Revealed at the Geneva International Motor Show in March, the distinctive and affordable Summit Special Editions will be available in the UK from June priced from £10,995.

New Sandero Stepway and New Logan MCV Stepway
The SE Summit versions of the New Sandero Stepway and New Logan MCV Stepway stand out thanks to an exclusive new metallic colour, Nordic Grey. The Sandero Stepway Summit Special Edition is also available in Magma Orange. These new colours are complemented by 16-inch Dark Metal flex-wheels.
Inside the cabin, the Summit Special Editions boast unique upholstery; the seats are recognisable thanks to their Burnt Orange piping and top-stitching, plus the ‘Stepway’ logo embroidered into the fabric in the same colour. The same Burnt Orange detailing is throughout the cabin, including on the centre console cover and air vent surrounds.
SE Summit for the Stepway models are based on Lauréate trim, and add a rear parking camera and a front central armrest to the equipment list which already includes air conditioning, Media Nav Evolution multimedia system with satellite navigation, DAB Radio and Bluetooth connectivity, rear parking sensors, cruise control and speed limiter.
The Stepway SE Summit versions are priced from £10,995 for New Sandero Stepway £12,295 for New Logan MCV Stepway, representing an uplift of £800 compared to the equivalent LaurĂ©ate which includes the exclusive metallic paint and extra equipment.
The New Sandero Stepway range is available from £8,995 on-the-road and the New Logan MCV Stepway range is available from £11,495 on-the-road.
Duster
The Duster SE Summit, based on the top-of-the-range Duster Prestige, offers exclusive new Nordic Grey metallic paint and 16-inch diamond-cut black ‘Cyclades’ alloy wheels. The SE Summit also adds a body kit consisting of wheelarch guards and protective side mouldings, enhancing the rugged exterior of the Duster.
Inside, the seats feature Burnt Orange piping and top-stitching, with the name ‘Duster’ embroidered into the fabric. The air vent surrounds are highlighted in Burnt Orange, and the carpet mats are finished with matching top-stitching.
This is on top of the high amount of equipment that comes as standard on Prestige trim such as a rear parking camera, MediaNav touchscreen navigation with satellite navigation, DAB radio and SIRI ‘Eyes Free’ and electric front and rear windows as standard.
The Duster SE Summit is priced from £15,195 – £1,000 above the equivalent Prestige model which includes exclusive metallic paint and rugged new exterior protection.
Whilst the Summit Special Edition sits atop the New Duster line-up, the range starts from just £9,495 on-the-road

Dacia Duster Commercial 4x4 wins ‘Best 4x4 Car-derived Van’ for the second consecutive year

  • Dacia Duster Commercial 4x4 wins ‘Best 4x4 Car-derived Van’ for the second consecutive year
  • Robust commercial SUV praised for its grip, ruggedness and affordability
  • Priced from £10,095 (excl. VAT) – Duster is the most affordable new commercial SUV in the UK
The Dacia Duster Commercial 4x4 has been named ‘Best 4x4 Car-derived Van’ for the second consecutive year at the VansA2Z Awards 2017, held yesterday at Twickenham Stadium.
Based on the popular Dacia Duster compact SUV, and launched at the Commercial Vehicle Show 2015, the Duster Duster Commercial 4x4 was praised by judges for its off-road capability, driving style and value for money.
The Duster Commercial offers the perfect package for many tradesmen – based on the passenger car version of the vehicle yet with a 1,604-litre maximum load capacity and cost benefits thanks to its classification as an LCV.
Neil McIntee, Editor, VansA2Z.com, said: “Dacia has made an excellent return to the UK light commercial market and the 4x4 version of its Duster Commercial is so good we had to make it our 4x4 Car-derived Van of the Year for the second consecutive time. It feels well put together with on-road ride and handling that far exceed expectations, and is much more capable off-road than it appears on paper; all at a very appealing price point.”
Louise O’Sullivan, Head of Dacia UK said: “We’re very proud to see the Duster Commercial 4x4 adding another trophy to its collection. The Duster Commercial 4x4 applies the Dacia philosophy to LCVs – providing a no-nonsense solution to businesses looking for an affordable and reliable vehicle that’s also capable of heading off-road when needed.”
The Dacia Duster Commercial 4x4 has a flat load area in lieu of rear seats and a payload of 550kg. Available in two different trim levels – Ambiance and LaurĂ©ate – the Duster Commercial 4x4 receives Bluetooth connectivity, electric front windows and a heated rear screen even on entry-level versions. The LaurĂ©ate version adds features such as cruise control, leather steering wheel, alloy wheels, air conditioning and electric heated door mirrors.
The Duster Commercial is offered with one business-oriented diesel engine – the dCi 110 unit, the best-selling Groupe Renault diesel powertrain, either as a 4x2 or a robust, go-anywhere 4x4. The 4x2 dCi 110 returns up to 64.2mpg (NEDC Combined), with CO2 emissions as low as 115 g/km and is available from £10,095 (excluding VAT) for the Ambiance entry-level trim.
Meanwhile, the 4x4 dCi 110 returns up to 60.1mpg (NEDC Combined), with CO2 emissions as low as 123 g/km and is available from £11,795 (excluding VAT) for the Ambiance trim.
Dacia offers a comprehensive selection of low-priced option packs to help owners secure payloads and protect their vehicle during a life of hard work.
There is a choice of steel or mesh bulkheads between the passenger and cargo areas; privacy film for the tailgate window and mudguards.
The VansA2Z Awards are decided by the expert editorial team at the independent commercial vehicle website VansA2Z.com. VansA2Z provides essential information for anyone looking to buy and kit-out a light commercial vehicle.
The VansA2Z Awards seek to reward the best products, companies and services in the industry for their ability to make life easier, cleaner, safer and more efficient for light commercial vehicle operators in the UK.

