Nissan releases it's latest production, export and sales figures for the period from April to September 2015.

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced its production, sales and export figures for September and the six months from April to September 2015.
1. Production
September
Nissan's global production in September increased 0.8 percent year-on-year to 436,272 units.
Production in Japan increased 2.1 percent year-on-year to 72,662 units, mainly due to strong demand for the X-Trail.

Production outside of Japan increased 0.6 percent year-on-year to 363,610 units, marking an all-time record for the month of September.
In the U.S., production increased 3.7 percent year-on-year to 86,076 units, primarily due to increased demand for the Murano, marking an all-time record for the month of September.
In Mexico, production increased 4.2 percent year-on-year to 70,382 units, mainly due to strong sales of the NP300 Frontier and the Versa, marking an all-time record for the month of September.
In the U.K., production decreased 4.0 percent year-on-year to 47,009 units.
In Spain, production decreased 9.9 percent year-on-year to 7,476 units.
In China, production was up 3.4 percent year-on-year to 95,153 units, primarily due to increased demand for the Sylphy series.
Production in other regions was down 6.7 percent year-on-year to 57,514 units.
April-September
Nissan's global production from April to September increased 2.7 percent year-on-year to 2,520,338 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.
In Japan, domestic production increased 0.7 percent year-on-year to 416,457 units.
Production outside of Japan increased 3.1 percent year-on-year to 2,103,881 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.
In the U.S., production was up 2.1 percent year-on-year to 473,828 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.
In Mexico, production increased 1.9 percent year-on-year to 412,164 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.
In the U.K., production was down 3.2 percent year-on-year to 232,779 units.
In Spain, production decreased 30.2 percent year-on-year to 48,107 units.
In China, production was down 0.7 percent year-on-year to 570,338 units.
Production in other regions increased 20.6 percent year-on-year to 366,665 units.
2. Sales
September
Global sales increased 4.6 percent year-on-year to 460,509 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of September.
Japan:
  • Sales including mini-vehicles declined 8.3 percent year-on-year to 56,544 units.
  • Vehicle registrations decreased 5.5 percent year-on-year to 37,622 units.
  • Mini-vehicle sales decreased 13.4 percent year-on-year to 18,922 units.
Sales outside of Japan increased 6.7 percent year-on-year to 403,965 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of September.
Sales in the U.S. increased 18.3 percent year-on-year to 121,782 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of September, mainly due to higher demand for the Rogue and the Versa sedan.
Sales in Mexico increased 17.5 percent year-on-year to 28,313 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of September, mainly due to increased demand for the NP300 Frontier and the Versa.
In Europe, sales increased 11.8 percent year-on-year to 78,720 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of September, primarily due to strong sales of the Pulsar and the Qashqai.
In China, sales were up 2.9 percent year-on-year to 97,868 units, mainly due to increased demand for the X-Trail and the Sylphy series.
Sales in other regions were down 14.7 percent year-on-year to 65,117 units.
April-September
Global sales increased 1.3 percent year-on-year to 2,589,097 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.
Japan:
  • Sales including mini-vehicles declined 9.0 percent year-on-year to 264,793 units.
  • Vehicle registrations decreased 3.7 percent year-on-year to 176,061 units.
  • Mini-vehicle sales decreased 17.9 percent year-on-year to 88,732 units.
Sales outside of Japan were up 2.6 percent year-on-year to 2,324,304 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.
Sales in the U.S. increased 6.6 percent year-on-year to 754,860 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.
Sales in Mexico increased 20.3 percent year-on-year to 166,095 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.
In Europe, sales were up 10.0 percent year-on-year to 367,141 units, marking a record high for the April-September period.
In China, sales decreased 2.6 percent year-on-year to 562,455 units.
Sales in other regions were down 5.3 percent year-on-year to 399,631 units.
3. Japan exports
September
Nissan's exports in September decreased 7.6 percent year-on-year to 36,954 units.
April-September
Nissan's exports increased 6.9 percent year-on-year to 249,727 units

Nissan has announced its production, sales & export results for June & the first half of calendar year 2015.

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced its production, sales and export results for June 2015 and for the first half of calendar year 2015 (January-June).
1. Production
June 2015
Nissan's global production in June increased 4.6% year-on-year to 462,078 units, marking an all-time record for the month of June.

