Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

MG celebrates with the opening of it's brand new flagship dealership in the posh area of London.

Earlier this year MG Motor UK announced it would be opening its flagship showroom in the prestigious area of Piccadilly, London. Today, members of the public and invited guests are gathering to celebrate the official opening of this exciting new store.
This new showroom, part of MG’s major expansion of dealerships, is a significant move for the marque. Having a flagship showroom in London places MG in the heart of the growing economy and shows that the brand is back and here to stay.

Today, to mark the official opening of the flagship, people were given the opportunity to visit the showroom and join MG staff in celebrating this exciting move.
Matthew Cheyne, MG’s Head of Sales and Marketing, said: “This is a really exciting day for us, as it marks the official opening of our flagship showroom.
“This showroom will act as a shop window for anyone interested in MG. They will be able to take a look at the cars we are selling, get a preview of what the highly anticipated SUV will look like and gain an insight into the modern MG brand and the direction it’s going in. We’re very much looking forward to welcoming people here.”
MG’s move to London demonstrates the brand’s growth and expanding network, as well as its commitment to investing within the UK economy.
About MG Motor
The iconic British MG brand can trace its history back to 1924 and is world famous for making stylish cars that are fun to drive and own and are sold at remarkably affordable prices. Modern MGs, which are designed, engineered and finally assembled in Longbridge, Birmingham, continue this long and rich MG tradition.
Two cars currently come off the Longbridge assembly lines: the MG6 and the MG3 with several models planned for the immediate and longer-term future.
The MG6 is a medium-sized fastback offering fantastic dynamic handling, high levels of interior comfort and a tremendously spacious cabin area with a cavernous boot. The MG6 won the 2014 Auto Express Driver Power Best Handling Award.
The MG3 is a new generation super-mini which brings fun and style to this sector of the market at very affordable prices. The 1.5-litre petrol-powered car can also be personalised, so owners have the option of giving their car their own style-statement.
MG was voted the fourth best manufacturer in the UK in the Auto Express Driver Power Awards in 2015. MG was the fastest growing brand in Britain in 2014 as shown by official figures issued by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders. Currently MG has the fastest growing network of dealers in the UK as sales continue to surge.

MG announces all new Flagship dealership opens in Piccadilly, London.

MG has announced it will open a prestigious multi-million pound flagship dealership in the heart of London’s Piccadilly. The exclusive showroom, next to The Royal Academy of Arts and directly opposite Fortnum & Mason, is one of the most sought-after retail locations in the world.
MG’s showroom will become a centre of excellence for the iconic 91-year-old brand which is Britain’s fastest growing marque. This is the latest and most significant move in a major expansion of new MG dealerships across the country. In the past 12 months MG has opened 26 new dealerships in Britain, and has declared its intention to continue growing by targeting a further 30 open points.

London was a key goal in MG’s ambitious plans to substantially build its dealer network. It was considered vital for MG to have a flagship presence in the UK’s capital city, right at the heart of the growing UK economy. This is a statement of intent that MG is back in Britain and playing a significant role in the thriving British automotive sector.
MG’s Piccadilly showroom will become one of the most important centres of excellence for MG, a brand that now sells in more than 40 countries globally and is instantly recognisable as an icon of great British design and engineering.
The six-car showroom will be housed in a seven-storey Georgian-fronted building at 47/48 Piccadilly and will incorporate a state of the art showroom with interactive media centre so customers can configure their own car.
As part of the investment, totalling almost £30-million, the building has been sympathetically refurbished and substantially upgraded to accommodate the MG showroom.
MG will run the flagship showroom on the ground floor with offices in the basement. Above are six floors of executive offices. The MG showroom will open in a few weeks time.
The whole of the historic building, just 400yds from Piccadilly Circus is much closer to the landmark statue of Eros than Audi’s flagship showroom. It will give MG an extremely prestigious display showroom in one of the busiest cities in the world.
Matthew Cheyne Head of Marketing, said: “This really is a fabulous central London location where the City of Westminster and the West End theatreland merge. It shows that MG is really back and is becoming a major force again in the British automotive industry.
“This address is, without a doubt, one of the most sought-after international locations and we can’t wait to do business from there.”
Cheyne said that the choice of the prime address in the heart of the nation’s capital was highly significant. He added: “If anyone had any doubts about MG’s commitment to the future, this is a hugely positive statement that MG is back and here to stay.
“This is a very significant investment by MG and we are immensely proud of this fantastic showroom. You simply could not get a more prestigious location in Britain.”
