The All-New Bentley Continental GT is launched with a First Edition model, I want one.

  • Exclusive First Edition model is the ultimate expression of legendary Grand Tourer
  • Specification curated by the award-winning Bentley design team
  • High specification includes Bentley Rotating Display
  • Unique Dual Veneers available as standard, including exclusive Grand Black
  • Mulliner Driving Specification, City Specification and Touring Specification help create the most luxurious Grand Tourer ever
Bentley Motors has created an exclusive First Edition of the all-new Continental GT. This ultimate expression of the Grand Tourer represents the pinnacle of Bentley craftsmanship, handcrafted and designed in Great Britain.
Exquisitely appointed, the interior specification of the Bentley Continental GT First Edition has been painstakingly curated by the Bentley design team. The new model combines all the finest features available on the third generation Continental GT, brought together to create the most luxurious Grand Tourer ever produced.
A stunning showcase of technology and design, the First Edition includes the unique Bentley Rotating Display. This system enables the driver to seamlessly switch between three different fascia panels to suit the mood of the cabin.
The default 12.3” touchscreen can be substituted with a more classically styled instrument display if preferred; one that features three analogue dials. When the engine is off, the third veneer-only face is displayed for an uninterrupted flow of wood right across the dashboard.
Customers can choose from one of four unique Dual Veneers for the dashboard fascia. These beautiful wood options include Tamo Ash, Liquid Amber, Dark Stained Madrona and Dark Fiddleback Eucalyptus, always combined with Grand Black, which is exclusive to the First Edition.
These exceptional finishes help create the impression of even more space inside an already sumptuous cabin, and complement a striking interior design that is beautifully enhanced by mood lighting and illuminated sills emblazoned with ‘Bentley’, visible when opening the doors.
Mirroring the performance of the new Grand Tourer’s 6.0-litre, twin turbocharged W12 TSI engine; the Mulliner Driving Specification is also included with the First Edition. This driver-focused collection adds drilled alloy foot pedals, jewel-finish oil and filler caps, and unique, 22” wheels, available in bright paint, black and hand polished or fully polished finishes.
The specification is complemented by diamond-in-diamond quilt pattern on seats, door panels and rear quarter panels, all featuring a unique contrast stitch only available with the First Edition.
Other key additions to the ultimate list of standard equipment include the City Specification and Touring Specification, with features such as park assist, pedestrian warning and traffic sign recognition. The Bentley 650 watts audio system can be upgraded with either the Bang & Olufsen system of 1500 watts, or for the true audiophile the top-of-the-range Naim audio system with 2200 watts.
Discreet Union Flag First Edition badging throughout the interior and exterior of the Continental GT identify the car’s exceptional credentials, in addition to a unique Union Flag tread plate plaque.

Bentley Motor's launches a new limited Edition Continental GTC based on British Yachts.

