The new Fiat 500L, 40% all new from the previous market leader, now comes with better tech, and look.

  • Even more 500, even more convenient, even more technology: that sums up the new Fiat 500L
  • A unique combination of spaciousness and personality
  • 40% of all components are new
  • Not just a range, but three separate identities to cover all needs: Urban, Cross and Wagon
Having dominated its segment, across Europe, for five years, here comes the new Fiat 500L. The roomiest 500 of all is now even more full of technology and has even more character and personality. These characteristics combine in the three distinct versions of the car: Urban, Cross and Wagon, offered with a choice of petrol and diesel engines to delight different people and serve their individual needs.
All three share outstanding safety features and a flexible internal configuration, enabling customers to create up to 1,500 internal customisations. The 500 style is even more obvious in this updated version, on which 40% of all components are new. The Fiat 500L combines all the style and excitement of the Fiat 500 with the spaciousness and functionality of an MPV.
Design: Even more 500
The new Fiat 500L is designed to reinforce the family feeling of the model. The exterior style expresses all the distinctive elements which have characterised the model throughout its history, ever since its iconic 1950s forerunner. The most obvious visual links are the "moustache and badge" combo set on the trapezoidal nose, the upper headlights with chrome-plated elements and the lower cluster, now with LED daytime running lights, which pick up the graphics of the two "zeros" in 500. These elements ensure that this new car is clearly identifiable as a Fiat 500L, even in the dark.

The revised front bumper with signature trapezoidal trim and the chromed "studded" three-dimensional lower grille mesh give the car an elegant look. At the same time, the chromed strips, which direct the eye to the wheel arches, convey toughness, resulting in the new Fiat 500L looking even more expressive. The chromed inserts at the rear underline the 500 family feeling and horizontal trims reinforce the car's presence on the road. The fog and reversing lights are now in the underside of the bumper, increasing their effectiveness.
The new Fiat 500L is available in ten pastel or metallic colours and with three types of roof: body-coloured, glossy black or white or matt black, giving customers a choice of no less than 36 colour combinations. The colours available are the new Bellagio Blue, Sicilian Orange and Donatello Bronze, Bossa Nova White, Hip Hop Yellow, Darkwave Black, Minimal Grey, Heavy Metal Grey, Beatbox Green and Pasodoble Red.
A unique combination of spaciousness and personality
The interior of the new Fiat 500L is completely new, starting with an updated dashboard to give a more high-tech and iconic look. The passenger compartment offers comfort, convenience, versatility and is filled with light, while being rich in distinctive 500 touches, such as the bright "500" signature on the dashboard.

The area behind the restyled multifunctional steering wheel, now with added chrome accents, has an updated design with two circular instrument gauges on either side of a 3.5-inch colour graphic display. This combination of new steering wheel and dashboard improves the visibility of the instrument cluster, which is further enhanced by white backlighting. The driver also benefits from an innovative TFT colour digital display, with a full set of useful information.
The new Fiat 500L displays an innovative wraparound glazing concept to improve its now class-leading visibility and ease of parking, thanks to its glazed A-pillar. Available as a fixed panel or electrically opening, the 1.5m2 optional panoramic glass roof of Fiat 500L means that occupants can enjoy a light, bright passenger compartment.
While the top section of the dashboard conveys a fresh personality, the lower part focuses on convenience with new, larger storage compartments and the introduction of new comfort features, such as the central armrest. The gear lever has also been redesigned and placed higher up for greater driving comfort.
Internal space is top of its class, thanks to the passenger compartment's generous length. Boot volume with the rear seat in the forward position is 455 litres for the Urban and Cross models. The boot on the Wagon offers up to 493 litres when the two additional seats are folded. With the rear seats folded and tumbled, capacity rises to 1480 litres for Urban and Cross and 1509 litres for the Wagon.
Specification: Three identities: Cross, Urban and Wagon
The new Fiat 500L is available with three distinctive personalities: Urban, Cross and Wagon. The more adventurous character of the Fiat 500L is represented by the Cross version. The new Fiat 500L Cross has a one-of-a-kind crossover look with new bumpers and skid plate, new two-colour diamond-finish 17-inch alloy wheels and a bold grille to give it a sporty appearance. It has crossover substance, as well as looks, with ground clearance raised by 25mm, new Uconnect™ HD Live 7-inch touchscreen and the new Mode Selector; with a choice of Normal, Traction+ and Gravity Control.

