Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

FCA Canada Inc. today reported September 2015 sales of 24,007, compared with 23,742 vehicles sold in September 2014. These results mark a year-over year increase of 1 per cent and represent the best year-to-date sales through September in the Company’s history.

Additionally, these sales figures maintain FCA Canada’s position as the number one seller of new vehicles in the country through September.

“Twenty-eight percent growth in Ram pickup sales was the key factor in driving the strongest September in 15 years,” said Dave Buckingham, Chief Operating Officer, FCA Canada.

Sales Highlights:

The Jeep brand is headed for another record breaking year, with 2015 calendar-year-to-date sales up 12 per cent over last year’s record total at this time of year.  Leading the sales success for the brand is the Jeep Cherokee that saw 2,823 vehicles sold in September 2015, which represents an increase of 31 per cent compared with 2,155 sales in September 2014.

With exceptional value starting at an MSRP of $25,495 along with award-winning interiors, Jeep Cherokee sales are up 41 per cent so far this calendar year.

Jeep Wrangler also reported strong results in September 2015 with 1,922 sales, up 7 per cent from 1,790 vehicles sold in the same month one year prior. Jeep Wrangler, with its ability to go anywhere and do anything, is seeing a great deal of consistent sales success in Canada. It is the most capable off-road vehicle in its class and outsells every compact SUV in the segment.

These Jeep results signify a September sales record for both Jeep Cherokee and Jeep Wrangler.

Switching gears to the Ram brand, September 2015 marked a sales record with a 25 per cent improvement over the previous sales record of 7,133 sales, which was set in September 2014.

Looking specifically at Ram pickup truck sales within the full Ram brand line-up, there were 8,449 sold in September 2015, compared with 6,592 trucks sold in September 2014. These results represent a 28 per cent year-over-year increase and set a September sales record for both the Ram brand and Ram trucks.

Ram 1500 is Canada’s most fuel efficient pickup truck delivering up to 8.0L/100km; while Ram 3500 delivers best-in-class towing up to 31,210 lb. (14,157kg). Ram trucks have a rugged style and bold focus on the future. They stand the test of time and embrace the toughest challenges, which is why so many customers continue to be attracted to the Ram brand.
