The World’s Finest Grand Tourer
Joining the Bentayga on stand is the recently refreshed Continental GT Speed Convertible. New exterior styling including more pronounced fenders lend a more assertive and confident stance to the front of the car. Enhancing the GT’s iconic silhouette further, three new paint colours are available.
The upgrades continue inside the luxury cabin of the Continental range with a new style seat detailing, brightware elements, driver instruments, steering wheel and gear paddles. New material options and hide colours complete the refresh. Onboard WiFi, providing connectivity to all handheld devices in the car is also now available across the Continental family.
The mighty 6.0-litre twin turbo W12 engine receives a power and torque increase, from 575 PS (567 bhp / 423 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb.ft) to 590 PS (582 bhp / 434 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb.ft), to maintain the model’s reputation of effortless performance. The power upgrade is accompanied by improvements to fuel economy and efficiency.
Unrivalled, Effortless Speed
The Mulsanne Speed completes Bentley’s production-model line-up at Frankfurt. Tailored for the driver, the Mulsanne Speed delivers the fastest handcrafted luxury driving experience in the world.
Bentley’s mighty 6¾-litre twin-turbo V8 engine propels the Mulsanne Speed to 60 mph in 4.8 seconds (0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds) and on to a top speed of 190 mph (305 km/h), whilst modern exterior and interior bespoke styling features define the Mulsanne Speed as a statement in quintessential British luxury.
Bentley GT3
Bentley’s Continental GT3 takes a break from the 2015 racing season to join the Bentley model range at the IAA. The racecar explores the potential of the Continental GT in its most extreme form, exploiting the performance and endurance DNA in every road-going Bentley.
The 2015 season has seen the continued growth of the Bentley international motorsport programme, with Works-supported teams racing in six different series across four continents and customers taking their Continental GT3s to an ever-expanding selection of new countries and GT races.
Bentley Inspirator: A Journey Through Personalisation
Inspiration can now be transformed into recommendation, via Bentley’s latest innovation: The Inspirator.
Using a device’s camera function, the application’s facial and emotion recognition software measures expressions on the user’s face as they react to a variety of emotional and evocative imagery.
These reactions are then interpreted by the app and a bespoke Bentley for that customer is configured, providing ideas and suggestions for tailored options based on their needs, tastes and preferences.
The Bentley Collection
Bentley Motors is announcing a new look Bentley Collection which will also debut at Frankfurt Motorshow. Over 100 new items embody the essence of the Bentley brand, with their unparalleled craftsmanship and incredible attention to detail.

FRANKFURT - Bentley to showcase a new accessories collection at the German Auto Show.

  • Collection for men and women highlights all aspects of the modern Bentley lifestyle
  • Debut for the new Collection at the Bentley Boutique at Frankfurt IAA
  • Bentley core values of craftsmanship, exquisite materials and attention to detail translated into desirable statement items for discerning global customers
Bentley Motors is delighted to announce a luxurious and stylish new Bentley Collection which will debut at Frankfurt Motor Show on September 15. More than 300 new items embody the essence of the Bentley brand – unparalleled craftsmanship and incredible attention to detail.

The range comprises several distinct collections; Business, Style, Home, Heritage, Bespoke, Colour and Bentley.

Business

To ensure no compromise is made on style at work and in business, an array of leather accessories is available in the Business collection.

The Continental range of leather bags has been extended to include three exquisite accessories which ensure business travel is undertaken with confidence and flair; a briefcase in versions for both men and women and a weekender bag.

The Continental briefcase transforms Bentley design statements into a functional yet luxurious business item; two zipped pockets are arranged symmetrically on the main front panel, which has recognisable origins in the Bentley wings logo. Cross stitched handles echo the stitching seen on each Continental GT steering wheel, a tactile reminder of the inspiration behind the collection.

The ladies’ briefcase has been designed to complement the Barnato and Continental handbags, with a shape that combines the features of both a Boston bag and a briefcase.

The result is a spacious business case that can also be used as an overnight bag. The interior comprises two compartments, one for clothing and personal items, and another for business use. A central compartment provides easy yet secure access to wallets, phones and other essential items.

Soft travel bags are available individually or as a four piece luggage set, made specifically to stow easily in the Bentayga luggage compartment. These can be ordered either in Beluga or commissioned to match the interior leather on your car.

Style

The Style collection is inspired by Bentley’s unmistakable design language, taking high fashion concepts and translating them into Bentley items for practical daily use.

