Mindful of the common spirit that animates both brands, it is natural that Citroen has thought about the fashion Courrèges to sublimate your model E-MEHARI and make it a unique and luminous object.
A cheerful and electrical object, which sets the trend: obvious given the genetics of this iconic brand. A proposal for the two co-presidents, Jacques Bungert and Frederic Torloting, mobilized his design office, who led the development of the concept in collaboration with Citroën Design Center.
Both companies and express their willingness to invent new designs and working with future materials to create items that combine beauty and simplicity of use. A search for absolute modernity and a break with the traditional codes, inspired by real life and in sport to project large doses of happiness and inspiration. An association that naturally imposes a concept full of energy, bathed in light, open to the world and propelled by an innovative lithium polymer lithium metal.

Citroen Mehari E-styled by Courrèges maintains the same pattern of E-MEHARI doors, with their slots are a nod to the undulations of the body of the original Mehari, and seems to have a seductive white dress. This color dresses elegantly body, but also the four wheels of Citroen Mehari E-styled by Courrèges.
Only one edge of an orange vivid contrasts helps to achieve. Also committed to transparency at the height of the wheels and underlines the shape of a bow design edging central security. The back arch has disappeared to take two side belts and free up more space.
On board, and under an absolute need for comfort and exclusivity, a refined leather trim White saw the inside of the doors, the dashboard and the rear seat presents architectural square shapes.
The specific orange paint used in the concept also brings a note of joy within the interior, like the shot in bright orange vinyl extends across the dashboard and cut the characteristic aerators along. The door handles inherit the same two-tone treatment White / Orange, while the steering wheel and takes an unprecedented single-sided monochrome design.
In addition to his charismatic style they have been preserved practical and playful aspects of E-Citroen Mehari. Convertibles and with real seats 4 with raised seats, the Citroen Mehari E-styled by Courrèges has a fixed roof frosted Plexiglas, which has a wide opening to the outside for passengers. Mobile tailgate allows access to the boot area, which houses a collection of exclusive suitcases, with 3 models in leather White with bright orange vinyl, in complete harmony with the image of the vehicle.

Incomparable, without causing stress and noise, the concept Citroën E-MEHARI styled by Courrèges transmits a unique feeling of freedom behind the wheel, which fits perfectly into the current era: roll with hair in the wind and the silence of an electric car.
Designed for driving off-road thanks to its sobreelevada body, the E-Citroen Mehari becomes an object of desire trendsetting. His versatility and careful presentation makes it ideal for driving on the most elegant in every city or to get around the tourist areas of fashion model neighborhoods.
By combining beauty and simplicity of use, the concept car Citroën MEHARI E-styled by Courrèges represents the joy of living. It becomes a new way of talking pleasure in the car and embodies one of the essential values of both Citroën as Courrèges: optimism.
The concept Citroen Mehari E-styled by Courrèges is a fun car, a 'free electron', which recovers completely the spirit of Méhari 1968. We bring our experience in the field of automobile and Courrèges their own interpretation, to create a exclusive fashion item , "said Linda Jackson, Managing Director of Citroën.
"In 1968 Coqueline Courreges understood before one, that oil would not be eternal and it was time to do something for the planet.
He reached the catwalk Courrèges 1968 collection in the first small electric car he had built. 30 years later, it definitely opened the way for electric mobility technology thanks to its famous prototypes, which won the Challenge Continues today more than ever, personally, developing innovative projects around architectures / systems and electric cars, to continue with the aim of "changing life".
This collaboration with Citroën is therefore evidence for us all: we must support all initiatives that serve to promote the cause of new energies. We look to the future with optimism. "   Han said Frédéric Jacques Bungert & Torloting.