Normal is the default function and provides a comfortable, safe ride in ordinary conditions. Traction+, which can be activated at speeds of less than 18mph, helps the car to start on slippery surfaces and provides optimal torque distribution across the front axle, braking the wheel with less grip on the ground and transferring torque to the one with more grip. Gravity Control keeps the speed constant when descending steep slopes, and can be enabled when the Traction+ function is active. The new Fiat 500L Cross is 4.28m long with a wheelbase of 2.61m. It is 1.80m wide and 1.68m high.
The metropolitan soul of the Fiat 500L finds expression in the Urban version, available in Pop Star and Lounge trim levels. In Pop Star trim, also available in the new Bellagio Blue colour, the new Fiat 500L Urban come complete with ABS, ESP, 6 airbags, air conditioning, cruise control, multifunction Techno-leather steering wheel, electrically adjustable & heated door mirrors, 3.5-inch colour TFT display, 5-inch Uconnect™ radio with Bluetooth, voice control, USB port and Aux-in, rear seat with 60/40 split, LED daytime running lights and 16-inch alloy wheels.
In the more luxurious Lounge trim, it features upgraded seat upholstery, a dashboard fascia finished with technical fabric, dual zone climate control, fixed glass roof, chromed inserts, fog lights, Uconnect™ HD Live 7-inch touchscreen with Bluetooth, voice control, DAB radio, 2 USB ports and Aux-in, rain and dusk sensors, rear parking sensors and Cargo Magic Space height-adjustable load platform. The Fiat 500L Urban measures 4.24m in length, has a wheelbase of 2.61m, is 1.78m wide and 1.66m high.
The Wagon, available in a seven seat configuration, is the ideal solution for combining spaciousness and versatility with the distinctive 500 style. Available in Pop Star or Lounge trim, the new Fiat 500L Wagon is the most compact seven-seater on the market at 4.38m long.
Customising the driving experience
Exclusive packs are available across the new Fiat 500L range to enhance the driving experience, comfort and safety. Every version can customise its style, connectivity, comfort and safety features by adding one of these great value packages; City, Comfort, Safety, Style and Style Plus packs.

Autonomous City Brake, available as part of the Safety Pack, consists of a laser sensor located on the top of the windscreen to monitor the position of the cars ahead. When travelling at less than 18mph, the system automatically brakes the new Fiat 500L if a potential collision is imminent.
Other key equipment include the child monitoring mirror to keep an eye on rear seat passengers, LED daylight running lights and parking lights, which in addition to being design features that reassert the 500 style, also ensure excellent visibility. As well as electrical adjustment and heating, the door mirrors can be upgraded to fold electrically and add puddle lights, to illuminate the area around the car when light is poor.
The passenger compartment lighting is also improved, with the Style Plus Pack providing with ambient light in the base of the central console, on the central tunnel and on the doors. The optional rear parking camera, included in the City Pack, has an improved resolution and active grid lines to assist parking.
Technology: More connected than ever
New advanced smartphone integration systems are debuting on the new Fiat 500L. Smartphone apps can be accessed directly on the 7-inch high-resolution touchscreen of the Uconnect™ HD Live system integrated in the dashboard. The system is also available with Apple Car Play and Android Auto™.

The next-generation Uconnect™ system features a hands-free Bluetooth interface, audio streaming, text reader and voice recognition, AUX-in and USB ports with iPod integration, controls on the steering wheel. A rear parking camera and the new TomTom 3D built-in navigation system are also optionally available. The Uconnect™ LIVE app offers music streaming with Deezer and TuneIn, news from Reuters and connected navigation with TomTom LIVE, as well as updating Facebook and Twitter. Users can also monitor their driving style with eco:Drive and my:Car.
The Fiat 500L is now available with the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™. Apple CarPlay perfectly integrates the iPhone with the display and native controls of the car so users can make calls, play their music, send and receive messages, get directions optimised for traffic conditions and much more, while staying focused on the road.
With Android Auto™ drivers can access Google Maps, with voice-guided navigation, real time traffic information and lane guidance and Google Play Music, among other music services. They can also make and receive calls and send messages while keeping their hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.
The Fiat 500L can be upgraded with the BeatsAudio™ system, which boasts a total power of 520Watt, divided between two 80Watt mid-Woofer speakers (diameter 165mm) positioned in the bottom part of the front door panel, two 40Watt tweeter speakers (diameter 38mm) positioned in the top of the front door panel, two 60Watt full-range speakers (diameter 165mm) positioned in the rear door panel and an 80 + 80Watt subwoofer (diameter 165mm) located in the boot – which ensures dynamic, powerful bass tones, maximising the listening experience. The package is completed by an amplifier with DSP and 8 channels, featuring a built-in advanced equalisation algorithm capable of reproducing the entire spectrum of sound that an artist experiences in the recording studio.
Engines and pricing
The engines most suited for the specific needs of customers were picked for the different identities of the model. The petrol engine line-up includes the 1.4-litre 16V, delivering 95hp, and the 1.4-litre 16V T-Jet, delivering 120hp. The offering is completed by two diesel engines: the 95hp 1,300cc 16V MultiJet, also available with Dualogic transmission, and the 120hp 1,600cc 16V MultiJet. All engines comply with the Euro 6 standards and combine optimal performance with impressive fuel economy.

