Ducati Debuts for 1299 Panigale, Panigale R, Multistrada 1200, Diavel Titanium and Monster Stripe versions of 821 and 1200 S

On the back of a record breaking 2014, Ducati unveil their incredible 2015 model range for the first time to the UK public at Motorcycle Live. New for 2015 is the stunning 1299 Panigale, the race ready Panigale R, the new generation Multistrada 1200, the limited edition Diavel Titanium and the exclusive Monster 1200 S and 821 stripe.

The launch of a new Ducati Superbike always causes a stir and none more so than the 1299 Panigale with its 1285 cm3 Superquadro engine, raising the standard once again in terms of performance thanks to its incredible torque with a value of 144.6 Nm at 8,750 rpm, a dry weight of 166.5 kg (367 lb) and maximum power of 205 hp at 10,500 rpm. With an extremely high power to weight ratio, the 1299 Panigale has become a new benchmark standard for very high performance bikes.

Despite more torque and being more powerful and responsive than the 1199, the bike it replaces, it is easier and safer to ride thanks to the use of innovative solutions devised by Ducati Corse. This is no small part due to the new electronic kit, designed specifically for the 1299 Panigale and integrated into the three Riding Modes that combine with the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) to allow cornering ABS to be made available, along with Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC).

The S version is fitted with the innovative Öhlins Smart EC system – an event-based control system for the suspension. This system takes into account the signals measured and/or elaborated by the bike's other ECUs, modifying the set-up of the suspension during use in order to improve cornering grip, stability, braking, corner entry and handling. The system, which was developed in collaboration with Öhlins uses a NIX-30 fork with TIN treatment on the fork tubes, a TTX shock absorber, and a steering damper regulating each one independently.

Performance and electronics are not the sole preserve of the Superbike family as can be seen with the hugely impressive new Multistrada 1200. Ducati’s technological expertise has produced the new Ducati Testastretta DVT (Desmodromic Variable Timing) engine. 

In what is a first for the motorcycle industry, the DVT engine features a variable valve timing system with independent control of both the intake and exhaust camshafts. This optimises engine performance throughout the power range in all riding conditions thus ensuring maximum power at high rpm, fluid delivery, punchy low-rpm torque and low fuel consumption in full compliance with the latest Euro 4 regulations.

The new Multistrada 1200 also sets a new electronics benchmark thanks to cutting edge technology. The Multistrada includes an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) linking the cornering ABS system and enabling control of the Ducati Cornering Lights and Ducati Wheelie Control. All models now feature Electronic Cruise Control and on the S version a Bluetooth module which allows the bike to be connected to a smartphone for multimedia control of key functions. The S version also maintains the semi-active Skyhook suspension.

The Diavel range has been an incredible success establishing a new sector of sports cruisers and maintaining and increasing its popularity with the recently updated version. Now the ultimate in self-expression, desirability and prestige has joined the Ducati line-up, the Diavel Titanium. This 500 limited edition bike features titanium, carbon fibre, high tech craftsmanship and finishing touches of outstanding quality.

The latest Monster range, only released this year, sees some new additions with the new stripe versions of the Monster 821 and Monster 1200 S. The stripe is characterised by a red colour scheme with a white double side-stripe on mudguard, tank and passenger seat cover. Both bikes also have a red-painted nose fairing, while the Monster 821 Stripe is also equipped with adjustable forks and the Monster 1200 S Stripe with a Ducati Performance carbon undertail plate holder and belt covers.

Whilst all these new model editions to the Ducati brand will cause a great deal of excitement it is the launch of a new Ducati brand, the Ducati Scrambler and its four innovative, highly appealing versions that will create substantial curiosity. 

In a dedicated area, located near to the Ducati stand, the now unmistakable yellow containers will be instilling a fun and informal atmosphere. Here visitors can experience the ‘land of joy’  taking the time to get to know this new world, sitting on the bikes, viewing garments from the Ducati Scrambler clothing collection and taking time to decide how to personalise their Scrambler with an extensive array of accessories.    

