USA SALES JUNE - VW - The german brand is back on track with sales increasing.

• June sales totaled 27,377 units, an increase of 15 percent over June 2016
• Year-to-date sales totaled 161,238, an increase of 8.2 percent over year-to-date 2016
• Sales of all-new Atlas totaled 2,413 units

Volkswagen of America, Inc. (VWoA) today reported sales of 27,377 units delivered in June 2017, a 15 percent increase over June 2016. With 161,238 units delivered year-to-date in 2017, the company is reporting an increase of 8.2 percent in year-over-year sales.

June 2017 also marks the first full month of sales for the all-new, Chattanooga, Tenn.-built Atlas. Sales of the vehicle continue to grow as deliveries totaled 2,413 units. The all-new Tiguan will be available later this summer.

USA SALES MAY - VW - The new Atlas saves the day, or month for the brand.

• May sales totaled 30,014 units, an increase of 4.3 percent over May 2016
• Sales of all-new Atlas totaled 1,610 units

Volkswagen of America, Inc. (VWoA) today reported sales of 30,014 units delivered in May 2017, a 4.3 percent increase over May 2016. With 133,861 units delivered year-to-date in 2017, the company is reporting an increase of 6.9 percent in year-over-year sales.

May 2017 also marks the start of sales for the all-new, Chattanooga, Tenn. built Atlas. Deliveries of the vehicle, which began mid-month, totaled 1,610 units. The SUV range of cars had highs and llows, with the Atlas helping the bottom line by over 1,600 units, the Tiguan took a huge drop like the Touareg, also the CC and Passat took a dive in May.

However the year to date figures show that Volkswagen are creeping ahead nicely, they still have some way to go to get back to the heady days before the fuel scandal, but with the Atlas and next generation Golf both these will help get the brand back up to where it once was.

USA SALES APRIL - VW - The German brand has turned a corner with growth in the 4th month of the year.

• April sales totaled 27,557 units, an increase of 1.6 percent over April 2016
• Total Golf sales, including Golf SportWagen and Alltrack, totaled 7,187 units delivered, an increase of 40.7  percent over April 2016
• Chattanooga-built Passat sales totaled 6,148 units, an increase of 9.2 percent over April 2016

Volkswagen of America, Inc. (VWoA) today reported sales of 27,557 units delivered in April 2017, a 1.6 percent increase over April 2016. With 96,426 units delivered year-to-date in April, the company is reporting an increase of 7.7 percent in year-over-year sales.

The german mass market brand has now turned a corner with sales slightly ahead of last year, but only just, the highlights of the increase at the Golf, Beetle, Beetle convertible and Passat, surprisingly the Golf GTi, Golf R and e-Golf all dropped sales, possibly with people awaiting the new MK VII Golf, unfortunately the Tiguan and Touareg both dipped sales, but the new Atlas and XL version of the Tiguan should help stem the crossovers decline.