UK SALES MARCH - Fiat and its evergreen range of cars continue to post gains, the best since 2004.

  • FIAT UK March sales the best monthly total since 2004
  • Market share grows from 2.42% to 2.54%
  • Sales driven by segment-leading FIAT 500 and the growing popularity of the FIAT 500X SUV
  • With all-new FIAT Tipo and FIAT 124 Spider due before the end of the summer, the prospects for FIAT UK look positive in 2016
FIAT UK has achieved its best monthly sales total in almost 12 years with 13,190 registrations in March 2016, an increase of 10.62% compared to March of last year.

Indeed, FIAT UK’s March registration figures are the strongest monthly figures it has posted since September 2004, when FIAT sold 13,668 vehicles. It’s also the brand’s best March since 2004, when the popularity of the FIAT Punto and FIAT Panda drove sales to 14,146 vehicles.

According to SMMT figures, sales for the iconic Italian brand have reached 18,665 for the first quarter of the year resulting in an increase in market share from 2.42% to 2.54% compared to its 2015 year-to-date figure and a further signal of the FIAT brand’s resurgent popularity.
Key to FIAT UK’s sales growth has been the arrival of the new FIAT 500 and increasing public awareness of the size, performance and capability of the FIAT 500X SUV.
The FIAT 500 was refreshed in the autumn of 2015 and is now regaining its stellar sales momentum as more buyers are won over by the benefits of its new infotainment technologies, increased personalisation options, improved refinement and subtly enhanced styling, not to mention the addition of the 1.3 MultiJet II diesel and Eco version of the popular 1.2-litre engine. With the sporty new FIAT 500S arriving in showrooms in the summer, the indications are positive that the FIAT 500 will grow in terms of popularity and success in 2016, further consolidating its position as the leader in its segment.
As the FIAT 500X range celebrates its first anniversary in the UK market, sales are now shifting into high gear as its distinctively Italian design and surprising on-road presence attract more and more customers into showrooms. The FIAT UK marketing team has also launched an innovative media plan featuring a new advertising campaign - tailored to the UK and developed hand in hand with FIAT HQ - which reinforces the size, versatility and fun-to-drive characteristics of the FIAT 500X. This plan, combined with a positive response to the 500X from the motoring media, has seen sales jump from just a handful a year ago to 2,863 in March 2016, making it the fourth best seller in the compact SUV segment.
With the FIAT 124 Spider roadster and FIAT Tipo range all set to arrive before the end of the summer, the prospects for the brand look increasingly positive as 2016 progresses.
Sebastiano Fedrigo, Country Manager FIAT UK, commented, “We were confident that 2016 would be a turning point for the FIAT brand in the UK and so far this is proving to be the case. The careful enhancements our designers and engineers made to the FIAT 500 were exactly in line with what our customers wanted and as the visibility of the FIAT 500X increases as more hit the streets, we’ve shifted our marketing focus to emphasis its true capability and versatility. It’s always a challenge to enter a new segment but momentum is building behind the 500X and we expect this success to grow, especially as the new FIAT 124 Spider and FIAT Tipo draw even more customers to our dealerships.”
The FIAT 500 range starts at £11,050 OTR while the FIAT 500X range is priced from £14,295 OTR. The three-model FIAT 500L line-up (500L, MPW and Trekking) starts from £13,665 OTR while the three-model Panda range (Panda, 4X4, Cross) is available from £9,510 OTR. The other models in the FIAT range include the FIAT Punto (£11,485 OTR), the FIAT Qubo (£12,695 OTR) and FIAT Doblo (£13,775 OTR).