Production in Japan increased 0.7% year-on-year to 78,440 units, mainly due to increased demand for the X-Trail.
Production outside Japan increased 5.4% year-on-year to 383,638 units, marking an all-time record for the month of June.

In the U.S., production increased 4.1% year-on-year to 84,009 units, marking an all-time record for the month of June, mainly due to increased demand for the new Maxima and the Murano.
In Mexico, production decreased 0.1% year-on-year to 73,579 units.
In the U.K., production increased 1.5% year-on-year to 44,937 units.
In Spain, production decreased 28.7% year-on-year to 10,556 units.
In China, production increased 3.0% year-on-year to 103,713 units, mainly due to increased demand for the X-Trail and the Sylphy series.
Production in other regions was up 34.4% year-on-year to 66,844 units, mainly due to an increase in production volume of the Rogue (X-Trail in Japan), which is produced in Korea for the North America market, and the NP300 Navara produced in Thailand.
First half: January-June 2015
Nissan's global production declined 1.7% year-on-year to 2,579,631 units.

In Japan, production decreased 0.6% year-on-year to 454,690 units.
Outside Japan, production decreased 1.9% year-on-year to 2,124,941 units.
In the U.S., production decreased 1.8% year-on-year to 479,067 units.
In Mexico, production increased 0.4% year-on-year to 414,026 units, marking an all-time record for the January-June period.
In the U.K., production was down 10.6% year-on-year to 245,570 units.
In Spain, production decreased 27.5% year-on-year to 63,013 units.
In China, production declined 8.3% year-on-year to 551,537 units.
Production in other regions was up 22.8% year-on-year to 371,728 units.
2. Sales
June 2015
Global sales increased 2.3% year-on-year to 452,022 units, marking an all-time record for the month of June.

Japan:
  • Sales including mini-vehicles declined 3.3% year-on-year to 48,652 units
  • Vehicle registrations increased 2.0% year-on-year to 32,159 units, mainly due to an increase in sales of the X-Trail
  • Mini-vehicle sales decreased 12.2% year-on-year to 16,493 units
Sales outside of Japan increased 3.1% year-on-year to 403,370 units, marking an all-time record for the month of June.
In the U.S., sales increased 13.3% year-on-year to 124,228 units, mainly due to higher demand for the Rogue and the Murano, marking an all-time record for the month of June.
In Mexico, sales increased 28.7% year-on-year to 28,370 units, marking an all-time record for the month of June, mainly due to higher sales volume of the X-Trail and the new NP300 Frontier.
In Europe, sales increased 17.4% year-on-year to 73,039 units, marking an all-time sales record for the month of June, mainly due to increased demand for the X-Trail and the Pulsar.
In China, sales were up 0.1% year-on-year to 93,642 units, mainly due to sales of the X-Trail and the Sylphy series.
Sales in other regions decreased 2.7% year-on-year to 71,421 units.
First half: January-June 2015
Global sales increased 0.6% year-on-year to 2,726,511 units, marking an increase for the second consecutive year and an all-time record for the January-June period.

Japan:
  • Sales including mini-vehicles were 326,880 units, down 15.6% year-on-year
  • Vehicle registrations declined 16.6% year-on-year to 206,764 units
  • Sales of mini-vehicles decreased 13.7% year-on-year to 120,116 units
Sales outside of Japan were up 3.2% year-on-year to 2,399,631 units, marking an all-time record for the January-June period.
In the U.S., sales increased 4.5% year-on-year to 736,483 units, marking an all-time record for the January-June period.
In Mexico, sales increased 25.8% year-on-year to 161,382 units, marking an all-time record for the January-June period.
Sales in Europe were up 9.2% year-on-year to 409,938 units, marking an all-time record for the January-June period.
In China, sales increased 5.7% year-on-year to 587,922 units.
Sales in other regions were up 0.2% year-on-year to 440,048 units.
3. Japan exports
June 2015
Nissan's exports in June increased 10.6% year-on-year to 50,048 units, mainly due to increased demand for the X-Trail.

First half: January-June 2015
Nissan's exports in January-June increased 21.7% year-on-year to 265,981 units, posting an increase for the first time in three years.

Nissan announces production, sales and export figures for 2013.

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today announced its production, sales and export figures for December 2013 and calendar year 2013.


