Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

UK SALES 2015 - Jeep has it's best year ever in the UK, and contributes to a worldwide large expansion of sales.

Jeep’s continued and growing popularity in the UK is illustrated in today’s new car registrations figures, which show the best year in the UK for the legendary 4x4 manufacturer since it started trading here.
Jeep capped a hugely successful 2015 ending the year strongly in December, and increasing its sales, compared with the previous year, by 137.2 per cent. December sales took the total for the year to a record-breaking 10,794, making Jeep the fastest-growing car brand in the UK last year.

The latest figures represent an annual increase of 176.1 per cent, when compared with total sales for 2014. Leading the way was the popular new Jeep Renegade B-segment SUV, which accounted for 6334 sales alone.
Jeep market share increased to 0.41 per cent compared with last year’s 0.16 per cent, according to figures supplied by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
“In 2015 we sold more Jeeps in the UK than in the four years of 2011 to 2014 combined,” says Steve Zanlunghi, managing director, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles UK and head of Jeep brand, EMEA region. “We will now look to build on that momentum in 2016 – Jeep’s 75th Anniversary year. I’m very pleased that the UK has accepted the Jeep brand in the way that it has over the past year.
“The success has been a combination of the right product and the strength of our re-vamped dealer network, which is driving strong consideration by the UK public.”
Jeep’s 759 cars sold in December – the 28th consecutive year-on-year increase – compared favourably with the 320 for the same month in 2014. Market share was 0.42 per cent for the month, compared with 0.19 per cent in December last year.
Along with the strong performance of Renegade, the brand’s Cherokee sold 2258, Grand Cherokee 1624, and Wrangler 575.
“It was important that we ended 2015 on a high point, and we certainly did that,” says Damien Dally, head of brand, Jeep UK. “It is quite clear that more and more people are turning to Jeep for their next car, as we continue to bring exciting and desirable new models to the UK.”