Yet another new niche is filled by Mercedes, this time the GLE AMG 63 Coupe

With the new GLE 63 Coupé, Mercedes-AMG is in highly dynamic mood as it enters the 2015 automotive year. As another exciting interpretation of a four-door coupé, the commanding SUV meets the highest of standards in terms of performance, design and comfort. The powerful heart of the vehicle – the AMG 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine – beats even faster in the new Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 Coupé with the highly sporty S‑Model which is rated at 585 hp which will be the only version available in the UK.

The perfect prerequisites for a highly dynamic on-road driving experience come courtesy of the suspension, which has been systematically designed for a sporty performance. The high-performance SUV coupé comes with the AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension with active roll stabilisation ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM and the Sports Direct-Steer system. The 4MATIC all-wheel drive with rear-biased power distribution and the DYNAMIC SELECT transmission modes promise to deliver what distinguishes every AMG vehicle: driving performance.

Tobias Moers, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-AMG GmbH:

"We see great potential in this vehicle segment, which is new to Mercedes-AMG. The GLE 63 Coupé is the logical progression of our ambitious growth strategy – after all, in 1999 with the first high-performance SUV ML 55 AMG, we established a completely new segment. The new GLE 63 Coupé will inspire SUV fans focused on dynamics while at the same time representing a new interpretation of driving performance."

Sportiness of a coupé, strengths of an SUV

The new GLE 63 Coupé combines the sportiness of a coupé with the strengths of an SUV. High agility, distinctive engine sound and typical sports car acceleration are united with poise and assurance, tremendous pulling power and perfect traction.

The typical SUV raised seating position and effortlessly unhurried superiority on the road, paired with typical AMG longitudinal and transverse dynamics and direct response to driver commands, result in an intense driving feel. The wide choice of different worlds of experience is based, among other things, on the DYNAMIC SELECT transmission modes, which for the first time permit such a wide spread of driving dynamics.

The five transmission modes of “Slippery”, “Individual”, “Comfort”, “Sport” and “Sport Plus”, which the driver is able to select using a rotary control on the centre console, deliver fundamentally different driving dynamics. Be it the response of the engine, the shift strategy of the transmission, ESP® thresholds, power assistance for the steering or characteristics of the dampers: the system networks all the control systems, generating different sets of parameters for distinct driving experiences.

The AMG 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine: powerful or extra-powerful

In terms of drive system, the AMG 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine develops 585 hp and 760 Newton-metres in the S-Model which is the only version that will be available in the UK.  It boasts the higher output and torque courtesy of a higher maximum charge pressure.
The 8-cylinder powerplant, which is assembled according to the "one man, one engine" philosophy, delivers the familiar powerful performance: thus, the    GLE 63 Coupé accelerates from 0 to 62 mph in 4.2 seconds (S-Model), returns 23.7 mpg (NEDC (combined) and emits CO2: 279 g/km as well as compling  with the EU6 standards.

As customary for a typical AMG model, the sound from the new GLE 63 Coupé is unmistakable. Customers can further emphasise the distinctive engine sound from the sports exhaust system, because a Performance exhaust system is optionally available. Those who value a more noticeable sound can opt for an even more emotively appealing V8 engine sound – and can experience the dynamic performance even more intensely.

Power transmission: AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC

The power transmission, too, is made to measure. Depending on the mode selected for the variable dynamic handling control system DYNAMIC SELECT, the AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC impresses with its great agility and superior responsiveness. The transmission has a wide-ranging potential. It offers an impressively high shift speed and perfect transitions for a sportier driving style as well as smooth, barely perceptible gear changes for enjoyable cruising.

The M button allows the driver to emphasise the sporty character and to shift gear exclusively using the steering-wheel shift paddles. As the seven-speed automatic transmission now shifts independently neither on kick-down nor upon reaching the maximum engine speed limit, it is possible to savour the tremendous pulling power in all engine speed ranges.

Further specialities for the dynamically focused driver: the automatic double-declutching function when  shifting down and the short-term M mode, which combines the performance of manual gear changes with automatic up- and downshifts. This allows the driver to enjoy the vehicle's impressive performance to the full. If the driver has shifted up or down manually using the shift paddle, the transmission independently switches back to the automatic shift mode after a set period of time.

The seven-speed automatic transmission features a dual-turbine torsional damper with speed-sensitive centrifugal pendulum, which minimises vibrations while enhancing the passengers' perceived comfort.