Dacia to sponsor UKTV Channel DAVE, for one year, keeping it simple on prime time TV.

  • Dacia sponsors peak time programming on ‘the home of witty banter’, Dave
  • Eight different idents will be aired on weekdays between 9pm and 11:40pm
  • In keeping with Dacia’s straight-talking image, the idents mock traditional advertising clichĂ©s
  • Prime Time weekday sponsorship with slogan ‘Keeping it simple with Prime Time on Dave’ runs for one year
Dacia UK has partnered with UKTV channel Dave as its Prime Time programming sponsor. The one year sponsorship will feature across the channel’s best loved shows including: QI, Mock the Week, Dave Gorman: Modern Life is Goodish and Red Dwarf.
Dave is known as the ‘home of witty banter’ and this brand new sponsorship allows Dacia to tap into the channel’s core audience of young males.
The partnership showcases over eight different bespoke idents each featuring the Dacia Duster and the slogan: ‘Keeping it simple with Prime Time on Dave’. From a fake family to a fibreglass rhino, the 10 second adverts mock the traditional automotive advertising clichĂ©s, keeping true to the straight-talking tone of voice that differentiates Dacia within the car industry.
James Boyer, Marketing Director, Groupe Renault UK said: “Dacia provides an alternative proposition for British car buyers – it’s straight-talking, anti-frivolous and easy to understand which has been key to delivering its unique position in the market. In that sense, Dave and Dacia draw many parallels so the sponsorship was an immediate choice for Dacia to be able speak to its core audience. Dave gives us a great opportunity to establish our tone of voice and what the brand stands for.”
Rupinder Downie, Partnership Controller, Channel 4 comments: “UKTV offers an incredible portfolio of opportunities to sponsors. We’re delighted to be working with Dacia to provide them with year round presence across Prime Time on Dave, a highly sought after programming strand.”
Dacia has proven very popular with owners and critics alike since launching just over three years ago.  What Car? magazine have rated the Sandero ‘Best Small Car under £12,000’ for four consecutive years.
One of the UK’s largest automotive owner satisfaction studies, Auto Express Driver Power, has placed Dacia in its top five best manufacturers for three consecutive years, out of 32 brands featured in the 2016 survey, with customers praising the brand’s reliability in particular.
In the separate 2016 Auto Express Driver Power Dealer Aftersales Satisfaction survey customers rated Dacia as second overall in the industry for dealer service – ahead of all premium and luxury brands.
Dacia was ranked fourth out of 34 brands for customer satisfaction, with a 90 per cent satisfaction score, in the 2016 Which? Car survey.
The Dacia range comprises the Sandero five-door hatchback, available in three trim levels with a choice of two petrol engines and one diesel engine. Pricing starts from £5,995, making it the most affordable new car on sale in the UK today. The Sandero Stepway is the UK’s most affordable crossover – priced from £8,495.  It combines hatchback practicality with SUV looks and is available in two trim levels with a choice of a petrol or diesel engine.
The versatile Dacia Logan MCV offers a huge amount of space yet is the UK’s most affordable estate car, priced from £6,995 OTR.  The multiple award-winning Duster is the most affordable SUV on the UK market today – priced from £9,495. Duster is available in a choice of three trim levels, with 1.6-litre petrol or 1.5-litre dCi diesel engines and in 4x2 or 4x4 set-ups.
Over 90,000 Dacia models have been sold in the UK since its launch in January 2013. More than four million Dacias have been sold since Groupe Renault reintroduced the brand in Europe in 2004.

