USA SALES JUNE - SUBARU - 67 months of growth does not look like ending anytime soon.

  • Record June - monthly sales increase 11.7 percent over June 2016
  • 67 consecutive months of yearly month-over-month growth
  • Best June ever for Crosstrek, Forester, Outback and Impreza
  • 40 consecutive months of more than 10,000 Outbacks sold
  • 47 consecutive months of more than 10,000 Foresters sold
Subaru of America, Inc. today reported 52,057 vehicle sales for June 2017, an 11.7 percent increase over June 2016, and the best June in the history of the company. The automaker also reported year-to-date sales of 304,810 vehicles, a 9.1 percent gain over the same period in 2016.


June marked the 40th consecutive month of 40,000+ vehicle sales for the company. Crosstrek, Forester, Outback and Impreza sales were notably strong as each model achieved its best June ever.


“We are very pleased to have set another half-year record and to have reached our 67th consecutive month of yearly month-over-month sales increases,” said Thomas J. Doll, president and chief operating officer, Subaru of America, Inc. “Despite a more competitive market, we’re proud of our retailer’s ability to increase sales volume and market share.”



“We are pleased to have exceeded 50K sales for the tenth time in the past twelve months and we are optimistic about our results for the remainder of the year,” said Jeff Walters, senior vice president of sales. “We will benefit as the all-new 2018 Crosstrek starts arriving at our retailers later this month.”

USA SALES MAY - SUBARU - A decent 12% growth in the month takes it 66 months of growth.

  • Record May - monthly sales increase 12.1 percent over May 2016
  • 66 consecutive months of yearly month-over-month growth
  • Best May ever for Forester, Outback and Impreza
  • 39 consecutive months of more than 10,000 Outbacks sold
  • 46 consecutive months of more than 10,000 Foresters sold
Subaru of America, Inc. today reported 56,135 vehicle sales for May 2017, a 12.1 percent increase over May 2016, and the best May in the history of the company. The automaker also reported year-to-date sales of 252,753 vehicles, an 8.5 percent gain over the same period in 2016.


May marked the 39th consecutive month of 40,000+ vehicle sales for the company. Forester, Outback and Impreza sales were notably strong as each model achieved its best May ever. Impreza sales for May 2017 increased 44.2 percent over the same month in 2016 and marked the best month ever for the carline.



“Subaru is proud to be setting another monthly, year-over-year sale increase, our 66th consecutive month of doing so,” said Thomas J. Doll, president and chief operating officer, Subaru of America, Inc. “Our record May sales are a direct result of our retailers providing customers with the best purchase and ownership experience possible.”



“Demand for the all-new Impreza has been incredibly strong,” said Jeff Walters, senior vice president of sales. “We are looking forward to the all-new Crosstrek, as well as the updated WRX, Legacy and Outback models arriving at our retailers this summer to further boost consumer interest in Subaru.”

USA SALES APRIL - SUBARU - The motn was the best ever April with a 4% growth over 2016.

  • Record April - monthly sales increase 4 percent over April 2016
  • 65 consecutive months of yearly month-over-month growth
  • Best April ever for Outback, Forester and Impreza
  • 38 consecutive months of more than 10,000 Outbacks sold
  • 45 consecutive months of more than 10,000 Foresters sold
Subaru of America, Inc. today reported 52,368 vehicle sales for April 2017, a 4 percent increase over April 2016, and the best April in the history of the company. The automaker also reported year-to-date sales of 196,618 vehicles, a 7.6 percent gain over the same period in 2016.


April marked the 38th consecutive month of 40,000+ vehicle sales for the company. Outback, Forester and Impreza sales were notably strong as each model achieved its best April ever. Impreza sales for April 2017 increased 66.2 percent over the same month in 2016 and marked the second time that Impreza has topped 8,000 units in a month.
“With positive press reaction to the all-new Impreza and upcoming Crosstrek models, we expect even stronger demand as we enter the summer months,” said Thomas J. Doll, president and chief operating officer, Subaru of America, Inc. “2017 looks set to be our tenth year of consecutive sales growth, with more new product to come.”

“Despite a more competitive market, we’re proud of our retailer’s ability to increase sales volume and market share,” said Jeff Walters, senior vice president of sales. “We are well positioned for continued success with our crossover models, as well as record sales volume from the all-new Impreza.”

Earlier in April, Subaru of America once again won in three major categories of the Kelley Blue Book 2017 Brand Image Awards including Best Overall Brand, Most Trusted Brand and Best Performance Brand. This marks the second consecutive year Subaru has been awarded all three top honors; the second straight year Subaru has won Best Overall Brand and the third consecutive win for Most Trusted Brand and Best Performance Brand. Also in April, the 2017 Impreza made the Wards 10 Best Interiors list for interior design and styling, as well as for its easy-to-use multimedia system.

USA SALES MARCH - SUBARU - All bar one models show an increase making an 11.3% growth for the month.

  • Record March - monthly sales increase 11.3 percent over March 2016
  • 64 consecutive months of yearly month-over-month growth
  • Best March ever for Outback, Forester and WRX/WRX STI
  • 37 consecutive months of more than 10,000 Outbacks sold
  • 44 consecutive months of more than 10,000 Foresters sold
Subaru of America, Inc. today reported 54,871 vehicle sales for March 2017, an 11.3 percent increase over March 2016, and the best March in the history of the company. The automaker also reported year-to-date sales of 144,250 vehicles, a 9 percent gain over the same period in 2016.


March marked the 37th consecutive month of 40,000+ vehicle sales for the company. Outback, Forester and WRX/WRX STI sales were notably strong as each model achieved its best March ever. Impreza sales for March 2017 increased 47.4 percent over the same month in 2016.


“We are pleased with our start to 2017,” said Thomas J. Doll, president and chief operating officer, Subaru of America, Inc. “We have a busy year ahead of us with the launch of the all-new 2018 Crosstrek this summer and the 3-row SUV debuting later in the year. We are confident of setting another record in 2017 for Subaru in the U.S.”



“We are appreciative our retailers could deliver a best-ever March not only for Outback and Forester, but for the WRX/WRX STI as well,” said Jeff Walters, senior vice president of sales for Subaru of America. “Also, the all-new Impreza continues to impress and we expect it will continue to build on its positive momentum.”



Earlier in March, the 2017 Outback was named “Best Wagon” in the “2017 Best Cars for Families” list by U.S. News & World Report. Winners have the best combination of positive reviews from professional car critics, safety ratings, space, and available tech features. In addition, the 2017 Impreza was one of 12 vehicles to earn the Autotrader “2017 Must Test Drive Award.” Autotrader's editorial experts choose the winners of the annual Must Test Drive Awards based on a diverse set of criteria.
