Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

New Trim level on the Skoda Superb gives a more sporty feel, as well as looking the part, it, in top spec, is seriously quick.

  • New Superb SportLine; sports seats, 19-inch alloy wheels and enhanced sports styling
  • Exclusive Dragon Green metallic paint
  • Offered in a range of petrol and diesel engines
  • Available to order from July; prices start from £26,490 OTR
ŠKODA is giving its customers a sporting chance this summer with the latest addition to its award-winning Superb range.

Available as an Estate or Hatchback, the new Superb SportLine offers an enhanced design; highlighted by 19-inch Anthracite Vega alloy wheels, sports design bumpers, sunset glass, and black gloss trim treatment on the grille, wing mirrors, window surrounds and rear spoiler (Hatch only).

The Estate features black gloss roof rails and body-coloured spoiler.

Inside, the Superb SportLine features an enhanced appearance which includes a three-spoke Super Sport multifunction steering wheel with silver stitching, quilted Alcantara sports seats, LED ambient lighting, carbon dashboard trim, aluminium pedals and black headlining. Its segment-leading practicality remains, with a 625-litre load area (660 litres for the Estate) and generous passenger space.
The standard kit list also includes Bi-Xenon headlights, Columbus Navigation and Wi-Fi, rear parking sensors, Drive Mode Select, dual-zone climate control, KESSY keyless entry and cruise control. A sports chassis lowers the car’s ride height by 15mm, and an XDS electronic differential lock ensures sharper handling.
Available in Moon White metallic, Quartz Grey metallic, Business Grey metallic, Brilliant Silver metallic, Black Magic pearl effect and Corrida Red, the SportLine also introduces Dragon Green metallic as an exclusive option.
The Superb SportLine is available in three petrol and two diesel engines, with the option of four-wheel drive and six-speed DSG automatic gearbox. The range-topping 2.0-litre TSI 280PS 4X4 can sprint from 0-62mph in just 5.8 seconds while the 2.0-litre TDI 150PS emits just 109g/km, ensuring it remains an attractive proposition for company car buyers.

Suzuki leads the way in 4x4 non hybrid CO2 emissions.

  • All new Vitara 5-door Compact SUV – on sale in the UK from April.
  • CO2 emissions of 111g/km for 1.6-litre DDiS with ALLGRIP four wheel drive.
  • Three low CO2 emission 4x4 Suzuki models available across the range.
  • New Vitara available with 1.6-litre petrol or 1.6-litre DDiS engines, both with 120PS.
  • Available in SZ4, SZ-T and SZ5 grades, priced from £13,999 for 1.6 petrol SZ4 with two wheel drive up to £21,299 for 1.6 DDiS SZ5 ALLGRIP.
On sale in April, Suzuki is pleased to announce some great news for buyers of the all new Vitara ALLGRIP DDiS model which is the cleanest non-hybrid 4x4 on the market. CO2 emissions are just 111g/km for the 1.6-litre DDiS SZ5 ALLGRIP model with an EC combined fuel consumption figure of 67.2mpg.

It's not just in the 4x4 SUV segment that Suzuki excels either, as the recently launched Swift 4x4 Dualjet model at £14,199 also emits 111g/km and, in the Crossover segment, the S-Cross 1.6DDiS SZ-T at £21,299 is only slightly higher at 114g/km.

From the launch of Vitara in April, Suzuki will offer three low CO2 emission 4x4 models from its range and these are all within the top four most fuel efficient 4x4s on the market. At £21,299 for the SZ5 DDiS ALLGRIP, buyers would need to spend almost £6,000 more to gain any advantage in emissions by moving to a competitor model that utilises a hybrid drive system.

Four-wheel drive is typically seen as detrimental to fuel economy and emissions performance. By contrast, Suzuki’s ALLGRIP system enables CO2 emissions that are remarkably low for a four-wheel drive petrol-powered SUV as well, with figures of 130g/km with five-speed manual transmission and 131g/km with optional six-speed automatic transmission that will be available in the summer.

New Vitara - Specification Highlights and Pricing

Standard equipment specification for the SZ4 model includes seven airbags, 16-inch alloy wheels, DAB Radio with USB and Bluetooth connectivity, Cruise Control with speed limiter, auto air conditioning, front and rear electric windows and projector headlamps.

SZ-T adds 17-inch silver painted alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, Smartphone link audio and navigation system.

Moving up to SZ5 adds LED Projector headlights, 17-inch polished alloy wheels, suede seat fabric, keyless entry with start button, Adaptive Cruise Control, Radar Brake Support and Panaoramic sunroof.

New Alfa Romeo Giulietta Business Edition Launched in the UK.

  • Alfa Romeo launches new Giulietta version aimed specifically at the business sector
  • Powered by a range of economical, low-CO2 engines with the option of six-speed manual or ALFA TCT twin-clutch semi-automatic transmissions
  • Extremely high level of standard specification includes a 6.5-inch Uconnect™ satellite navigation system, DAB, electric lumbar support, alloy wheels, parking sensors, metallic paint and dual-zone climate control
  • Extremely competitive OTR and P11D pricing makes it a compelling offer for business users
Alfa Romeo UK has launched a new derivative of the Giulietta aimed specifically at business drivers. The new Alfa Romeo Giulietta Business Edition is based on the well-equipped, mid-range Distinctive trim level but with a host of additional features which are fast becoming essential equipment for user-choosers.

In addition to the 16-inch alloy wheels; dual-zone climate control; cruise control; rear parking sensors; DAB digital radio and Bluetooth connectivity (with music streaming and an SMS text-message reader with pre-programmed responses) which are already standard on the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Distinctive, the new Business Edition benefits from the 6.5-inch Uconnect™ infotainment system upgrade, with voice-programmable satellite navigation with 3D mapping, as well as the Visibility Pack (dusk and rain sensors; self-dimming rear-view interior mirror and power folding door mirrors), front seat electric lumbar support and front parking sensors to help preserve the metallic or special paint – also a no-cost option on the Business Edition – in pristine condition.

The latest addition to the Giulietta range is offered with a choice of four, tax-friendly, low-CO2 engines: the 1.6-litre JTDM-2 turbo-diesel 105hp (CO2: 104g/km, Combined Economy 70.6 MPG, 2014-2015 BIK Rate 16 percent) and the new 2.0-litre JTDM-2 turbo-diesel 150hp (CO2: 110g/km, Combined Economy 67.3 MPG, BIK Rate 18 percent), both with six-speed manual transmissions, as well as the 1.4 Turbo Petrol 170hp (CO2: 119g/km, Combined Economy 55.4 MPG, BIK Rate 18 percent) and 2.0-litre JTDM-2 turbo-diesel 175hp (CO2: 116g/km, Combined Economy 64.2 MPG, BIK Rate 18 percent), both with Alfa Romeo’s six-speed ALFA TCT twin dry-clutch transmissions.

Not only does the Business Edition offer more than £2,000 worth of additional equipment compared to the Distinctive model, its OTR price is actually lower when both are equipped with comparable engines. This ensures its P11D and BIK numbers are highly competitive, making it a compelling package for business users wishing to add a splash of Italian style to the company car park. The new Alfa Romeo Business is on sale now, priced from £18,990 OTR.

The original Alfa Romeo Giulietta was a milestone car for the brand. It not only made the exotic badge attainable to a much wider audience, it also brought the stunning design, advanced technology and exceptional engineering on which Alfa Romeo built its reputation and racing pedigree. Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint was unveiled to the world for the first time on April 19 1954 at the Turin Motor Show. By the time the show had ended, some 700 orders had been taken.