  • Dacia announces UK pricing and specification for New Sandero, Sandero Stepway and Logan MCV
  • New models feature upgrades to interior, exterior and equipment
  • Air conditioning now standard on Ambiance versions and above
  • Multimedia satellite-navigation & rear parking sensors now standard on LaurĂ©ate versions

  • DAB radio now available across entire Dacia model line-up & standard from Ambiance versions
  • New lighting signature introduces LED daytime running lights to the Dacia range for the first time
  • Average Residual Values increase by up to nearly six per cent due to revised specification & styling
  • New Sandero priced from £5,995, New Sandero Stepway from £8,795 & New Logan MCV from £6,995
Dacia has announced UK pricing and specification for its updated vehicle range, which was unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in September.
Available to order now, New Sandero is priced from £5,995, New Sandero Stepway from £8,795 and New Logan MCV from £6,995. Even after all these upgrades, the New Sandero and New Logan MCV remain the most affordable new car and new estate car, respectively, available in the UK.
Efficiency gains of up to 10 per cent from new SCe 75 1.0-litre
The updates encompass changes to the interior, exterior and equipment levels, while these also see the introduction of a new SCe 75 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine for the New Sandero and New Logan MCV.

This engine produces the same power as the outgoing 1.2-litre 16V 75, yet is up to 10 per cent more efficient. The well-proven TCe 90 petrol and dCi 90 diesel engines continue to be available across the revised range.
Offering customers more comfort, convenience and driving enjoyment, the enhancements ensure the Dacia range presents an even more tempting proposition to car buyers and are certain to build on the brand’s multi-award winning status. Since its launch in the UK in 2013, Dacia’s numerous awards include What Car?’s ‘Best Small Car under £12,000’ for four consecutive years for the Sandero and the brand has also been in the top five, out of 35 manufacturers, in the Auto Express Driver Power customer satisfaction survey for three consecutive years.  Dacia was named one of the ‘Most satisfying car brands of 2016’ by Which?, finishing third out of all manufacturers – just behind Tesla and Porsche.
Additionally, the upgrades and more focused UK equipment levels, which have been finely honed following UK customer feedback, have contributed to New Sandero, New Sandero Stepway and New Logan MCV benefiting from significantly increased residual values. In the November 2016 edition of the CAP Gold Book, the latest versions offer average RV improvements of as much as 5.8 per cent and nearly £600 after the first year on New Sandero.
Distinctive new front end design showcases Dacia’s new lighting signature
Of the comprehensive changes the most obvious is a brand new front end design that showcases Dacia’s new lighting signature. All three models receive new double optic front headlights, as on the Duster, and there are also LED Daytime Running Lights as standard across the range – a first for Dacia – which feature a pattern of four stacked rectangles. A brand new grille with a honeycomb design – edged in chrome on the Sandero Stepway and with a chrome centre line on the Sandero and Logan MCV – together with a sharper, more chiselled bumper that has more prominent fog lights complete the more dynamic, contemporary look.
The purposeful new style continues at the back. The rear lighting signature is based on four illuminated squares in the Sandero and Sandero Stepway, while the bumper designs have been reworked to emphasise the cars’ stance. The Sandero Stepway also benefits from a chromed exhaust tailpipe that highlights its tough, ready-for-action character.
Completing the exterior are fresh wheel designs for all three models. The available paint shades have also been extended to include the new Mink colour and the Chestnut colour that was previously unique to the Ambiance Prime trim level.
Contemporary interiors with a quality feel
The interior upgrades include a more elegant and more contemporary satin-effect chrome finish for the air vent surrounds, trim strip and centre console fascia, while a new four-spoke steering wheel design has the horn push in the centre, moving it from its previous position on the indicator stalk. The new steering wheel also offers improved integration of the cruise control and speed limiter buttons for LaurĂ©ate versions, an exclusive Soft Feel finish for high-end trim levels and, on the Sandero Stepway, a ‘Stepway’ logo on the chrome surround.
Additionally, the New Sandero Stepway boasts interior door releases that are now chrome plated and upholstery that features a 3D weave for a greater sensation of depth, enhanced by top-stitching. There are new upholstery fabrics, textures and patterns for the New Sandero and New Logan MCV too, which convey a fresher feel and a greater impression of comfort and quality.
