthusiasts alike. This unrepeatable opportunity to purchase such a historically important and interesting car is one not to be missed.”

The Lotus will join nearly 100 other classic cars in an auction at the UK’s biggest and best classic car show on the 14^th and 15^th of November.
