Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

Special edition Mazda2 Sport Black to be in UK dealerships Now, a great car with a great kit package.

  • All-new Mazda2 Sport Black offers sporty styling enhancements and extra equipment.
  • Available in two free-of-charge paint colours – Soul Red Metallic and Snowflake White Pearlescent.
  • Powered by 1.5-litre normally-aspirated 90ps SKYACTIV-G petrol engine.
  • £15,395 on-the-road (OTR) with attractive 0% APR* Mazda Personal Contract Purchase (PCP).
  • Optional exterior graphics and contrasting colour door mirrors allow for new levels of personalisation.
Mazda’s stylish and sophisticated supermini range has been boosted with the launch of the all-new Mazda2 Sport Black special edition. With high levels of standard specification, sporty styling enhancements and the opportunity to personalise your car, the all-new Mazda2 Sport Black arrives in dealerships now.

Based on the popular 90ps SE-L Nav, the Sport Black features subtle styling enhancements that complement the stylish KODO: Soul of Motion lines of the all-new Mazda2.

Brilliant Black front and side skirts contrast with both the free-of-charge Soul Red Metallic and Snowflake White Pearlescent paint choices, while the Sport Black is further distinguished by its Brilliant Black roof spoiler and chrome exhaust trim.

There’s also the opportunity for buyers to customise the car even more with two optional exterior graphic designs and contrasting door mirror covers. Sweeping from the headlights to the taillights, the KODO graphic follows the lines of the side profile as they intersect at the centre of the car, while the Race graphic adds sporty stripes low down behind the front wheel.

Customers can choose to add either or both of these decals to their Sport Black. In addition Soul Red door mirrors on Snowflake White Pearlescent cars and Brilliant Black mirrors on Soul Red Metallic cars provide the prospect of even greater personalisation.

The advantages of the all-new Mazda2 Sport Black special edition extend beyond the Brilliant Black styling enhancements from which it takes its name. In addition to the generous standard equipment of the SE-L Nav, the Sport Black comes with 16” Gunmetal alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, auto lights, rain-sensing wipers and rear parking sensors.

“Thanks to its combination of fun-to-drive handling, stylish looks and generous equipment, the all-new Mazda2 is already winning over UK supermini buyers and our latest special edition model offers even greater value to our customers.

With extra standard equipment, plus striking styling enhancements the all-new Mazda2 Sport Black is sure to be a very popular addition.

And thanks to the attractive finance deals available across the range, even more customers can enjoy the refinement, comfort, first-class connectivity and quality of the all-new Mazda2,” comments Peter Allibon, Sales Director of Mazda Motors UK.

25th Anniversary edition of Mazda's ever popular MX-5 to continue the UK's love of the little roadster.

  • Unique Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe 2.0-litre 25th Anniversary Limited Edition on sale from 1 August 2014
  • Bespoke interior and exterior design, with Limited Edition numbered external badging
  • 750 examples available to UK customers
Celebrating the 25th birthday of its iconic two-seat sportscar this year, Mazda is delighted to announce the launch of the MX-5 Roadster Coupe 2.0-litre 25th Anniversary Limited Edition, which goes on sale throughout the UK from 1 August.
First revealed to the public on February 9th at the 1989 Chicago Auto Show, the Mazda MX-5 caused a sensation. Reintroducing a category of vehicle that had become all but extinct by the early 70s, it was an instant hit on a global scale, far outstripping the company's own sales predictions.
When global production reached 531,890 units in May 2000, the little Mazda was certified by Guinness World Records as the world's best-selling two-seater sports car in history. Total global production passed the 900,000 mark in February 2011, and the Mazda MX-5's Guinness certification was updated.

Just 1000 individually numbered examples of the Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe 2.0-litre 25th Anniversary Limited Edition will be built. It is a testament to Britain's enduring love affair with open-topped motoring that 750 of them will be made available to UK customers with number one being unveiled at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed on 26-29th June.
“To date, three generations of Mazda MX-5 have witnessed the release of over 43 Special Edition models in the UK since 1990,” said Jeremy Thomson, Managing Director, Mazda UK. “None, however, could be more significant to us than this 25th Anniversary Limited Edition, which marks such an important milestone for a car that single-handedly reintroduced the world to the pleasures of exhilarating and affordable open-topped motoring.”
With a comprehensive equipment specification based on the Mazda MX-5 Roadster Coupe 2.0 litre Sport Tech Nav, the 25th Anniversary Limited Edition boasts a wealth of additional exterior and interior features unavailable on any other Mazda MX-5.
A model-unique, Soul Red Metallic paint finish is complemented by Brilliant Black door mirrors, A pillars and power-operated retractable hardtop roof. 17-inch Dark Gunmetal alloy wheels, a rear diffuser and chrome exhaust trim complete the bespoke exterior, with each example benefiting from unique, Limited Edition numbered external badging.
On board, the 25th Anniversary Limited Edition Mazda MX-5 may be instantly identified by heated, Light Stone leather trimmed upholstery which incorporates contrasting red stitching to the seats, steering wheel, gearshift and handbrake lever, and 25th Anniversary logo-embossed headrests. This unique interior design is completed by a bespoke, hand-painted Dark Red dashboard decoration panel, Brilliant Black roll-over bar covers, alloy pedal set and 25th Anniversary stainless steel scuff plates.
Specific to the UK 25th Anniversary Limited Edition MX-5 is a 6.1-inch touch screen Mazda Navigation System. Exclusively engineered for Mazda by Alpine, the fully integrated, high resolution system features 46 European country maps, 29 different languages, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, an integrated CD, radio and DVD player with a 50:50 split screen allowing for the simultaneous viewing of two input sources, and customisable user profile settings for each driver.
Its 2.0-litre, 16v, 160ps powerplant allied to a slick, short-throw 6-speed manual transmission, the lightweight, compact, 25th Anniversary Limited Edition Mazda MX-5 marries sub-8 second 0-62 mph acceleration and a 136mph top speed with perfect, 50:50 weight distribution and a low moment of inertia for outstanding agility and driving enjoyment.
