An incredibly rare 1991 Series 4 Aston Martin Lagonda saloon is being offered for sale by specialist supercar sales and service agents, SVR.
Celebrating its 25th birthday, this Lagonda is one of only just 105 made during the three-year production run of the Series 4 model. A then-departure from the British marque’s two-seat sportscars, this model is offered with just 20,340 miles on the clock.
One of the most striking features is the square dashboard, with the Lagonda the world’s first production car to feature computer management and a digital instrumentation panel.

This particular Lagonda features the upgraded fuel injection system for its 5.2 litre V8 powerplant, allowing for a more user-friendly and efficient power delivery.
The final run of Lagondas to be produced, the Series 4 was introduced at the 1987 Geneva Motor Show, featuring slight alterations by the car’s original designer, William Towns. These included the rounding of the car’s sharp edges and the pop-up headlights replaced with the iconic triple stack arrangement, either side of the grille, the most obvious changes.
This extremely rare Lagonda – the last model to carry the name of Aston Martin’s luxury brand until the limited-run Lagonda Taraf was released in 2014 – is finished in royal blue bodywork with a cream leather and ash interior and also features cruise control, electric door mirrors and windows and a rear sunroof.

  • Beatles tribute act The Brighton Beatles to headline evening show
With less than a week to go before the big day, Mini fans have a lot to look forward to at this year’s Mini in the Park which takes place at Santa Pod, Beds, on Sunday August 14th.
One of the more entertaining features of the day will be the ‘Club Mini Push’, with representatives of some of the country’s biggest and best Mini clubs competing head to head in a battle to push a classic Mini around an obstacle course in the fastest possible time.
Visitors will also have the chance to enter a competition to win a classic Mini, sponsored by specialist insurers Carole Nash

The two-door saloon has been dramatically transformed during the 2016 show season, and the draw to win it will take place live at the show, with one lucky winner getting to drive away in the all-time British classic.
Renowned Mini stunt driver, Alistair Moffatt, promises to be a big draw as he shows off his millimetre-perfect handbrake turn parallel parking in a classic Mini – a breath-taking display for fans, as he slides into a parking space with just inches to spare.
In addition, there will be a hotly contested concours competition, featuring some of the finest cars on the Mini scene, plus a Mini-only ‘Run Wot Ya Brung’ contest on Santa Pod’s famous drag strip, with prizes at stake. Four runs down the famous strip can be bought for just £20 on top of the standard show entry.
Non-club members will also be able to enjoy the show, with a special Mini-only parking area reserved for their prized cars, and even a special award for the best ‘non-club’ Mini attending the event.
The event is also host to MiniWorld magazine's 25th anniversary celebrations, and most notable among this will be a display of featured cars from the past, present and future issues. Expect restored classics and some beautifully modified examples to excite and inspire every Mini fan.
Each year, over 1,000 Mini fans choose to start their MITP experience early, with a festival feel family friendly campsite, plus live music and Santa Pod’s famous funfair. Gates open at 2pm on the Saturday, with entertainment from 7.30pm. Admission is £5 per person in advance or £10 per person on arrival (gates close 2am Sunday morning).
The evening at MITP 2016 will include the Brighton Beatles, one of the best fab four tribute acts in the country. Prizes for those wearing proper 60s get-up are up for grabs in a Beatles-based fancy dress competition.

25 years ago a new brand hit the UK shores, and now, all those years later, Kia is one of the UK's biggest.

From white wall tyres and £1 deposits to an industry leading seven year warranty and numerous design awards, Kia Motors (UK) Ltd is celebrating 25 years in the UK. The brand first started trading here in 1991, selling just under 1,800 cars in the UK in that year – a figure that it now sells on average every two weeks across its 188 strong dealer network.