The range includes the much coveted Bentley Handbag collection. The Continental handbag, named after the iconic Bentley GT, is reinvented in a new, smaller size, which is introduced alongside the original Continental and Barnato handbags.

New colours refresh the collection for Autumn. Drawn from Bentley’s extended colour palette, Burnt Oak, Portland, and Dark Sapphire are subtle tones which provide a more muted yet luxurious colour palette with which to usher in the new season.

Also within the Style collection is a new range of scarves. The design showcases many design features and landmarks drawn from the world of Bentley which form an abstract print, and a sophisticated addition to any outfit.

Home

Luxurious home accessories in the finest materials bring Bentley style inside. An equestrian blanket crafted from cashmere forms one of the highlights. The blanket comes in hues of Camel and Portland to provide a cosy addition to any room, or alternatively the throw offers a stylish layer to take with you when attending the outdoor events of autumn.

A Bentley photo frame designed in Portland leather and chrome edging will make a stylish addition to any room, while the aroma of vintage leather can now be experienced with an ambience enhancing scented candle.

A unique handmade desk clock, crafted by the experts at Breitling in Piano Black, joins the Burr Walnut desk clock in the Collection, and is evocative of the craftsmanship seen within a Bentley.

Colour

For Bentley customers exterior paint choice is only limited by their imagination. For the Bentley Collection the 120 colours in Bentley’s extended paint palette have inspired a striking range of handcrafted clothing, leather goods and accessories.

Neptune, Moroccan Blue, Magenta, Portland and Highland Hare are among the most popular Bentley hues, some classic, others which never fail to draw a second glance, and have been interpreted in a range of polo shirts, down jackets, and other useful items such as travel pouches, coin trays and luggage tags.

Attention to detail is paramount throughout, and can be seen through the reproduction of the matrix grille pattern inside collars and cuffs of the clothes, an extension of the ethos that the details you don’t see are as important as those you do.

Heritage

The Heritage collection celebrates Bentley’s rich history. The spirit and flair of the Bentley Boys in the 1920s provides endless inspiration.

The choice of colours and materials in the heritage collection has been informed by these years, quintessentially British shades such as Racing Green and Dark Sapphire are used, while a modern interpretation of Tim Birkin’s own ‘Birkin Spot’ motif accents the range.

Inspiring items in the heritage collection include a weekender race bag and a race back pack, both a functional and stylish interpretation of the heritage theme. Both accessories feature the number nine – a number with special significance for Bentley. It was used to identify what became one of the most famous Bentleys ever built: the supercharged 4.5 Litre ‘Blower’ that Bentley Boy Tim Birkin drove at Le Mans in 1930.

The Blower is seen again in scarf form, which features the famous racer in luxurious cashmere, resulting in a stylish accessory for the modern day Bentley aficionado.

Bentley

Since the company was founded in 1919 Bentley has been a magnet for motor enthusiasts of all kinds. While some will become Bentley owners themselves, there are many for whom the brand’s history, its cars and the success of its present day motorsport teams are every bit as important as the ownership of a luxury car.

To celebrate the launch of Bentayga, precision crafted scale models have been created, each exquisitely made in colours that match the real cars – exclusive to the Bentley Collection.

Three 1:43 scale models are available. Dark Sapphire and Glacier White are limited to only one thousand units, while a Bentayga Bronze version, exactly matching the launch model at Frankfurt Motor Show, is limited to only 250 models. All will be available alongside the Bentayga at Frankfurt IAA.

The largest and most detailed model, a 1:18 version in Extreme Silver, is also limited to a run of one thousand and will be available from November.

Price List

Bentley Collection items are available globally from Bentley dealers from October 1, or alternatively online atwww.bentleycollection.com.

Cant get enough of your Bentley car ? Get some Bentley furniture as well.

  • Unique quilted diamond pattern inspired by interiors of Bentley models
  • Sophisticated seating options include sofas and chairs
  • Colours palette features ivory and taupe

The new Bentley Home collection is inspired by the renowned craftsmanship and exquisite materials that characterise the interiors of all Bentley models.  Designed to furnish luxury homes and offices, the collection combines Bentley’s inherent qualities of craftsmanship, heritage and tradition, exclusivity and style, with the exacting design of one of Europe’s leading furniture makers.