4MATIC all-wheel drive with rear-biased power distribution

With 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive, Mercedes-AMG uses a specially designed transfer case: this exclusive solution distributes the drive power in a ratio of 40:60 between the front and rear axles, resulting in greater agility about the vertical axis of the vehicle. The pay-off for the driver: even greater driving pleasure during high-speed cornering.

The AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension with AIRMATIC package, consisting of air suspension, special damper struts, automatic level control and infinitely variable damping characteristics ADS Plus, is combined with active roll stabilisation ACTIVE CURVE SYSTEM. This standard-fit system employs active anti-roll bars on the front and rear axles to reduce the body's roll angle during cornering. The reduced roll angle and outstanding cornering properties make for enhanced transverse dynamics and driving pleasure. At the same time, the system provides increased driving stability and, therefore, safety, especially at higher speeds.

Roll stabilisation, damping and suspension adapt automatically to the prevailing driving situation, offering both optimum ride comfort and maximum stability. The damping system changes its area of emphasis depending on the preselected DYNAMIC SELECT mode. “Sport Plus” mode puts the emphasis on maximum possible transverse dynamics. Conversely, “Comfort” mode enables maximum ride comfort.

The fully load-bearing air suspension system is speed-sensitive, lowering the body at higher speeds in order to minimise drag while increasing driving stability. The current operating conditions are detected via the steering angle sensor, four level sensors, three body sensors, the driving speed as well as the positions of the brake pedal and accelerator. The control unit uses these signals for infinitely variable adjustment of the current damping force required for each individual wheel.

DYNAMIC SELECT changes the driving dynamics in no time at all

Perfect interplay between all systems makes for a superior experience in the cockpit – whatever the driving situation or road conditions. As an additional bonus, DYNAMIC SELECT modifies the driving dynamics in no time at all. The GLE 63 Coupé adapts its character at lightning speed, depending on which transmission mode is activated.

In “Comfort” mode, the control thresholds of the dynamic handling control systems ASR, ESP® with Dynamic Cornering Assist and the all-wheel drive control system 4ETS are configured for moderate, restrained dynamics. “Sport” and “Sport Plus” permit greater longitudinal and transverse dynamics for more intense driving pleasure.

In “Slippery transmission” mode, on the other hand, the focus is on optimum traction and maximum driving stability in adverse road conditions. “Individual” mode allows the driver to design their own personal set-up consisting of engine characteristics, shift strategy and damper settings.

AMG-specific Sports Direct-Steer system and AMG high-performance braking system

In combination with the AMG-specific Sports Direct-Steer system, compact Performance steering wheel, elastokinematics on the front axle and more robustly designed rear-axle stabiliser bar, the handling is outstanding in all operating conditions. The variable steering ratio makes for significantly improved agility, while high-speed driving safety is maintained. The variable power assistance is dependent on the vehicle speed and the DYNAMIC SELECT programme and adapts perfectly to the driving situation.

Extremely short stopping distances and high stability: these are the strengths of the AMG high-performance braking system with all-round ventilated and perforated brake discs of size 390 x 36 millimetres (front) and 345 x 26 (rear) and silver-painted brake callipers with AMG lettering.

Design: commanding, extroverted, proud and with "A-wing"

The Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 Coupé skilfully embodies the firmly established principles of Mercedes-Benz design: sensuousness and clarity. The top-of-the-range V8 model from Affalterbach manages in an emotively appealing way to bring the fascination of motor sport to everyday life with a powerful dominance. A very first glance reveals the new four-door coupé to be an extrovert, proudly standing on its large wheels.

The GLE 63 Coupé is the first SUV from Affalterbach to adopt the AMG design philosophy, familiar from many other high-performance vehicles, with the characteristic "A-wing" in the front apron. This makes the SUV coupé clearly recognisable as a member of the AMG model family. Viewed from the front, the model's sculptural design idiom is also defined by the bonnet with its two dynamic powerdomes and new radiator grille – as is typical of AMG, it features a twin louvre in silver chrome as well as a large, central Mercedes star.

The GLE 63 Coupé displays visual dominance with its "A-wing". This design feature in the form of the stylised "A", a hallmark of AMG, is three-dimensional and also serves as an air guide for the three air openings. The A-wing is painted in the colour of the vehicle, while the trim strip is in silver chrome. The new front view is especially characterised by the two lateral, large air inlets, while the above-positioned, black flics ensure an optimal flow of air onto the cooling modules. At the lower end of the front apron, a front splitter in the colour of the vehicle helps to reduce lift. The standard equipment package includes three-dimensionally formed LED headlamps.

