New FIAT Professional Talento is now on sale in the UK alongside new Fiorino and new Fullback pickup truck

  • New FIAT Professional Talento is now on sale in the UK alongside new Fiorino and new Fullback pickup truck
  • With purposeful and dynamic FIAT Professional family styling, new Talento is named after an ancient coin, evoking value and dependability
  • Powerful and efficient turbo and twin-turbo diesel engines with outputs from 95hp to 145hp and up to 47.9 mpg
  • Broad range of body styles includes standard- and high-roof vans, people carriers and crew vans with two wheelbase options, as well as a LWB platform cab
  • New FIAT Professional Talento is priced from £19,795 excluding VAT and OTR charges
  • Talento is a key vehicle in the development of FIAT Professional as a full-line range of vehicles designed specifically to meet the needs of the full spectrum of professional users
Equally at home in the city as it is criss-crossing the country on the open road, the all-new FIAT Professional Talento will be the perfect van for many businesses who demand the best of all worlds.

Compact exterior dimensions with impressive interior volume of up to 8.6m³ and a payload of up to 1,249kg; ample load-pulling performance combined with outstanding fuel efficiency (47.9mpg / 5.9L/100km on the official combined cycle) and packed with features designed to improve the comfort, safety and productivity of the most precious cargo of all – the occupants.