Starting with just one model on sale in 1991 - the Kia Pride - the Kia range now covers nine segments with 12 cars on offer and with three engine types available in the UK – petrol, diesel and electric - this is soon to be expanded with the all-new petrol hybrid Niro going on sale in August.
With UK sales totalling 763,500 from 1991 to today, 44 per cent of the total has been in the last five years, highlighting the dramatic growth that the brand has seen in recent years. Consumers have been attracted to the brand for its styling, quality and reliability as well as that industry-topping seven year warranty.
Commenting on Kia’s 25th UK anniversary, Paul Philpott, President and CEO, Kia Motors (UK) Ltd, said: “Kia has been on quite a journey in recent years. Within Kia’s time in the UK we have grown from a relatively small importer to challenging the best and most established brands in the industry.”
“We have a fantastic, ever growing, range of cars and in 2016 and 2017 we will launch fourteen new and face-lifted cars. Kia are certainly not resting on its laurels for the next 25 years as we expand our sales and dealer network in the UK.”
The Picanto - Pride’s replacement – was the first car in the A-segment to offer a five-door model, launching a successful and quirky animated advert asking consumers to ‘Think about it’, something that consumers have taken to heart – the Picanto is the biggest selling Kia in the UK since its introduction in 2004 with over 156,000 sold to date.
The Sportage - now in its fourth generation has sold close to 140,000 and is Kia’s second best-selling model with 16,000 of those being sold since the new model launch in February.
Although it has been in the UK for just 25 years Kia is still a company of firsts – from the five-door Picanto, through to dancing hamsters advertising for the Soul as well as being the first manufacturer to utilise the independent review company Reevoo so that customer can give unedited, uncensored feedback about its models and its dealerships – with over 20,000 reviews, 97 per cent of customers would chose Kia again.
Kia Motors Corporation is considerably older than its UK subsidiary being established in 1944. With its origins of manufacturing bicycles in South Korea, Kia has grown to be part of the 5th largest automotive group in the world and is present in over 170 countries.

25 years after the launch of the original Clio, Renault has renewed its best-seller with the introduction of New Clio

  • 25 years after the launch of the original Clio, Renault has renewed its best-seller with the introduction of New Clio
  • New Clio packs even more seductive appeal thanks to its lighting signature and full-LED Pure Vision head lights, as well as new styling details
  • New dCi 110 engine and TCe 120 now available with a manual transmission
  • Improvements to interior quality as well as new colours and trims
  • Additional infotainment options, BOSE sound system and convenience options such as Handsfree Parking
  • New Clio delivers one of the market’s most extensive powertrain line-ups
  • New Clio will be available to order in the UK from October
  • Clio has sold 13 million units worldwide since launch
Twenty five years on from launch in the UK, Renault has unveiled New Clio bringing a host of styling, equipment, powertrain and quality improvements to the fourth generation of its best-selling supermini.  New Clio will go on sale in the UK from October.
Styling: New Clio keeps all of its promises
The fourth-generation Clio was the first Renault model to feature the brand’s new styling identity in 2012. Thanks to a full-LED lighting signature, including C-shaped daytime running lights in the case of certain versions, New Clio continues to refresh Renault’s design identity.

At the front, the grille which houses the Renault diamond has been redesigned, as has the lower part of the grille which is wider to add an even more modern feel to the front end. At the rear, the skirt has been redesigned for additional robustness.
Four new body colours have been added (Mars Red, Titanium Grey, Arctic White and Iron Blue), with a selection of new wheel and wheel trim designs, plus a more extensive personalisation programme.
The New Clio benefits from the use of finishing materials previously reserved for Renault’s higher-end models. All the upholsteries are new and special attention has been paid to the tactile and visual quality of the plastics’ grain-effect finish.
The chrome trim features a more subdued, matt finish and the colours are more refined. In short, the new Clio forms a higher end package which strikes a desirable balance between seductive exterior styling and a high-quality interior finish.
Driving pleasure, connectivity and agility to address all types of use
The powerful, fuel-efficient 1.5 dCi 110 diesel engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox is a new addition to the New Clio’s powertrain line-up, as is the availability of six-speed manual transmission for the TCe 120 petrol engine.  As a result, New Clio boasts one of the market’s most extensive powertrain ranges thanks to a choice of eleven engine/transmission combinations (depending on market).
To provide customers with a range of options, the New Clio comes with three different connected multimedia systems, namely Media Nav Evolution, Renault R-Link Evolution and the new, smart R&GO system which is available on entry trim levels.  The new Clio is the first B-segment Renault to be available with BOSE quality sound for a memorable audio experience, while a suite of driving aids makes the new car even more versatile and nimble.
In addition to its reverse parking sensor, and depending on the version, the New Clio offers a front parking sensor and a reverse parking camera.  Available for higher-end versions, Handsfree Parking allows the driver to fully delegate the completion of parking manoeuvres.
Full details on the UK line-up with pricing and specification will be available later in the summer.  Vehicle ordering is due open in October with deliveries commencing later that month.