  • New, limited edition of the Continental GT Convertible by Mulliner
  • Inspired by luxury yachting
  • Sophisticated maritime opulence and exquisite material detailing
  • Mulliner introduces Pinstripe Walnut, a new bespoke wood finish
  • Limited edition named after the Greek goddess of calm seas, Galene
  • Jaume Vilardell handpainted illustration adorns front fascia panel
  • Limited to just 30 examples worldwide
Bentley Motors is today announcing the new Bentley Continental GT Convertible Galene Edition by Mulliner, inspired by luxury yachts.
Bentley’s bespoke commissioning division, Mulliner, has created the ultimate edition of the Continental GT Convertible in collaboration with British yacht experts, Princess Yachts, and takes inspiration from yacht design.
Defined by brilliant Glacier White and Sequin Blue hues externally, and inspired by the clean, confident design lines and materials of yachts internally, the Galene Edition by Mulliner combines the best elements of an oceanic lifestyle with luxury convertible motoring.
It is powered by Bentley’s refined 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 powerplant, with 507 PS and 660 Nm and benefits from Bentley’s elegant, four-layered retractable hood which keeps occupants in the same unruffled environment that the hard-top Continental GT coupe provides.
Designed by the Ocean: Clean, Confident Lines
The external design of the new Continental GT Convertible Galene Edition by Mulliner captures the iridescent sparkle of crystal clear waters.
Painted in pristine Glacier White, with a matching bodywork kit, the Galene Edition is specified with lower brightware in Sequin Blue, a timeless detail and elegant reminder of the life aquatic. A dark blue hood and striking 21” polished Propeller Wheels complete Mulliner’s external signature on the Galene Edition.
Inspired by Luxury Yachts, Created by Mulliner
The interior of the Continental GT Convertible Galene Edition pays homage to the classic opulence, finest hand-crafted materials and exquisite details that are championed both by yachts and Bentley cars.
The seats are in Linen and Portland hides with Camel hand cross stitching, the door panels are Linen, Portland and Brunel. Linen, Brunel and Camel accentuate the dashboard, centre console and armrests, whilst the steering wheel is Linen and Brunel with a Camel 12 o’clock stripe. The detailed headrest embroidery is in Camel and the Glacier White stowage case is exquisitely lined in Brunel Alcantara.
The Glacier White external paintwork is echoed inside, in the stowage case and fascia panels, which can be specified with a unique handpainted Jaume Vilardell illustration of a super yacht alongside the Mulliner script in each car. It also coats the clock bezel in the Galene Edition, creating an interior space full of light and luxury.
Pinstripe Walnut: Commissioned for the Galene Edition
Inspired by the timeless appeal of sophisticated yacht design, Mulliner has created a new material finish – Pinstripe Walnut – for the Galene Edition.
This distinctive surface is used in open-pore form, for a more authentic, natural finish, in the centre stack and console.
A Pinstripe Walnut insert also adds a note of understated elegance to the bespoke illuminated treadplates in the Galene Edition, and lines the boot floor, creating a striking harmony with the rest of this graceful series, limited to just 30 examples worldwide, by Mulliner.

USA - The all-new Lincoln Continental has earned the highest award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety

  • All-new Lincoln Continental’s available Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection system earned a superior rating from Insurance Institute for Highway Safety; the sedan secured a good rating for its optional adaptive LED headlamps
  • The 2017 Lincoln Continental achieved good ratings on all five crashworthiness tests
  • Top Safety Pick+ is the agency’s highest award
The all-new Lincoln Continental has earned the highest award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety due to its available crash prevention system, along with the good rating achieved on crash tests and its optional adaptive LED headlamps. The 2017 Lincoln Continental, the flagship sedan of The Lincoln Motor Company, has secured the coveted Top Safety Pick+.
The car’s available Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection earned a superior rating. The system, which is designed to reduce the severity of and, in some cases, even eliminate frontal collisions – including those involving pedestrians – uses radar and camera technology to provide a collision warning to the driver. If the driver does not respond in time, it can automatically apply the vehicle brakes.
The Lincoln Continental, equipped with Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection, avoided collisions in track tests at 12 mph and 25 mph. The system’s forward collision warning component also meets National Highway Traffic Safety Administration criteria.
The car’s available adaptive LED headlamps earned a good rating, providing ample lighting on a straightaway and on most curves. The headlamps use high-beam assist, a feature that automatically switches between high beams and low beams, depending on the presence of other vehicles.
Vehicles qualify for a Top Safety Pick+ if they have good ratings in five crashworthiness tests – small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraints – plus an available front crash prevention system that earns a superior or advanced rating, and good or acceptable headlights. The Lincoln Continental delivered on all aspects.

END OF YEAR WORLDWIDE - BENTLEY - The luxury brand breaks all records as sales continue to grow.

  • Bentley Motors delivers a record 11,023 cars in 2016
  • 56 per cent growth in Europe, 16 per cent up in UK
  • 85 per cent export signals global demand
Bentley Motors delivered 11,023 cars in 2016, a record high and the company’s fourth consecutive year above 10,000 cars. This represents a nine per cent growth on the performance of 2015 (10,100 cars).
The Americas remained Bentley’s number one region, with Europe and the UK both posting sales increases.
Strong customer demand for the Bentley Bentayga, which reached all global markets during 2016, played a key role in this success.

Commenting on the results, Bentley’s Chairman and CEO, Wolfgang Dürheimer, said:
“The strong performance of recent years has continued through 2016, a year of new models, investment and record demand. We have introduced the world’s first luxury SUV, the Bentayga, opened the first building of our R&D expansion and outlined our ambitions for potential future investment at our factory in Crewe, UK.
“Looking ahead, our focus is to continue to invest in new sector-defining luxury cars, innovative technologies and play a leading role in defining the future of luxury mobility.”
Bentley’s Member of the Board for Sales, Marketing and Aftersales, Dr. Andreas Offermann, said:
“Our globally-balanced sales success indicates the strength of our brand and products. We introduced a total of six new model variants in 2016 and increased our presence around the world, adding 20 new retailers to make a total of 210 partners in 59 markets.