From a design standpoint, the new Talento is compact and well-proportioned: the forward- stretching windscreen connects elegantly to the short bonnet and the overall effect is one of an imposing and dynamic front end.
The grille is designed to wrap around the headlights and form a mask that together with the bumper and the grid conveys a solid and striking appearance, while offering a functional element of protection at the same time.
The squared-off rear end allows for ample inner space and a high load capacity while giving the Talento a broad stance that exudes stability and strength. As a whole, the design is upright with bold, clear-cut lines in tune with the new family feeling of the FIAT Professional range.
In all, there are nine body styles to choose from – the standard- and high-roof vans in short- and long-wheelbase versions, short- and long-wheelbase people carriers and crew vans and a long-wheel base platform cab.
Innovative features include the “CargoPlus” storage area under the passenger seats which allows professionals to carry objects up to 3.75m in length (4.15 for LWB versions) by sliding them into a special bulkhead opening. Rear doors can open up to a wide angle of 255° allowing easy access and usage of the loading bay while the sliding side door has an aperture of 1,030 mm and a load edge just 100mm above the ground.
The load volume equals 5.2m³ in short wheelbase models, 6m³ in long wheelbase versions and a generous 8.6m³ in the long wheelbase high-roof derivative.
This means that the Talento, even in the short wheelbase trim level, is capable of carrying three Euro pallets and, depending on the version, a payload of up to 1,249 kg with a GVW of up to 3,060kg.
The new FIAT Professional Talento is equipped with reliable, powerful and efficient 1.6-litre turbo and twin-turbo diesel engines, all equipped with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard.
Employing Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology, a system which reduces nitrogen oxide emissions by injecting a solution of non-toxic, non-flammable AdBlue® into the exhaust gas.
The entry-level engine is the 95hp 1.6-litre turbo-diesel which is ideally suited to city driving thanks to its high torque output of 260Nm and its excellent official combined cycle fuel efficiency figure of 43.5mpg and low CO2emissions of just 170g/km.
In EcoJet specification with Start&Stop, this engine can return an outstanding 46.3mpg on the official combined cycle and CO2 emissions are reduced to 160g/km.
The 1.6-litre MultiJet 120hp offers an impressive mix of performance, value-for-money and efficiency, thanks to its 300Nm of torque, official combined cycle fuel efficiency figure of 43.5 mpg and emissions of just 170g/km.
The 1.6-litre Twin Turbo Ecojet diesel engines employ sophisticated turbo-charging technology to boost both performance and efficiency, resulting in outputs of 125hp and 320Nm of torque and 145hp and 340Nm for the top engine version.
The first turbo provides high torque at low speed to ensure excellent engine responsiveness at low-to-medium revs, whereas the second turbo is activated at higher engine speeds to maintain linear performance across the rev range.
As a result, there is no efficiency compromises despite the high power and torque outputs – indeed, the 125hp version is actually the most efficient in the range returning 47.9 mpg on the official fuel efficiency combined cycle with emissions of just 155g/km, while the high-performance 145hp engine matches the economy and emissions outputs of the EcoJet 95hp engine: 46.3mpg and 160g/km.
Inside, the FIAT Professional Talento has been designed to be easy and pleasurable to use for long periods of time, with ergonomically shaped and comfortable seats, a perfectly positioned steering wheel and controls which make every day driving more relaxing and safe.
Examples of this attention to detail include the 90 litres of in-cabin storage space in a variety of shapes and sizes (including compartments hidden under the seat base and behind the seat back of the passenger seats), an additional blind spot-mitigating ViewPlus interior mirror, the innovative fold-down central seat with detachable clipboard holder and the available smartphone/tablet holder.
In terms of safety, all versions are fitted with LED daytime running lights, ABS with EBD (electronic brake distribution) and EBA (emergency brake assistance) in addition to a sophisticated ESC system with Hill Holder and Traction+ as standard.
Available safety features include side airbags and window-bags a Trailer Stability Assist (TSA) system which guarantees total stability when towing by automatically modulating engine power and braking force applied to each wheel to stabilise both the vehicle and a wayward trailer.
A front parking assist system and a reversing camera (with a display in the rear-view mirror) are also available.
Standard equipment on the entry level FIAT Professional Talento includes remote central locking, electric front windows (one-touch lowering on the driver’s side), electrically operated and heated door mirrors, a full bulkhead, a height adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support and an arm rest, dual passenger seat, a powerful audio system with Bluetooth, DAB, USB, Aux-in, a full-size spare wheel and steering-wheel remote controls.
The entry-level Combi Active adds a rear tailgate with window wiper and de-mister, luggage cover, passenger airbag, and folding/removable rear seats.
Key options (all prices excluding VAT) include air conditioning (£720), automatic lights and wipers (£110), front fog lamps (£110), bulkhead window (£60), “Mobile Office” (folding passenger sear, clipboard holder and under-seat storage £170), a leather-trimmed steering (£70), reversing camera with interior mirror monitor (£280), cruise control with speed limiter (£170), rear parking sensors (£220), ViewPlus wide-view mirror (£60) glazed rear doors (£170), plylining with a resin-coated plywood floor (£170), seven-inch touchscreen multimedia system with satellite navigation (£400), tow bar with pre-wiring and Trailer Sway Mitigation (£310 – excluding installation) and the cargo plus trapdoor (£30).
The SX version adds air conditioning, Mobile Office, ViewPlus, rear parking sensors, upgraded “Living Brown” interior trim and enhanced exterior detailing, while the SX Combi adds 17-inch alloy wheels, front fog lamps, automatic lights and wipers, a leather steering wheel, cruise control with speed limiter, the upgraded audio system with satnav and enhanced exterior and interior detailing. SX versions of the Talento van and crew van are priced at £1,000 more than the standard model, while the Combi SX is £2,000 more than the Active trim level.
As result of its broad range of body styles; its efficient and power engines; its clever and comfortable cabin and its low running costs, FIAT Professional Talento is a functional vehicle that helps customers maximise the value of their work, time and investment.
Positioned between the Doblò Cargo and Ducato in the line-up, the full-line FIAT Professional range is now even capable of providing just the right vehicle for just about each and every customer's specific needs.
FIAT Professional's new Talento is now on sale with prices, excluding VAT and OTR charges, starting at £19,795 for the 1.6-litre MultiJet 95hp SWB standard roof van.
The 1.6-litre MultiJet 120hp SWB is priced at £20,195 while the twin-turbo 1.6-litre EcoJet 125hp S&S is priced at £20,645. The range topping twin-turbo 1.6-litre EcoJet 145hp S&S is priced from £21,245.
The long-wheelbase FIAT Professional Talento is priced from £21,395 (1.6 MultiJet 120hp), the crew van starts at £21,145 (1.6 MultiJet 95hp), the platform cab is available from £21,545 (1.6 EcoJet 125hp S&S) and the Combi is priced from £21,885 (1.6 MultiJet 95hp).

The Sixth Generation Ducato gets a new look, better engines and becomes the commercial vehicle to beat.

