Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

Citroen thanks its ten million followers of Social Media for joining them online.

Citroën celebrates reaching 10 million global fans on Facebook by giving back to fans with a unique GIF. Fans are invited to find out which of them is the most important in Citroën’s eyes. After clicking the link, the surprise is that they are automatically directed to their own profile page; an original way to show that each fan is just as important as the other.

Citroën’s international Facebook page has gained a new GIF featuring a large heart aimed at each and every member of the brand’s Facebook fan base, which is now in excess of 10 million.

Citroën aims to thank its fans by offering them the opportunity to find out which of them is the most valued by the brand. The twist is that the link returns them directly to their own profile page proving that each fan is appreciated.
Citroën has topped the 10 million fan mark on Facebook, an achievement that once again reflects the close ties with its communities on social media including:
  • The creation of a Facebook page dedicated to the New C3 with a day-to-day log of activities during the launch period.
  • The first 100% mobile vehicle configurator on Facebook with the New C3.
These close ties are further strengthened by New C3 with the world’s first built-in dashcam, ConnectedCAM Citroën™. Citroën is encouraging its fans to use ConnectedCAM Citroën™ and to share their photos and videos on social media.
Today, Citroën has over 10 million global fans: a symbolic milestone underlining the brand’s strong momentum. Taiwan and Hong Kong recently joined the community, taking the number of Citroën Facebook pages worldwide to 79. The brand counts more than 13 million fans across all its social media channels worldwide.

The Stunning Fiat 124 Spider returns after nearly 50 years after the original, watch these amusing video's

  • FIAT brand reaches new heights with “Free Like a Bird” video filmed by a white-tailed eagle
  • Video includes music “Free Like A Bird” feat. Wyclef Jean
  • “No Blue Pill Needed,” celebrating the return of the Fiat 124 Spider, is follow-up to FIAT brand’s award-winning “Blue Pill” video
  • Two videos to run online across FIAT brand’s digital and social channels, including FIATUSA.com, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
  • The FIAT brand worked closely with FREEDOM, a conservation movement that supports and protects threatened birds of prey
  • 2017 Fiat 124 Spider returns nearly 50 years after original introduction; revival of roadster continues expansion of FIAT brand in North America
  • Fiat 124 Spider Lineup includes: Classica, $24,995; Lusso, $27,495; and Abarth, $28,195 (MSRP)

The FIAT brand marks the return of the all-new 2017 Fiat 124 Spider with the debut of two new videos, “Free Like a Bird” and “No Blue Pill Needed.” The videos will live on the brand’s YouTube, Twitter and Facebook channels, with additional content across its digital and social channels, including Instagram.

“Our creative mindset is to always innovate. ‘Free Like a Bird’ is the first commercial ever filmed by an eagle and this distinctive approach demanded music that was equally compelling to serve as the backdrop for the image, and Wyclef Jean enthusiastically jumped at the opportunity, creating a track that is likely to be another chart topper,” said Olivier Francois, Chief Marketing Officer, FCA – Global. “ ‘No Blue Pill Needed’ leverages the strength of the original award-wining 'Blue Pill,' which has over 30 million views on YouTube. Allowing our followers to act as a sound board for our campaigns has proven successful for the brand in the past. Posting longer-form versions of both videos – which first appeared during the reveal of the Fiat 124 Spider at the Geneva auto show and L.A. auto show, respectively – across the FIAT brand’s digital and social channels gives us the opportunity to see the fans' reactions to both and inspire our decision when it comes time to select the official television campaign.”

Free Like A Bird | 2017 FIAT 124 Spider | Feat. Wyclef Jean: In an automotive first, the FIAT brand reaches new heights with “Free Like a Bird,” which was filmed by an eagle in-flight through the mountains of Palinuro, Italy. The 1:22-minute video, with song “Free Like a Bird” feat. Wyclef Jean, lives on the FIAT brand’s YouTube channel, in addition to content across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (#FreeLikeABird). The spot begins with a bird's-eye view of a couple traveling through the Italian mountains in an all-new 2017 Fiat 124 Spider. With a subtle nod to the car model's heritage, a classic 1967 roadster passes by the all-new 2017 Fiat 124 Spider, before revealing the bird's-eye footage is being filmed by an eagle.

“No Blue Pill Needed”: After finding his bottle of blue pills empty, an elderly gentleman (Nini Salerno, with Adele Pandolfi reprising their roles from “Blue Pill,”) spies the all-new 2017 Fiat 124 Spider outside his window and uses it to race away to get more. Along the drive, set to the music “Papa Loves Mambo,” he discovers that his pills are no longer needed. He returns home to his wife and proudly announces that “we’re back” – a nod to the Fiat 124 Spider’s return to America. Supplementary social content will be posted across the Fiat social channels with the hashtag #NoBluePillNeeded.

F-Type's covered in the Union Flag tour the Great British Isles

  • A fleet of Union Jack liveried F-TYPEs has embarked on a ‘Best of British’ promotional tour as part of the car’s launch activity and Jaguar’s #YourTurnBritain social media campaign
  • Working with ambassadors Jamie Campbell Bower, Alice Temperley, MistaJam, Graeme Swann and Jimmy Anderson, the campaign celebrates the best of British film, design, music and sport
  • The tour started in London this month and visits Leeds and Newcastle (12th), Edinburgh and Glasgow (13th), Manchester and Liverpool (14th), Sheffield, Nottingham and Birmingham (15th) Cardiff, Bristol and Oxford (16th)

To celebrate the successful launch of the new F-TYPE sports car, Jaguar has launched its #YourTurnBritain campaign; inviting people to share photos that encapsulate the best of modern Britain through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Tumblr.  The best images submitted will win one of four unforgettable F-TYPE driving experiences.

A fleet of six F-TYPEs, with special Union Jack artwork, has embarked on a promotional tour of Britain in support of the new campaign.  The unique F-TYPE exterior finish was inspired by the recent ‘Best of British’-themed BBC Top Gear TV show, with an unprecedented line-up of UK automotive products on The Mall in London – led by three Jaguar F-TYPEs – each carrying a Union Flag.

So far, the #YourTurnBritain campaign has attracted more than 250,000 social interactions and over 2,000 competition entries across all social media platforms, with many blogs also contributing with their own celebrations of modern Britain.  The images encapsulate modern British culture, with a focus on design, sport, film and music, but all postings in line with the ‘modern Britain’ theme are welcomed.

Jaguar UK marketing director, Ken Forbes, said: “The F-TYPE is a game-changer for the Jaguar brand and introduces our product to a diverse prospective customer audience.  Already, the F-TYPE has won international awards, achieved critical acclaim from media worldwide and is destined to become another design icon from Jaguar.

“#YourTurnBritain is an opportunity to celebrate all things British, iconic and of the moment, which is how we consider the F-TYPE – a symbol of British success. We are delighted with the campaign and wish everyone who posts images through our social media channels the very best of luck.”

The Union Flag fleet of F-TYPEs embarks on its UK tour from 12th-16th August, taking in cities from Edinburgh to Oxford with social media users invited to suggest their favourite locations for the cars to appear. Londoners will also be able to see the cars from 12th-23rd August as they take residence at Canary Wharf.