1. Production
December
Nissan's global production in December increased 15.4% year-on-year to 396,211 units.

Production in Japan was down 5.8% year-on-year to 82,544 units. This is mainly due to decreased volume of Rogue. As previously announced, models for sale in the U.S are now produced at Nissan's Smyrna, Tennessee plant.

Production outside of Japan increased 22.7% year-on-year to 313,667 units, marking an all-time record for the month of December.

In the U.S., production increased 16.0% year-on-year to 57,629 units, mainly due to higher demand for the new Rogue, Nissan LEAF and Sentra.

In Mexico, production decreased 4.4% year-on-year to 38,574 units.

In the U.K., production decreased 12.5% year-on-year to 27,706 units, as consumers anticipated arrival of the new Qashqai.

In Spain, production increased 0.4% year-on-year to 8,177 units.

In China, production was 130,580 units, a robust year-on-year increase of 120.3%. This was mainly due to increased demand for the Sylphy series, Tiida, Qashqai and Teana, and is an all-time record for the month of December.

Production in other regions decreased 1.7% year-on-year to 51,001 units.

Calendar Year 2013
Nissan's global production in 2013 increased 1.3% year-on-year to 4,950,924 units, achieving an all-time calendar year record.

Production in Japan decreased 16.0% year-on-year to 964,546 units.

Overseas production increased 6.6% year-on-year to 3,986,378 units, reaching a record high for a calendar year.

In the U.S., production increased 22.9% year-on-year to 792,135 units.

In Mexico, production decreased 0.5% year-on-year to 680,278 units.

In the U.K., production decreased 1.7% year-on-year to 501,745 units.

In Spain, production decreased 7.9% year-on-year to 131,862 units.

In China, production was up 18.0% year-on-year to 1,247,249 units, achieving an all-time calendar year record. There has been five straight months of production increases since August.

Production in other regions increased 5.9% year-on-year to 633,109 units.

2. Sales
December
Global sales increased 15.0% year-on-year to 459,618 units, marking an all-time record for the month of December.

Including mini-vehicles, Nissan sold 46,193 units in Japan, up 18.3% year-on-year.

In Japan, vehicle registrations in December increased 1.0% year-on-year to 31,416 units.

Mini-vehicle sales in Japan increased 86.0% year-on-year to 14,777 units, mainly due to strong sales of Nissan DAYZ, marking an all-time record for the month of December.

Sales outside of Japan increased 14.6% year-on-year to 413,425 units.

Sales in the U.S. increased 10.5% year-on-year to 109,758 units, mainly due to higher demand for the new Rogue and Sentra, marking an all-time record for the month of December.

Sales in Mexico increased 1.5% year-on-year to 28,748 units, marking an all-time sales record for a single month. Nissan has been the sales leader in Mexico for 55 consecutive months.

In Europe, sales increased 8.8% year-on-year to 55,941 units, mainly due to increased sales in Russia.

In China, sales increased 70.4% year-on-year to 134,155 units, mainly due to increased demand for the Sylphy series, Teana and Qashqai, marking an all-time record for a single month.

Sales in other regions decreased 9.9% year-on-year to 77,817 units.

Calendar Year 2013
Global sales in 2013 increased 3.3% year-on-year to 5,102,979 units, setting an all-time calendar year record.

Including mini-vehicles, Nissan sold 678,824 units in Japan, up 2.9% year-on-year.

In Japan, Nissan's vehicle registrations in 2013 decreased 2.7% year-on-year to 492,895 units.

Domestic sales of mini-vehicles were up 21.3% on the previous year to 185,929 units, reaching a record high for a calendar year.

Sales outside of Japan increased 3.4% year-on-year to 4,424,155 units, marking an all-time calendar year record.

In the U.S., sales increased 9.4% year-on-year to 1,248,421 units, marking an all-time calendar year record.

In Mexico, sales increased 7.6% year-on-year to 264,463 units, marking an all-time calendar year record.

In Europe, sales decreased 4.0% year-on-year to 651,476 units.

In China, sales were up 17.2% year-on-year to 1,266,167 units, achieving an all-time calendar year record. There has been six straight months of sales increases since July.

Sales in other regions decreased 5.1% year-on-year to 900,804 units.

3. Japan Exports
December
Nissan's exports in December decreased 31.0% year-on-year to 45,386 units.

Calendar Year 2013
Nissan's exports in calendar year 2013 decreased 19.6% year-on-year to 542,415 units.