For more convenience and in line with customer comments, the front electric window switches have been moved from the centre console to a panel by the door handles. There is the addition of a 12-volt power socket, which allows rear passengers to charge mobile devices, and numerous stowage spaces, including a front mobile phone cubby hole and a tray on the side of the console to accommodate small items. The new centre console design incorporates a bottle holder at the rear.
Equipment upgrades include Air Conditioning standard from Ambiance trim
Standard equipment has been strengthened with the additions of DAB radio on all three models (except for Access trim) – meaning that every Dacia model now benefits from DAB radio.  Air conditioning is now standard on Ambiance versions and above – meaning the Sandero Ambiance is the most affordable car with this feature as standard on sale in the UK.
Top-of-the-range Lauréate versions now include the MediaNav navigation system, incorporating a 7-inch touchscreen, AUX input, radio and USB and Bluetooth connectivity, and rear parking sensors as standard. Manoeuvring is further simplified with the availability of a reversing camera and Hill Start Assist.
The New Sandero, New Sandero Stepway and New Logan MCV continue to be available in a choice of trim levels that will be familiar to many existing Dacia owners. Sandero and Logan MCV can be ordered in Access, Ambiance and Lauréate specification, while the Sandero Stepway is available in Ambiance or Lauréate trim.
Specification by trim level – New Sandero & New Logan MCV
Accessversions provide such standard features as black cloth upholstery, LED daytime running lights, double optic headlights with chrome surrounds, tinted windows, ESC (Electronic Stability Control) with ASR (Traction control) and Hill Start Assist (HSA), Anti-lock braking system (ABS) and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), driver’s airbag, passenger airbag with deactivation function, front side airbags, ISOFIX points for child seats in both outer rear seats, 15-inch Tarkine wheel trims and 60/40 split folding rear seat.
On the New Sandero and New Logan MCV, Ambiance adds equipment that includes manual air conditioning, electric front windows (with driver’s one touch), AUX and USB input, DAB/FM/AM radio with fingertip controls and two front and two rear speakers, Bluetooth, remote central locking, ECO mode (TCe 90 and dCi 90 versions only), Stop and Start (TCe 90 and dCi 90 versions only), anti-intruder automatic door-locking system and Satin Chrome central console surround and instrument dial surrounds.  A new option for 2017 on the Ambiance trim is a Height Adjustment Pack (£50) that includes driver’s seat, steering wheel and front seatbelt height adjustment.
Over Ambiance, LaurĂ©ateincludes some new features for 2017 – MediaNav Evolution 7-inch touchscreen multimedia system including satellite navigation and rear parking sensors.  This is in addition to cruise control, speed limiter, front fog lights, heated and electrically-adjustable door mirrors, height-adjustable driver's seat and steering wheel, leather gearknob and a seven-function on-board computer. Sandero versions receive Dark Carbon Indite cloth upholstery and the Logan MCV Black Indite cloth upholstery.
Specification – New Sandero Stepway
All New Sandero Stepway models boast a generous standard specification, which incorporates 16" ‘Stepway’ alloy-look wheels, 40mm raised ride height in comparison to the Sandero, Metal Grey roof bars, skid plates in Satin Chrome, tinted windows and Dark carbon ‘Stepway’ cloth.
New Sandero Stepway is available in Ambiance and LaurĂ©ate versions.  Compared to New Sandero and New Logan MCV, New Sandero Stepway also adds 16-inch wheels, front fog lights and the Height Adjustment Pack to Ambiance.  New Sandero Stepway adds electric rear windows and soft feel steering wheel to LaurĂ©ate.
Duster EDC: the most affordable automatic crossover in the UK
The New Sandero, New Sandero Stepway and New Logan MCV sit alongside the acclaimed Duster SUV, which was recently enhanced with the availability of the automatic six-speed EDC (Efficient Dual Clutch) transmission. The most affordable automatic crossover in the UK, the Duster EDC combines the comfort and smoothness of a dual-clutch automatic gearbox with fuel economy and low CO2 emissions that are similar to those of a manual gearbox.
Available on LaurĂ©ate and flagship Prestige 4x2 Duster variants, the automatic EDC gearbox is mated to the popular 1.5 dCi 110 turbodiesel engine. Perfectly complementing each other, the pairing returns fuel economy of 62.8mpg (NEDC Combined) and CO2 emissions of 116g/km.
Since relaunching to continental Europe in 2004, more than four million Dacias have been sold globally. In the UK, over 90,000 Dacia models have been sold since its launch in the country in January 2013.