“We can take this high level of investment and commitment from our business and retailers into 2017 and start the year in a positive way.”

The number one customer sales region throughout 2016 was the Americas, closing the year delivering 2,792 cars, against a figure of 2,864 in 2015. This accounted for 25 per cent of global deliveries.

The introduction of Bentayga to the Americas region in the second half of 2016 saw a record-high performance for a six-month period.

In Europe, sales were up by 56 per cent with 2,676 cars delivered on the previous figure of 1,695. Bentley’s home market, the UK continued to perform strongly, establishing itself as the third highest selling region, delivering 1,692 cars, up from 1,457 in 2015, an increase of 16 per cent.

Bentley delivered 1,239 cars to the Middle East in 2016, against 1,274 cars in 2015.
In China, Bentley delivered 1,595 cars, marginally down on the previous year’s figure of 1,615.

Bentley makes the fastest four seater in the world, capable of 209 mph, yes please !

  • New Continental Supersports is the pinnacle grand tourer
  • Fastest accelerating Bentley ever: 0-60 mph in 3.4 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds); top speed of 209 mph (336 km/h)
  • Most powerful Bentley yet: 710 PS (700 bhp), 1,017 Nm (750 lb.ft.)
  • Extreme agility blends with refinement and luxurious ride quality
  • Unique styling highlights performance potential; available as coupe or convertible
Bentley is today announcing its fastest and most powerful production model to date: the new Bentley Continental Supersports.
A top speed of 209 mph (336 km/h) and a 0-60 mph time of 3.4 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds) make the new Continental Supersports the world’s fastest and most powerful luxury four-seat car.
Similarly, its soft-top sibling, the Continental Supersports Convertible, is the fastest four-seat convertible in the world, dispatching the sprint to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds (0-100 km/h in 3.9 secs) on its way to a 205 mph (330 km/h) top speed.

