Caterham continues expansion with two new dealers in the United Kingdom.

Caterham Cars has appointed two new UK dealers - one in the north and one in the south – as it continues to expand its network on home soil.
Oakmere Motor Group in Cheshire and Williams Automobiles near Bristol have been signed up by the iconic brand to sell its full range of lightweight sportscars, with demonstrator cars already in place at both dealerships.

Both businesses are already well-versed in the selling, servicing and maintenance of used Caterham Sevens but will now stock the recently-extended range of new cars, from Seven 160 to Seven 620R.
Caterham has steadily been growing its sales network both in the UK and internationally in the last few years. More UK dealers are expected to be added in the coming months.
Caterham’s Chief Commercial Officer, David Ridley, said: “Last year was a record year for Caterham in terms of export sales as demand increased for our products. But, while we are intent on growing our business globally, we have not forgotten our roots and the expansion of the UK network is a reflection of the importance we place on our customers here at home.”
Oakmere Motor Group is a family-owned and run business based in Northwich, near Oulton Park race track. For several years, it was one of the largest TVR dealerships in the country and has an excellent understanding of hand-built British sportscars.
Managing director, Jonathan Jarratt, said: “I am passionate about Caterham, having personally owned a number of them over the years and I know our staff share my passion.
“We have sold and maintained many Caterhams over the years and are therefore no strangers to keeping them in tip top shape. We are planning a launch event very soon but, in the meantime, we would love to see as many Caterham owners and enthusiasts at our dealership as possible and would be delighted to give them the guided tour; the kettle is always on.”
Williams Automobiles, based in Chipping Sodbury near Bristol, is one of the UK’s oldest Lotus and Morgan dealerships, having been established by the Williams family in 1911. Like Oakmere, the business is well-versed in servicing and dealing in second-hand Sevens and is heavily involved in domestic motorsport activities.
Business owner and dealer principal, Henry Williams, said: “Caterham has always been a brand I have been interested in. It has an exciting product line-up and there is nothing really close to it elsewhere in the market.”

Caterham launches all new 'Seven' models for 2015 - more of the same then !

  • Caterham Seven 270, 360 and 420 now on sale in the UK
  • Caterham range rationalised to five core models
  • Seven 270 uses new, latest-generation TiVCT Ford Sigma 1.6 engine
  • New ‘S’ and ‘R’ equipment packs available on all models
Caterham Cars has introduced three brand new additions to its existing range of iconic sportscars.
The Seven 270, 360 and 480 are all available in the UK immediately. The introduction of these three new variants simplifies Caterham’s range to comprise five core models. In addition, all Caterham Sevens can now be specified with brand new ‘S’ or ‘R’ equipment packages.***

Like all Sevens, the new variants adhere to Caterham’s brand mantra of delivering ‘accessible fun’ through the traditional Caterham minimalistic, lightweight approach to sportscar engineering.
The three new vehicles sit between the existing range bookends – the entry-level Seven 160 and the supercharged 620R, the most powerful production Seven ever built.
Launched in 2013, the Seven 160 embodies the pioneering spirit of early Sevens with its compact 3-cylinder engine and live-axle rear suspension. Next up is the new 270 model, powered by the latest-generation 1.6 Ford Sigma engine with variable-valve timing technology and offering a 10bhp power upgrade from the outgoing Roadsport 125 it replaces.
Sitting in the middle of the range is the Seven 360, which runs the same 2.0 Ford Duratec power unit as Caterham’s flagship R300 race cars, offering the perfect balance between road and race track.
The penultimate model in the line up is the Seven 420, which features a dry sump and is also powered by the 2.0 Ford Duratec, although benefitting from modifications which offer 210bhp. At the top of the range, is Caterham’s mighty 620R, which also runs a finely-tuned 2.0 Ford Duratec that pumps out an extreme 310bhp and reaches 0-62mph in 2.8 seconds.

The British sportscar maker has also introduced two brand new equipment packages, which are available on all models.*** The new ‘S’ and ‘R’ packs offer specially-tailored trim and equipment packages to suit both road and track drivers.
The ‘S’ pack is geared towards the casual road driver and includes creature comforts such as a fully-carpeted cockpit, full windscreen, hood and side screens and leather seats. Meanwhile, the ‘R’ pack is more track-focused, whilst retaining its road car status by offering limited-slip differential, sports suspension and a four-point race harness.
The ‘R’ pack also offers 15” Orcus alloy wheels, which have been exclusively designed for Caterham and are 10% lighter than the outgoing 15” alloy wheel.  In the cockpit, the unique ‘R’ rev-counter has been orientated to optimise it for use at high rpm. For customers with pure track driving in mind, a 13” alloy wheel is available as an option with the ‘R’ pack; customers choosing this option will also benefit from an upgraded suspension geometry set-up to ensure the ultimate in race track handling.

Caterham Cars CEO, Graham Macdonald, said: “Caterham Cars has been making exciting sportscars accessible to driving enthusiasts for over 40 years.
“Now, with our all-new, simplified model line-up and equipment packages, we feel we have a Seven for everyone, whether your perfect drive is a Sunday drive through the countryside or a hardcore blast around a race track.
“The Caterham brand has always had simplicity at its heart. While the pure thrill of driving remains at the core of our iconic Seven design, the experience of selecting and buying a Caterham is one that now reflects the brand’s values of effortlessness and intuition.”