Dominance is reinforced by lateral flared wheel arches

Flared wheel arches in black make for a systematic continuation of the visual dominance along the sides. Behind the wheel cutout, "V8 BITURBO" lettering points to the superior engine power of the GLE 63 Coupé. An even more distinctive look is optionally available from illuminated aluminium-look side running boards with anti-slip rubber studs. The extroverted look is enhanced by impressive AMG 10-spoke light-alloy wheels of size 53.3 cm (21-inch) with tyres of size 285/45 R 21 (front axle) and 325/40 R 21 (rear axle).

The rear end of the vehicle shows clear similarities with the design of the S-Class Coupé: with its narrow tail lights in three-dimensional look, above-positioned, broad chrome badge and prominently placed Mercedes star, the GLE 63 Coupé has a decidedly sporty look. Mercedes-AMG reinforces the visual dynamics with some specific design elements: the spoiler lip on the boot lid further improves the driving stability at high speeds, while the visual, lateral air outlets in the rear apron improve the cd value.

The AMG rear apron is given a dynamic look by diffuser fins and the integrated, chrome-plated twin tailpipe trims of the sports exhaust system. The shape of the silver chrome trim strip is reminiscent of the "A-wing" in the front apron. As a result of the new nomenclature, the prominent AMG lettering is placed to the left of the Mercedes star, with the model identification GLE 63 to the right.

Exterior differentiation: GLE 63 S Coupé even more impressive

The A-wing on the GLE 63 S Coupé is painted in high-gloss black. In combination with the silver-chrome trim strip and black flics, this makes for an even sportier look. AMG cross-spoke light-alloy wheels of size 55.9 cm (22‑inch), painted in titanium grey with a high-sheen finish, ensure that the S‑Model exudes an even more impressive air. Optimum traction of the light-alloy wheels is guaranteed by tyres of size 285/40 R 22 (front axle) and

325/35 R 22 (rear axle). The GLE 63 S Coupé is recognisable by its red-painted brake callipers; in addition, the GLE 63 model identification bears a special "S".

High-grade interior: exclusive design elements and appointments

Like the exterior design, the interior of the GLE 63 Coupé also boasts many exclusive design elements and appointments. High-grade materials, first-class precision and a luxurious quality feel produce a fascination potential typical of AMG. Trim elements in light longitudinal-grain aluminium provide clever highlights.

Thanks to their specific upholstery with greater contouring and higher side bolsters at the front, the sports seats offer excellent lateral support. Perforated nappa leather, special seat upholstery layout with topstitching and AMG badges make for an exclusive look and feel, which is further complemented by the 3-spoke Performance steering wheel: the steering-wheel rim, with flattened bottom section, in black nappa leather with perforated grip area, assists a sporty driving style. Silver aluminium shift paddles with "UP" and "DOWN" lettering and a precise pressure point act as an invitation to manual gear changing.

The instrument panel on the GLE 63 Coupé is in black ARTICO man-made leather. The partially integrated central display visualises the individual DYNAMIC SELECT transmission modes with animated graphics. The centre console accommodates the COMAND controller with optimally ergonomically positioned touchpad; on the right is the DYNAMIC SELECT rotary actuator for the various transmission modes. Located above is the M button for the manual transmission mode.

Instrument cluster in exciting AMG design

Two large round dials with silver chrome surrounds and the central 11.4 cm (4.4-inch) multifunction display provide the driver with comprehensive information. The typical AMG equipment package includes sporty dials in carbon-fibre look with 320 km/h speedometer scale and red pointers, as well as the main menu including RACETIMER, manual gear indicator and AMG start-up screen.

Optimal infotainment is guaranteed by the Audio 20 CD system with eight loudspeakers and the Remote Online communication module for the use of Mercedes connect me services in Europe (may vary from country to country).

S-Model even more exclusive also in the interior

The higher-powered Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S Coupé also offers genuine added benefits in the interior. For even more intense contact with the vehicle, the grip area of the Performance steering wheel is in DINAMICA microfibre. A sporty look also dominates the driver's field of vision: the instrument cluster has an even higher-class look with fine red scale graduations around the speedometer and rev counter and a grey decorative band.

The passengers are accommodated on high-grade exclusive nappa leather upholstery. AMG medallions in the head restraints lend the interior a special, luxurious note. Set against black interior appointments, the grey seat belts and grey contrasting topstitching produce yet further highlights.
