UK MARCH SALES - JEEP - More cars sold in March than the entire year in 2011 - Excellent.

Jeep’s growing momentum in the UK continues as figures revealed today (8 April) show new car registrations rose by 397 per cent in March 2015, when compared with the same period last year.

The ‘Go Anywhere, Do Anything’ brand registered 2,190 new cars last month, compared with 441 in March 2014, giving Jeep a 0.4 per cent market share against 0.1 per cent last year.  

It’s the 19^th consecutive month of year-on-year sales growth for the Jeep brand in the UK, and was Jeep’s second-best month ever in the UK after August 1997 – a time when there was only one registration plate change a year.

The impressive result is further put in into perspective when registrations for the whole of 2011 (2,146 cars) and 2010 (2,078 cars) are considered. 

It also means Jeep was the fastest-growing car brand in the UK during the first quarter.

“Nineteen consecutive months of growth tells its own story,” says Damien Dally, head of brand, Jeep UK. 

“But when you see the sheer size of the increase in March 2015, compared with where we were this time last year, you really get a feel for how firmly Jeep has put itself back into customers’ considerations.

“We are bringing a new choice to UK drivers – against some tough competition – and we are working hard to ensure this current success will continue.

Jeep’s growing popularity in the UK continues as figures revealed today show new car registrations rose by 165 percent in February 2015, when compared with the same period last year.

The ‘Go Anywhere, Do Anything’ brand is certainly going in the right direction in the sales charts, registering 196 new cars last month, compared with 74 in February 2014. It’s the 18^th consecutive month of year-on-year sales growth.

“We’ve been telling people that Jeep is back, and I’m delighted that these latest figures once again confirm our claims,” says Damien Dally, head of brand, Jeep UK. “We are more than holding our own against some tough competition and we are determined to continue doing that.
