NEVS utilises a new designed name and replaces SAAB, as they ready a new EV based on the old 9-3 platform.

NEVS’ vision is to shape mobility for a more sustainable future by focusing solely on electric vehicles with mobility solutions built around them. To support this vision a new brand identity has been developed – NEVS.
NEVS will be the trademark of the company’s products including the first electric vehicle based on the 9-3 platform with start in 2017. That means that NEVS will no longer use the Saab trademark.

The automotive industry is changing rapidly to better fit societies struggling with pollution and congestion problems. NEVS intends to be in the forefront of this change.
With sincere respect to our history and heritage, we want to be recognized as ourselves – A sustainable mobility solutions provider who are committed to the environment with a focused growth plan with its own brand as a corner stone, said Mattias Bergman, President NEVS.
NEVS long-term business goal is set globally, with China as its first priority and most demanding market for the coming years. NEVS intends to build a strong footprint in China as a base for a global expansion, and continue to establish partnerships with forefront runners to shape the future of mobility solutions.
A number of framework agreements have already been signed, including a strategic partnership agreement with Panda New Energy to deliver 150,000 electric cars and another 100,000 electric commercial vehicles, as well as the collaboration with Chinese State Grid, the world’s largest electric utility company.
NEVS has a unique position by combining proven ability to develop and build high quality premium cars and at the same time the opportunity to build an automotive company for the future with new owners and partners specialized in for instance car sharing solutions and charging infrastructure.
"I believe the tipping point for electric vehicles is very near in many key markets. We aim to contribute to a more sustainable city planning, and together with our partners such as State Grid and Panda New Energy jointly introduce a new business model for mobility", said Jonas Hernqvist, VP Sales & Marketing NEVS.
A transparent approach – with traits such as being inclusive, honest and genuine – is essential for NEVS, both in terms of behavior and visualization. From colors to imagery, our new brand design should always reflect our aim of shaping mobility for a more sustainable future.

With a firm place on the motoring calendar, the family-friendly Cholmondeley Pageant of Power is one of the most-loved motorsport events in the UK. This year it’s shaking things up with a new name and a host of exciting features including a revised format.
Today at London’s Hurlingham Club, organisers announced that the ninth staging of the Cheshire-based event would be held under a new name encapsulating its roots - Cholmondeley Power and Speed.
Along with the name change, the main theme for 2016 was announced.

From 10th to 12th June, visitors will be invited to celebrate supercars past, present and future, such as the 1969 Lamborghini Miura, 1973 Porsche 911 2.7 RS Touring, 2015 Aston Martin Vanquish and 2016 McLaren 650S present at the launch. From stunning displays to thrilling on track action, attendees will be able to get up close and personal with some of the most powerful, eye-catching and revered supercars and bikes in the world.
The 2016 staging of the event will also feature the inaugural Motorshow Live. Taking place on the Friday of the event, this all-new element of Cholmondeley Power and Speed will give car manufacturers the opportunity to demonstrate their latest models on track while enabling guests to test drive in a unique racing environment.
James Hall, event director said: “Over the past eight years, we have worked to keep our annual motorsport event at Cholmondeley Castle as entertaining, family-friendly and fresh as possible, resulting in record visitor numbers last year. With a racetrack that rewards power and speed, we felt it was time for these key factors to be better represented in the event name and after much thought, Cholmondeley Power and Speed was born.”
“We teamed the new name with a revised format which allows us to offer manufacturers a hands-on experience for their guests, seeing first-hand what makes our track special in some truly great cars. We are sure that this, combined with the on and off-track action, air displays and water activity for which Cholmondeley has become famous, will make 2016 the best and most exciting event yet.”
Additional features and content on land, air and water will be announced over the coming weeks, with all elements of the event once again set against the stunning backdrop of Cholmondeley Castle and its beautiful parkland.

Bugatti has confirmed that the next Hyper car will be called the Chiron, after Louis Chiron a works driver in the 20's

  • Louis Chiron was the most successful Bugatti works driver and the best racing driver in the world in his time
  • Bugatti Chiron to make its world debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show
  • Bugatti Chiron will be the world’s most powerful, fastest, most luxurious and most exclusive production super sports car
  • Bugatti President Wolfgang Dürheimer: “With the Chiron, we will make the best significantly better.”
  • Exclusive pre-marketing of the Chiron produces outstanding feedback from customers – more than 100 orders already received
The next Bugatti is to be called Chiron. It will be named after Louis Chiron, a legendary racing driver who won virtually all the major grands prix for the brand in the 1920s and 1930s.
His name is more closely connected with the history of Bugatti than any other racing driver. The world premiere of the new super sports car from Molsheim in France is planned for the 86th Geneva Motor Show in 2016.
With the Chiron, Bugatti will continue to produce the world’s most powerful, fastest, most luxurious and most exclusive production super sports car. The Bugatti Chiron is currently being shown to selected customers and the feedback is outstanding; more than 100 orders have already been received.

“The development brief for the Chiron can be summarised in one sentence and is probably the shortest in the history of the automobile: we want to make the best significantly better,” says Wolfgang Dürheimer, President of Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S. “The Chiron will set new standards in every respect. We will continue to produce the world’s most powerful, fastest, most luxurious and most exclusive production super sports car. This is the claim of Bugatti and our customers.”
“In Louis Chiron, we found a worthy patron for a new model in the history of our brand,” Dürheimer continues. “The name of the best racing driver and the most successful Bugatti driver of his time for the best super sports car of the present day – that is the ideal combination.”
Currently, the Chiron is undergoing final testing. A number of prototypes are on the road in several continents for the fine tuning of the vehicle – right down to the last detail under a variety of road and climate conditions. No other production super sports car of this calibre will be subjected to such a stringent, comprehensive test programme.
At the same time, pre-marketing of the Chiron is now underway. Bugatti has invited selected customers in the brand’s key markets to private previews. “The feedback from our customers concerning the Chiron is outstanding,” says the Bugatti President. “Our order book is steadily filling up. More than 100 customers have already ordered the Chiron despite the fact that they have had no opportunity so far to experience the fantastic driving properties of the Chiron.“
Lydie Barre-Chiron, descendant and biographer of Louis Chiron, recently visited the Bugatti’s headquarters in Molsheim to inspect the vehicle that will bear the name of her famous forebear. “The Chiron is a modern super sports car that is instantly recognisable as a Bugatti,” says Lydie Barre-Chiron. “It looks fantastic, just magnificent. The design already indicates that this car will be very powerful and very fast. If Louis Chiron were alive today, I’m sure he would be proud that such an extraordinary sports car is to bear his name and is to represent the brand with which he achieved his greatest successes.”