This exclusive collection blends the finest elements of traditional and modern design, an exercise in subtlety rather than showmanship, incorporating functional performance with comfort and luxurious, sensuous quality. It captures the elan of the Bentley driver, through items that mirror the impeccable quality and attention to detail which is a landmark of the Bentley brand.

The bodies of the new Richmond pieces are created with an embracing double shell and can be covered in either leather or a fine veneer of burr walnut. The same wide selection of veneers which is available for Bentley car customers is also available for most pieces in the collection. The wood is then carefully matched to a padded structure covered in a sophisticated light cashmere. The seating reflects the level of comfort and luxury found in the Crewe-based marque, which makes it unique in its class.

The colour palette is composed of varying neutral tones of ivory and taupe matched with shades of beige and cream. Intricate details such as the leather braid around the contours highlight the soft and sinuous lines. The iconic quilted diamond pattern embossed in the leather interiors of a Bentley has also been interpreted into the unique designs of the furniture.

The new collection consists of the following new pieces:

Richmond

An elegant and sophisticated line of seating which includes sofas, chaise longues and armchairs. The enveloping external structure can have a veneer finish or leather cover. In contrast, the inner structure is covered in leather or linen or in fine cashmere velvet. The profile is embellished by a leather braid.

Madeley & Kendal

A large oval or round meeting table with refined Kendal chairs embellished with leather and the Bentley logo which can be embroidered on the back, on request. A trapezoidal structured table made of curved wood panels with edges embellished in hand-made leather coating. The feet are made of steel with a gun-metal finish.

Sherbourne & Kingsbridge

Tall and short leather-coated cabinets with veneered fronts; these are also available in smooth or quilted leather. Tone-on-tone lacquered interiors with external coatings and shelves of crystal represent the luxury and quality of both Bentley and Club House Italia, part of the Luxury Living Group. The handles and feet are also made from steel with a complementing gun-metal grey finish.

Harlow

A modern coffee table with metal steel structure and a complimentary gun-metal grey finish. The surface is made from onyx or leather coated.

Canterbury

The bed is characterised by an imposing headboard, embracing coated structure available in leather or fabric. The shapes are soft and convoluted, working in harmony with the contemporary and informal line. An innovative duvet cover, Fibra di Legno®, is a high-quality fabric made from wood pulp that gives the yarn softness and smoothness, adding to the luxurious feel of this piece.

UK government invests in more charger posts, Nissan is over joyed.

  • Government to invest £37m in EV charging network
  • New scheme drops installed home charger cost by 75 per cent
  • Government scheme will also boost availability of public chargers too
  • Scheme announced as Nissan prepares to begin LEAF production at Sunderland
SUNDERLAND (February 19, 2013) – Electric mobility has taken another huge leap forward thanks to significant investment in the UK’s charging network that will make it easier than ever to own and run an electric car.
As part of the £37m scheme, the Government has announced that it will contribute 75% to the cost of an installed charger at a home address anywhere in the UK. As well as the home charging bonus, the Government has announced some other major benefits for the entire charging network.
Working with local authorities, the new scheme will see a 75% contribution to the cost of installing public chargers such as rapid chargers – which can charge a LEAF to 80% in just 30 minutes – and also other on-street public chargers. In addition, Government is contributing 75% towards the cost of installing charging points at railway stations, while any public sector organisation – such as the police, NHS, local government – wanting an on-site charging point will now have the installation carried out for free.

The announcement comes with production of the 100% electric Nissan LEAF and a new lithium-ion battery plant set to launch at the company’s record-breaking Sunderland Plant this spring.
John Martin, Nissan’s Senior Vice President for Manufacturing in Europe, said: “We are at a crossroads in personal mobility. Nissan is proudly pioneering zero emission technology through our UK operations and we are delighted that the UK Government is showing it shares our commitment to the transport of the future.
“Electric vehicles become a way of life if the charging infrastructure is in place and Governments are committed to helping drivers to make the switch. We know this from the experiences of Nissan LEAF drivers in countries like Norway where a network of charge points is already in place.

“Manufacturing lithium-ion batteries and the 100% electric Nissan LEAF at our Sunderland Plant has already put the UK at the forefront of electric vehicle technology. This announcement has the potential to make the UK a global leader in EV infrastructure and in turn to accelerate the introduction of electric vehicles in Britain.”
Nissan has developed its own Quick Charger technology and has already donated 86 of these free of charge to the UK to help kick-start the country’s charging network.