The Ducati stand can be found in Hall 3, stand number E30 which also features the Ducati clothing and the latest 2015 collection. Adjacent to Ducati will be the new Ducati Scrambler brand on stand number E10

Suzuki at this years Motorcycle Live, provides more fun, and even builds a bike from scratch.

The Suzuki stand at this year's Motorcycle Live is set to provide enthusiasts with more action and entertainment than ever before, as the Japanese brand debuts seven new models, showcases its 2015 MotoGP machine, starts classic Suzuki race bikes live and even builds a brand new classic superbike from scratch on the stand.

Following the worldwide debut at the Intermot Show in Cologne, the GSX-S1000 will make its UK debut at Motorcycle Live. Using an engine based on the long-stroke motor found in the revered GSX-R1000 K5, the new GSX-S1000 also utilises an all-new lightweight frame and features three-mode traction control. It will be on display alongside its faired sibling, the GSX-S1000F, with both bikes expected in dealers in late spring.

On display alongside the GSX-S range will be the V-Strom 650XT, unveiled at Intermot with wire-spoke wheels and updated styling, and the popular V-Strom 1000 Adventure. The new Address 110 scooter, Bandit 1250S and faired Inazuma 250 will also make their UK debuts. The GSX-R1000, which is available with ABS and a new MotoGP livery for 2015, will also be shown along with the rest of Suzuki's comprehensive model range.

Returning for this year's show will be Suzuki's Live Fire-Up display. A popular attraction at last year's event, four race bikes from Suzuki's decorated history will be started twice a day throughout the course of the show, at 11:30 and 14:30. They include Barry Sheene's XR14, Randy Mamola's XR45, the RGV500 ridden by 2000 MotoGP World Champion Kenny Roberts Jr, and the XR69 replica ridden by Michael Dunlop at the Classic TT.

Adding more live features to Motorcycle Live will be the complete build of a brand new TL1000S. Being built to highlight the number of Genuine Suzuki parts still available for older models, the renowned V-twin sportsbike will be assembled from boxes of parts tbefore being fired into life on the final weekend. It will then be auctioned off to raise money for the Riders for Health charity. Suzuki's Project GSX-R1100 will be on display alongside the TL1000S, a restoration project being completed by the young apprentices at Suzuki's state-of-the-art Apprentice Centre.

For race fans Suzuki is pleased to confirm the attendance of the Voltcom Crescent Suzuki pairing of Alex Lowes and new teammate Randy de Puniet. Randy will be stopping by on Saturday 22 November and Alex will be meeting and greeting fans on Saturday 29 November.

Suzuki can be found on stand 2D30 in hall 2. Motorcycle Live takes place at the NEC in Birmingham from 22-30 November.

New Special Edition Suzuki's to tempt the serious biker.

Suzuki GB has announced availability of the special edition Hayabusa, first unveiled at last year's Motorcycle Live, as well as details of a factory-built, special edition GSX-R750, too.

Arriving in UK dealerships this month, the GSX1300RZ Hayabusa features a host of aesthetic highlights, including a special red and black two-tone paint scheme and seat, as well as gold anodised fork caps, adjusters, steering stem nut and chain adjusters. Black Brembo calipers with red lettering complete the look, to help fans of the legendary hyper-bike stand out from the crowd.

Also available in dealers this month is a special edition version of the iconic GSX-R750. Taking similar design cues as the special Hayabusa, the GSX-R750Z boast a special red and black livery and red seat, as well as silver Brembo monobloc calipers with red lettering, dark gold, anodised steering stem nut, chain adjusters and front forks, with red anodised fork caps and adjusters.

Suzuki GB's George Cheeseman commented, "After the positive reception and customer interest at Motorcycle Live last year, we're delighted to be able to announce the availability of the special edition Hayabusa and the details of the GSX-R750. Both models offer something different over the standard version, and with limited numbers available worldwide, they also offer customers the chance to own something special and unique."

 

The GSX-R750Z is available for £9,899, the same RRP as the standard machine, while the GSX1300RZ Hayabusa comes with an RRP of £11,499 . Both models are included in Suzuki's popular Me Me Me campaign, which has been extended until the end of April.
