Citroen is please to announce pricing and specification for the new DS3 and DS3 cabrio, along with some specials.

The UK pricing for New DS 3 & DS 3 Cabrio has been announced today (Monday 1 February). Order books are open now, ahead of the official ‘on sale’ date, which is set for Friday 5 February.  

DS Automobiles UK has also confirmed the availability of New DS 3 & DS 3 Cabrio Performance Black editions, which are available for pre-order with immediate effect.

Following the global reveal of New DS 3 and DS 3 Cabrio last month at Le Louvre in Paris, DS Automobiles has now confirmed UK pricing. New DS 3 and DS 3 Cabrio are available to pre-order now in the UK.

Already renowned for its distinctive personality, unique styling and breadth of personalisation options, the New DS 3 and DS 3 Cabrio line-up now consists of three core trim levels; Chic, Elegance and Prestige.  With enhanced standard equipment and new avant-garde design features, New DS 3 is priced from £13,995 MRRP OTR, whilst the equivalent Cabrio model is available from £16,295 MRRP OTR.

DS Automobiles UK has also confirmed today that the previously announced Ultra Prestige and Performance models will be joined by Performance Black versions to complete an exclusive range-topping collection. Complete with matt black paintwork and gold highlights, the Performance Black editions are the most distinctive New DS 3 variants of all.

CHIC, ELEGANCE & PRESTIGE TRIM LEVELS

With alloy wheels, air-conditioning, an anti-theft alarm and a new 7-inch colour touchscreen, New DS 3 Chicdelivers stylish good looks and an impressive list of standard features. Cabrio versions also benefit from rear parking sensors, a rear spoiler and dark tinted rear windows.

New DS 3 Elegance features brand new ‘Blade’ 16-inch alloy wheels and LED front fog lights. Inside, sports seats with stylish new ‘Dinamica’ cloth trim and automatic air-conditioning provides a comfortable and dynamic ambience. Latest-generation functionality includes rear parking sensors and the DS Connect Box emergency and assistance system.

New DS 3 Prestige versions are specified, as standard, with eMyWay satellite navigation and front parking sensors, as well as Alcantara® upholstery, 17-inch alloy wheels and a plethora of other enhancements.

In addition to these three highly desirable trims, New DS 3 and DS 3 Cabrio Ultra Prestige, Performanceand Performance Black models form a new Exclusive Collection. For example, the Ultra Prestige specification is now available as a Cabrio as well as a hatchback and features luxurious ‘watchstrap’ leather seats - the ultimate expression of DS Automobiles’ refinement and attention to detail. 

PERFORMANCE & PERFORMANCE BLACK

Equipped with a powerful THP 210 S&S petrol engine that produces 208hp and 300Nm of torque, New DS 3 Performance is priced at £20,495 MRRP OTR, with the Cabrio version priced from £22,795 MRRP OTR.

At the very pinnacle of the New DS 3 model range, New DS 3 Performance Black is available from £22,495 MRRP OTR. A Cabrio version is also available priced from £24,795 MRRP OTR.

1955-2015: DS celebrates it's 60th Anniversary at Retromobile.

In its first year as a brand in its own right, DS will be at the 40th Rétromobile show in Paris next week, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the original 1955 DS. From 4 to 8 February 2015, car lovers can enjoy a stroll around the DS area at the Parisian Porte de Versailles Exhibition Centre for an enthralling look back at the legendary DS. The DS exhibition, organised with support from the Amicales Citroën* associations along with DS and SM** enthusiasts' clubs, will include five prestige period models, plus one of the latest arrivals for the DS brand, DS 3 Cabrio, in Ultra Prestige form.

The Rétromobile show in Paris is a major international fixture on the vintage car calendar. The event celebrates its 40^th anniversary as the original DS marks 60 years since its début appearance at the 1955 Paris Motor Show.

In its first year as a brand in its own right, DS has an area at the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Centre, providing an enthralling look back at the legend that is DS. The DS exhibition, organised with invaluable support from Citroën enthusiasts' clubs, will feature five period models plus one of the latest arrivals in the DS brand line-up, DS 3 Cabrio Ultra Prestige.

The period cars on show will provide visitors with an insight into the exceptional heritage that inspires today's DS brand in its quest to offer customers the very best in design, technology, comfort, driving experience, quality materials and outstanding attention to detail.

The stars of the show are:

• DS 19 from 1959, in its original configuration, with a grey-rosé body, aubergine roof, and royal blue interior. This model, adapted for export to Germany, features an engine temperature gauge on the dashboard plus an FM/LW radio. The three-main-bearing engine is coupled with a four-speed gearbox with hydraulic control.
• DS 21 Cabriolet from 1968, with a hydraulic-control gearbox. The superb finish on this exceptionally elegant model extends to red leather upholstery, contrasting with the Carrare white body.
• DS 20 Pallas from 1973, a top-end luxury model featuring tobacco leather upholstery, beige Tholonet bodywork, tinted windows and even a sunroof. The 1985 cm³  engine is mated to a hydraulically controlled four-speed synchromesh gearbox.
• SM Coupé from 1971, previously owned by King Hassan II of Morocco. This model features metallic beige paintwork, special registration plates, natural leather upholstery, air conditioning, a Continental Edison Hi-Fi radio specific to this model, tinted windows and fog lamps. The engine is a Maserati V6.
• SM Coupé from 1972, a model with a Scarabée brown body and light brown upholstery. In addition to the self-levelling hydraulic suspension, similar to that on the DS, this car also boasts Citroën's innovative DIRAVI ‘power-assisted return’ steering, for exceptional driveability.

Alongside these iconic cars, visitors will also be able to admire the DS 3 Cabrio Ultra Prestige on the show stand.

Rétromobile opens to the public on Wednesday 4 February 2015, with the DS showroom in Hall 1.
