Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

Help for Heroes were given a surprise by Vauxhall Motors when 2 Liverpool legends joined in with their 7-a-side match.

Help for Heroes beneficiaries were given a footballing surprise by Vauxhall Motors when two Liverpool FC legends joined in with their seven-a-side match.
Members of the Band of Brothers – a group which looks after wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans - were enjoying a coaching clinic by Vauxhall in conjunction with Liverpool FC at the Club’s Academy, before Legends, Ian Rush and Jason McAteer, arrived to captain each team in a seven-a-side match.

Veterans were then given a behind-the-scenes tour of Anfield and were joined by current midfielder Adam Lallana.
Cheryl Stibbs, Vauxhall Motors Sponsorship Marketing Manager said, “It has been a pleasure to use our partnership with Liverpool FC to give Help for Heroes this special experience. It was a lovely opportunity to play with some of Liverpool FC’s legends and a day that I’m sure they will remember. Help for Heroes do fantastic work and Vauxhall Motors is proud to be able to support them in every way possible.”
Veteran Jason Wilkes, who served in Kosvo, Bosnia, Iraq, Falklands and completed four tours of Northern Ireland took part in the football coaching clinic.
Jason was injured by a suicide vehicle car bomb whilst serving in Iraq in 2006. As a result of his injuries he was later diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and medically discharged in February 2014.
He said: “As a keen Liverpool FC fan I was more than happy to change into my football boots to take part in the coaching clinic at the LFC Academy, organised by Vauxhall Motors. It was an amazing day and put a big smile on an old man’s face.”
Vauxhall, Liverpool FC’s official UK car partner, has been a proud supporter of Help for Heroes since 2010. During this time Vauxhall Motors has raised over £300,000 through fundraising efforts of staff, retailers and customers.
Vauxhall Motors continues to be a loyal supporter of Help for Heroes and has raised over £200,000 for the charity.
