Purpose

I will try my best to provide detailed info on various cars and what is like to live with them, I have already produced a few for Jaguar-car-forums, I will do my best to be unbiased, but it will be hard for some cars. I will re-produce press releases and copy from other motoring news.

USA SALES FEBRUARY - KIA - Even with an all new car, sales are seriously down on the month.

Best-Ever February Sales for the Forte Family of Compact Cars
Kia Motors America today announced February sales of 42,673 units, led by the Optima midsize sedan with 8,892 units sold. The month also saw the best February sales performance in company history for the Forte family of compact cars, and 2,143 units of the all-new Niro crossoversold in its first full month of availability.

Although the brand had its best ever February for the Forte family and the Niro posted significant numbers in the month, it has to be noted that Kia US still posted sales of over 7,000 units lower than a year ago, and thats a number that the brand can not sustain for long before it becomes a major issue.

USA SALES JANUARY - KIA - The Korean Giant drops sales at a vast rate of knots.

  • All-New Niro Crossover Begins Arriving in Select Showrooms
Kia Motors America today announced January sales of 35,626 units, led by the Optima and Soul with 7,849 and 7,792 units sold, respectively. The first month of the year also marks the first retail deliveries of the all-new Niro crossover.

For the start of the year, the Forte was the ONLY model that actually grew sales over the same month a year earlier, added to which the All-New Niro and its handful of sales these were nowhere near enough to turn the brand around.

The new Rio might make inroads once it is launched, but the wait might be just too long if the sales continue to drop off at the rate that they already have.
