Infiniti to debut two new cars and one heavily upgraded one at this years Geneva Motor Show.

• Infiniti continues to refresh and grow its product line-up
• Q60 and QX30 have been ‘designed to perform’, inspired by daring concepts

With the European debut of the Q60 sports coupe and the QX30 premium active crossover, Infiniti presents two all-new expressive models at the Geneva Motor Show on 1 March, 2016. Joining them will be the further upgraded Q50. All three share Infiniti’s iconic design language, innovative technologies and precise driving characteristics.

All-new are the Q60 sports coupe, promising a powerful drive from a highly-advanced new V6 twin-turbo engine boasting 405 PS, and the QX30 premium active crossover, with its highly-sculpted concept-like exterior, elevated stance and asymmetric cabin design. They will be joined by the refreshed Q50 sports saloon, which features significant performance and dynamic upgrades that deliver a more empowering and rewarding drive experience.

The bold exterior of the Q60 exemplifies Infiniti’s ‘Powerful Elegance’ design language, with distinctive proportions and taut, muscular lines. Innovative drivetrain technologies and power channelled through the rear wheels deliver an exhilarating drive.

The high performance 3.0-litre V6 twin-turbo engine from the new and exclusive ‘VR’ powertrain family continues the brand’s longstanding heritage of advanced six-cylinder powertrains production. The Q60 to be shown in Geneva features the higher-powered 405 PS V6 engine, providing one of the best power-to-efficiency ratings in the sports coupe class.

Created for a new generation of premium buyers, the all-new QX30 boasts a purposeful, elevated appearance that makes a bold visual statement, joining the Q30 as part of Infiniti’s new premium compact model line-up. Remaining true to the ‘Powerful Elegance’ design approach that guided the original QX30 concept, the car demonstrates Infiniti’s design-led approach to product development.

Alongside the Q60 and QX30, Infiniti will also reveal an upgraded version of the Q50 sports saloon, which has played a key role in the brand’s sustained global growth in recent years. 

As well as the powerful all-new V6 engine found in the Q60 sports coupe, making its debut in the Q50 is the company’s second-generation Direct Adaptive Steering – comprehensively updated from the ground-breaking first-generation system, and Infiniti’s new Dynamic Digital Suspension, which gives the new sports saloon an optimal blend of ride comfort and class-leading response and agility.

The launch of these new and upgraded models in Europe comes at a time of rapid growth for Infiniti, and in the midst of an intense global product launch period. Infiniti globally sold a record 215,250 new vehicles in 2015, representing a year-on-year rise of 16%. In Western Europe, 7,000 customers bought a new Infiniti last year, an increase of 45% over 2014.

Infiniti to WOW the crowds at Goodwood with never seen before concepts and a look at all future designs !

Infiniti’s design studio is temporarily moving to Sussex for this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed (26-29 June), offering visitors to the popular event an exclusive glimpse of its future line-up.

Infiniti designers’ latest concept models – two of them never seen in the UK before and all of them previewing cars confirmed to enter production – will take centre stage on the Infiniti display.

It will be the first time that the trio of award-winning concepts are being displayed together, providing a unique preview of new key models in the fast-expanding Infiniti range and a close-up look at the brand’s new design direction. Fittingly the display is entitled: ‘Infiniti Shapes The Future’.

The opportunity to show our three newest concepts all together for the first time to such an influential audience is an opportunity not to be missed.”

Q60 Concept previews an elegant new sporting 2+2 coupe. Q80 Inspiration, being shown at Goodwood in a special display version of the concept, shows Infiniti’s future design language in the form of a super-luxury four-door fastback. 

And the QX30 Concept offers a foretaste of how its production version will look when it comes out of the Sunderland production plant next year. The concept, a bold new active crossover with the sleek appeal of a coupe is designed for a new generation of individualistic premium customers. 

It was highly acclaimed at its debut at the Geneva Motor Show this year and will be making its UK debut at Goodwood. The QX30 active crossover will be launched shortly after Infiniti’s first ever entry into the compact segment, the Q30 active compact, which will also be built at the Sunderland plant and go on sale in Europe at the end of this year.

Infiniti’s Festival of Speed stand, located near the Supercar Paddock at ‘the world’s largest motoring garden party’, will also showcase Infiniti designers’ racing dreams with a scale model of the Infiniti GT Vision Gran Turismo, a ‘virtual’ racer designed for the Gran Turismo®6 (GT6™) game.

It’s not just for looking at either – visitors will be invited to take the controls themselves for a run up the Goodwood hill on one of the PlayStation™ pods freely available, with prizes for fastest times.

And if visitors prefer the real thing, the brand’s motor racing reality will take pride of place on the stand in the form of an Infiniti Red Bull Racing Formula 1 car.

Infiniti, currently seeing record sales increases in the UK, will be welcoming visitors to the ‘Infiniti Shapes The Future’ stand on each of the four days of the Festival of Speed.
