- Very early showing of the brand new Leon SC
- Three Leon models for fleet buyers to try, and nine cars in total from SEAT’s award-winning range
- Hot laps in high-performance Ibiza Cupra with a professional driver
- SEAT fleet sales up by 20.1% in May, compared to May 2012
SEAT will go to Company Car in Action 2013 with no less than nine new cars, as the Spanish brand looks to demonstrate why it’s enjoying tremendous growth in the fleet sector.
The CCIA line-up will be spearheaded by the new Leon five-door, with the stunning FR 2.0 TDI 150 PS demonstrating that fleet buyers can have true high performance without paying through the nose; the FR 2.0 TDI hits 62 mph in just 8.4 seconds, yet emits only 106 g/km CO2 and returns 68.9 mpg combined. Its BIK rating is just 16%, and it sits in VED Band B.
Eight SEAT models will be available to test at CCIA, plus one brand new Leon SC on display for visitors to touch and feel – just one day after the car’s official UK debut at the London Motorexpo, Canary Wharf.
SEAT is taking an Ibiza Cupra along, which will be available for hot laps with a professional driver, who’ll demonstrate in riveting fashion what the 180 PS flagship performance supermini is capable of.
The new five-door Leon went on sale in March 2013 and is already contributing to impressive growth for SEAT in the fleet sector thanks to its outstanding combination of high quality and low running costs; May 2013 fleet sales were up by more than 20% against May 2012, while over the course of last year SEAT improved its fleet sales by 22% compared to 2011.
The new Leon is the latest addition to SEAT’s model range, but it’s far from the only reason why an astute driver would look to SEAT for his or her next company car. From the compact-yet-spacious Mii right up to the multi-award-winning Alhambra MPV, every SEAT is high value, high quality and high on driver appeal.
Attendees at CCIA will be able to try a three-door Mii Sport, whose 75 PS three-cylinder engine is punchy yet highly efficient, returning 60.1 mpg combined. The Mii is a masterpiece of space efficiency too, managing to squeeze space for four and a generous boot into a body only 3.5 metres long.
The new Toledo will be there too, which is another remarkable exercise in space utilisation and virtually unmatched when it comes to practicality for the money. It seats five in comfort and has a huge 550-litre luggage space. An SE 1.6 TDI 105 PS model will be at the event to drive.
The CCIA product line-up is completed by the Ibiza – SEAT’s stylish supermini, and consistently its best-selling car – in SE 1.6 TDI 105 PS form, and the Alhambra SE 2.0 TDI 140 PS.
SEAT Head of Fleet Steve Robertson said: “We’re really looking forward to showing off the highlights of the SEAT product range at CCIA – there’s no better way to convince company car drivers of SEAT’s strengths than by getting them behind the wheel.
“But the numbers stack up too, with the combination of keen pricing, high residuals and efficient engines making any SEAT a sound financial choice. That’s especially the case with the cutting edge new Leon – which only this week was recognised as the best choice ahead of key rivals in a Fleet News road test.”
Company Car in Action, organised by fleet industry magazine Fleet News, takes place at the Millbrook Proving Ground, 11 June 2013. Fleet operators can register to take part at www.companycarinaction.com