  • Sixth generation FIAT Professional Ducato and fourth generation FIAT Professional Doblò now be available with Euro 6 engines
  • FIAT Professional Ducato Euro 6 diesel engine range uses two technologies: Low Pressure Exhaust Gas Recirculation (LPEGR) and Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR)
  • LPEGR avoids the need for NOx-reducing additives by channelling exhaust gasses away after the DPF, cooling them in a low-pressure EGR cooler and recirculating them ahead of the turbo charger
  • SCR is currently fitted to people carrier versions and uses AdBlue to convert NOx to non-harmful gases
  • New entry-level 2.0-litre MultiJet II 115hp LPEGR engine offers improved efficiency and performance joins the current 2.3 MultiJet 11 130hp and 150hp engines – both with LPEGR
  • New 180hp 2.3 MultiJet II tops the FIAT Professional Ducato engine range - a significant downsize in capacity, if not performance, compared to outgoing 3.0-litre version
  • FIAT Professional Doblò range benefits from a new top-of-the-range 1.6-litre MultiJet II 120hp
  • EcoJet versions of the FIAT Professional Doblò help improve fuel efficiency by 12 percent on the 1.3-litre MultiJet II and 15 percent on the 1.6-litre MultiJet II
The sixth generation of the hugely successful FIAT Professional Ducato, which has notched up 2.9 million sales over six generations since it was first launched in 1981, continues to set the segment benchmark not only in Europe but also in the 80 international regions in which it is on sale.

It also sets the standard for motorhome base vehicles, accounting for 75 percent of motorhomes sold in Europe with more than 600,000 on the road to date.

To retain its leading role in the segment, the FIAT Professional Ducato was completely restyled in 2014 to accommodate the new requirements of customers, offering more technology, more efficiency and more value, as well as improvements in performance, active and passive safety, infotainment, durability, robustness and running costs.
For 2016 the FIAT Professional Ducato improves even further thanks to the introduction of  a comprehensive range of class-leading Euro 6 engines, exclusively employing Low Pressure Exhaust Gas Recirculation system (LPEGR) to lower NOx emissions without the complexity, added weight and additional costs associated with using emission additives.
LPEGR functions by channelling exhaust gasses away after the DPF, cooling  them through a low-pressure EGR cooler and then recirculating them in advance of the turbo charger. LPEGR solution ideal for goods transport and campers where simplicity, reduced weight and low running costs are of paramount importance.
The FIAT Professional Ducato also benefits from the addition of a new 2.0-litre 115hp MultiJet II LPEGR engine to replace the current Euro 5 2.3-litre MultiJet 110hp. Offering up to 47.9mpg on the official combined cycle and CO2 emissions of just 157g/km, this new entry-level engine represents a significant downsizing compared to the engine it replaces but employs FIAT Professional’s latest technologies to offer improved efficiency and lower running costs while improving performance and refinement. Similarly, the top-of-the-range 3.0-litre 180hp has also been replaced by a new 180hp 2.3-litre MultiJet II Power LPEGR, resulting it a considerable improvement in fuel efficiency and emissions (46.3mpg on the official combined cycle and 160g/km), while the core 2.3-litre MultiJet 130hp and 150hp engines also adopt FIAT Professional’s exclusive LPEGR technology to ensure all FIAT Professional Ducato customers benefit from the brand’s latest technological advances.
Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) is currently offered on people carrier versions and uses AdBlue fluid to convert nitrogen oxides (NOx) to non-harmful gases. The AdBlue filler is placed close to diesel cap behind the same fuel flap to make refilling the 151-litre tank as simple and straightforward as possible. Consumption of emission-reducing additives (UREA) can vary according to how the vehicle is used and is indicated on the instrument panel.
The fourth-generation FIAT Professional Doblò builds on the class-leading characteristics that have helped it win International Van of the Year in 2006 and 2011, and achieve critical and commercial success in markets all over the world, by offering a full range of Euro 6 compliant engines -  including second-generation turbo diesel engines: a 1.3-litre MultiJet II 95hp and a 1.6-litre MultiJet II 105hp, both of which are available in new "EcoJet" versions to offer an improvement in fuel efficiency (12 percent and 15 percent respectively) and emissions levels thanks to the use of Start&Stop; low rolling-resistance tyres; low-viscosity oil; an 'intelligent' alternator; a variable-displacement oil pump and a new aerodynamic pack. All this makes it possible to achieve a fuel economy figure of up to 61.4mpg and CO2 emissions of just 120 g/km. Replacing the current 2.0-litre engine at the top of the range, a new 1.6-litre MultiJet II 120hp is now the flagship engine of the FIAT Professional Doblò line up, offering similar performance to the engine it replaces but capable of 55.4mpg (official combined cycle fuel economy figure) and CO2 emissions of just 135g/km.
With excellent dynamics, comfort and best-in-class load and volume capacities, the new FIAT Doblò Cargo is available in four body-styles; two roof height options and two wheelbase lengths. It is now sold in more than 80 countries, including North America where it retails as the RAM Promaster City.
The FIAT Professional Ducato Euro 6, with ground breaking LPEGR, is available to order now priced from £21,445* while the Doblò EU6 is priced from £13,545* (*prices exclude VAT and OTR charges).
