Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

  • Spaces still available for Classic Grand Touring’s tour to the famous historic race
Classic Grand Touring, the specialist motor racing tour operator, is gearing up for the historic racing season with a 7-day driving tour to the Grand Prix de Pau Historique starting on Tuesday 17th May from the UK and there are spaces still available.

Thomas Brimblecombe, Managing Director of Classic Grand Touring, said: “The Grand Prix de Pau Historique remains one of our favourites on the historic motor racing calendar and to celebrate this we will have the opportunity to do parade laps of the circuit.”
He added: “Pau is the oldest and most exciting of the remaining street circuits and provides great racing and a convivial atmosphere. It is a lovely old city with thrilling views of the Pyrenees and our central hotel adjacent to the track will take you to pole position to see the action in a heart beat.”
Departing from Portsmouth, tour participants will arrive into Caen and drive through some of France’s most beautiful and quiet country roads. The route on the first days will stop at the famous Hotel de France in the small town of La-Chartre-sur-le-Loir, famous for its association with the 24hs of Le Mans race, followed by an overnight stay at the historic Abbaye de Fontevraud. The tour then continues south to Bergerac before arriving in Pau on Friday 20th May.
The weekend action starts at Pau with tickets for the practice and racing, parade laps of the circuit so participants get a driver’s eye view of the track. A superb lunch will be enjoyed in the paddock restaurant on the Saturday and Sunday, before driving to Santander for the cruise ferry back to Portsmouth on Monday 23rd May.
