Maserati took time away from cars with the launch of a new range of accessories at the Frankfurt Show.

Ermenegildo Zegna and Maserati have created a special capsule collection of fine leather-wear and accessories designed to honour the release of the Ermenegildo Zegna trim package available on all Maserati Ghibli and Quattroporte models.
Following in the footsteps of the Maserati Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition with its Zegna-designed interior, Zegna’s master craftsmen have created a pure silk fabric with an extremely high visual impact for the cockpit and seats in what has been described as the ultimate expression of style and exclusivity.
The automotive-grade fabric combines an incredibly soft feel with an elegantly technical look to deliver dynamism and a contemporary feel that is worthy of one of Maserati’s most iconic models.

The dual-colour, dual-material composition of leather tones and Zegna anthracite silk has inspired a special capsule collection that will be available in key Ermenegildo Zegna global stores, starting from October 2015. The collection includes bi-material outerwear in leather and technical silk, special-edition sneakers, scarves in 100% anthracite silk, fine leather goods and exclusive foldable sunglasses.
Zegna’s distinctive patterned silk combined with fine calf leathers and embellished with the Maserati trident reflect the understated luxury of both brands. A unique leather bomber-style blouson with its raglan sleeves in pure silk herringbone structure and body in high-quality nappa plongee complements the dynamic dual-material of the Ermenegildo Zegna trim package, just as the premium sneaker in hand-buffed calf leather and Lanificio Zegna’s Maserati fabric is the ultimate in comfort and style.
From the elegant holdall in smooth French calfskin with embossed Maserati trident and  Ermenegildo Zegna exclusive for Maserati fabric lining, to the calf leather travel wallet with extractable handle and special passport and boarding pass pockets, to the Maserati-logoed keycase, the rich assortment of products,  reveals a rigorous attention to even the smallest of details.
Completing the collection, pure silk herringbone scarves, dark brown goat nappa driving gloves and foldable metal sunglasses with leather detailing are the perfect accessories to excite the luxury sports car enthusiast. who find in Maserati the perfect combination between elegance and performance.
The Ermenegildo Zegna Maserati capsule collection has been expressly designed to reflect the heritage, craftsmanship and elegance synonymous with both the Zegna and Maserati brands. They are also part of the multi-year partnership between Ermenegildo Zegna and Maserati, which saw as a first step, the launch of the Maserati Quattroporte Ermenegildo Zegna Limited Edition.

Dainese champions featuring GORE-TEX® jackets

Discover the new Dainese GORE-TEX® jackets with Valentino Rossi, Guy Martin, Andrea Iannone and Nicky Hayden. With their claim of “I'm a racer..and I wanna be”, the four Dainese riders invite you to discover the features of the GORE-TEX® jackets from the 2014 collection.
See http://youtu.be/S4B99jd9DuM for the fantastic wearability of these GORE-TEX® jackets, or click on the first image.
For the Touring market Dainese presents the CARVE MASTER GORE-TEX® and RIDDER GORE-TEX® jackets.

The CARVE MASTER GORE-TEX® jacket has an aggressive look and was designed for those who use their bikes for sports and medium range touring, and for whom ergonomics, comfort and functionality are important. The sporting nature of the jacket is underlined by leather covered thermoplastic pads on the shoulders and by the design that resembles race suit tops.

Made entirely from Mugello elasticised fabric and with plenty of scope for adjustment, the Carve Master jacket provides exceptional mobility. Reflective inserts are positioned in key locations to ensure high visibility and improved safety on the road.

The RIDDER GORE-TEX® jacket was designed for motorcyclists looking for a technical garment to use on long trips, but that will also protect from the rain and cold temperatures. RIDDER has been designed to offer excellent comfort; it has a laminated GORE-TEX® membrane, is waterproof and breathable and has a removable thermal lining.

At the same time it is among the lightest jackets in the category so it does not over strain the body and restrict movement. It also features a padded removable collar, ventilation on the chest and back, many fit adjustments, the possibility of including the Chest Protector and reflective inserts make this jacket an inseparable travelling companion.

For the City market, Dainese has the CONCORDE GORE-TEX® jacket, which with its laminated GORE-TEX® membrane and soft outer fabric, facilitate quick drying and reduce wind-chill. Thanks to exceptional soft Pro-Shape guards made from an innovative material that adapts perfectly to the body and offers a ratio of impact energy absorption to weight, far in excess of our competitors.

This hooded jacket offers a similar fit to non-technical garments, while maintaining contained volume near the protectors. Attention to detail includes the reflective inserts and the black metal opaque logo, which perfectly set off the look of this jacket.

Ducati announces world 1st production wireless integration with air-bag jackets.

Ducati announces world’s first production motorcycle wirelessly integrated with airbag riding jackets - The Multistrada D-Air®
  • Ducati introduces first ever production motorcycle wirelessly integrated with airbag riding jackets
  • Italian innovation makes significant contribution to two-wheel safety
  • Ducati Multistrada D-Air® model  available in Europe only, from May 2014 onwards
Italy’s iconic motorcycle manufacturer, Ducati, announces the introduction of the Multistrada D-Air® model, featuring a fully integrated, intelligent system of sensors wirelessly connected to Ducati Apparel airbag jackets by Dainese. Marking a ‘world’s first’ in the motorcycle industry and combining the innovative designs from two famous Italian brands, the new Ducati model takes a significant step forward in two-wheel safety.

Combining the expertise of both Ducati and Dainese, the intelligent passive safety system uses sensors built into the Multistrada’s existing electronics to constantly understand the vehicle’s dynamic situation and deploying only when subjected to a genuine accident scenario. The Multistrada D-Air® system completes the data analysis and airbag deployment inside both the rider and passenger jackets in just 45 milliseconds, considerably reducing the risk of injury upon impact.

Ducati’s premiere of the technology, developed in cooperation with Dainese, further underlines the Italian motorcycle manufacturer’s commitment to enhanced safety, already represented by their Ducati Safety Pack consisting of multi-level ABS and traction control.
More information on the Ducati Multistrada D-Air® will be released on 15 April and the innovative new model will be available in European Ducati Dealerships from May 2014 onwards.