Bentley’s mighty W12 engine, redeveloped for the Supersports with new high-performance turbos and engine hardware, and a torque vectoring system create a Continental Supersports  as agile as it is powerful. Meanwhile, unique styling cues inside and out give the new model a sharpened athletic appearance highlighting its performance potential.
As well as offering supercar pace and a highly focused driving experience, there is no compromise in the refined nature of the Continental’s ride quality. This fusion of extremes in luxury and performance make the Supersports the ultimate iteration of a model that has come to define and dominate the grand touring genre.
Wolfgang Dürheimer, chairman and chief executive of Bentley Motors, said: "The Supersports name is legendary at Bentley. From the very first Supersports of the 1920s, to the Continental Supersports of 2009 – and now with the third iteration of this iconic model – it is a name which excites, impassions and thrills. Only Bentley could create a car which blends immense performance and unrivalled luxury in this way.”
Extreme Power and Torque; Stand-Out Performance
A bespoke drivetrain featuring Bentley’s W12 engine combines extreme power and torque to offer exhilarating performance.
Key to the Supersports’ additional outputs are newly designed, higher-capacity turbochargers and a revised charge-air cooling system which create more boost and additional power. In order to harness these additional outputs, upgrades have also been made to the Continental’s cranktrain, including new main and conrod bearings.
These extensive engine revisions result in an increase of 80 PS (79 bhp) and 217 Nm (160 lb.ft.) over the 2009 Supersports model – a 10 percent power-to-weight and 25 percent torque-to-weight ratio improvement.  The top speed rises by five miles per hour (and the 0-60 mph time drops by 0.3 seconds).
The Supersports also benefits from a new torque converter which locks up faster allowing the car to make best use of the enhanced torque figure of 1,017 Nm (750 lb. ft.), and accelerate from standstill even more rapidly.
In order to rein in this immense performance the new Supersports is fitted with high-performance carbon ceramic brakes with enhanced cooling. The brake discs are the largest of their type in the world, providing excellent performance with minimal fade under extreme conditions.
The brakes sit behind lightweight 21” forged alloy wheels, together offering a 20 kg weight saving in unsprung mass. A further 5 kg weight-saving is offered via an optional titanium exhaust system. The new Supersports is the lightest-ever iteration of the current Continental GT and lighter than the 2009 four-seat Supersports model.
Enhancing the driver experience still further, the exhaust system has been redesigned to breath more freely and provide an unmistakeable Bentley soundtrack, with down-shifts eliciting a rifle-fire crackle.
Ultimate Handling and Luxury Refinement
This performance is matchedby athletic handling. The Supersports has a specifically calibrated and updated version of the torque vectoring system first introduced on the Continental GT3-R.
This dynamic system brakes individual front and rear wheels during acceleration out of corners to increase performance, whilst maintaining full power to unbraked wheels, and brakes the inside rear wheel on turn-in to improve agility. It also has a bespoke, less intrusive stability control calibration for a more precise chassis response.
The new Supersports retains the rear-biased torque split of Bentley’s all-wheel-drive system, sending 60 per cent of the engine’s power to the rear wheels as standard for a better balanced, more sporting character, but with the ability to adjust the front-rear power split depending on available traction.
Despite the focus on sharper driving dynamics, the Supersports’ lowered and stiffened dynamic suspension set-up retains all of its luxurious ride quality for passengers wishing to cover long distances in supreme comfort.
Bespoke Design Signalling High-Performance Character
The new Continental Supersports features unique exterior and interior styling cues which reflect the significant uplift in the performance capability of this pinnacle grand tourer.
Exterior changes include newly sculpted front and rear bumper designs incorporating a carbon-fibre splitter and diffuser respectively, new side sill extensions and bonnet vents also finished in carbon-fibre, gloss-black front wing vents and a new gloss-black, rifled exhaust tailpipe design. Completing the  dramatic exterior look are dark-tint headlamps and tail-lamps, and a complement of black-finished brightware to the front grilles, lights, rear bumper, door handles and window surrounds.
There is also an optional, aerodynamically balanced rear spoiler and front splitter combination for the coupe, new Supersports badging, a new black and bright-machined finish for the 21” forged alloy wheels and  optional side decals. Further highlighting the enhanced performance, an optional gloss-finished, Supersports-branded carbon-fibre engine cover can be specified.
The new Continental Supersports Convertible offers the luxury and refinement of a coupé yet transforms into a head-turning open-tourer at the touch of a button. The multi-layer hood ensures high levels of refinement and acoustic insulation. Exhaustively tested in all conditions from -30°C to +50°C or more, it resists even monsoon-force rain and maintains comfortable, draft-free warmth even on the coldest days.
Another practical feature, the neck warmer, makes open air driving an appealing and comfortable prospect even on the cooler days of spring and autumn. With the hood down, the Continental Supersports Convertible offers sensational performance with the sensory amplification of open-air motoring. Hood up, it’s as practical a year-round proposition as its coupé stablemate.
Inside, a host of bespoke styling details enhance the contemporary British luxury experience.
A unique colour split has been created, using three colours: the first tri-tone interior offered in this generation Continental GT. A new diamond-quilted design is incorporated in the seats and door side panels for a unique signature in Alcantara, while chequered Supersports carbon-fibre fascia panels join the existing list of ten veneers and technical finishes available. The interior is completed by new Supersports emblem stitching, and a bespoke Supersports steering wheel and  unique gearlever, both featuring Alcantara accents.
A titanium exhaust option is available for drivers seeking a more intense audible experience. As well as a stirring soundtrack, the Titanium system also provides a weight reduction.
For Supersports customers seeking even more personalisation, an
‘X Specification’ pack is available, consisting of eight unique duo-tone paint treatments and carbon-fibre door mirrors and heel plates. The titanium exhaust option is included, as is a carbon-fibre finish to the interior side panels, the carbon-fibre engine cover and a gloss black finish to the 21” forged wheels.

As with all Bentleys, the Supersports can also be handed over to the highly skilled craftspeople at Mulliner, Bentley’s bespoke coachbuilding department, who will respond to individual customer requirements.
Supersports: The Ultimate in Luxury and Performance
The Continental Supersports of 2009 won global plaudits for its unique combination of extreme dynamics and unrivalled luxury.
The new Supersports takes these characteristics to new heights of engineering excellence, transforming this model into the world’s fastest four-seat car and one that is, nonetheless, an everyday, usable luxury coupe or convertible.
It sits at the pinnacle of Bentley’s luxury and performance ethos and is the ultimate iteration of a model that has come to define luxury automotive grand touring.
